Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was aimed at determining the influence of project citizen based on mass media on student’s critical thinking skills, and the implication towards student’s personal resilient in second grade of Senior High School 4 Surakarta, Central Java.This research was a quasi experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted in class XI semester 2 at Senior High School 4 Surakarta, Central Java in the academic year 2017/2018. The research population was all of second grade student’s in Senior High School 4 Surakarta, Central Java. Sampling was taken by simple random sampling technique. This study used one experiment group and one control group. Data collection was done through pretest, posttest, questionnaire, and observation. The research instruments in this research were test and non test instruments. The data analysis technique used multivariate analysis of variance manova test using SPSS 22.0.The result of this research showed that  there was significant influence of project citizen model based on mass media on student’s critical thinking skills with significance of 0.033 ≤ 0.05. The equal 0.033 with positive signs indicated the positive direction (accordance), meaning that the better implementation of project citizen model based on mass media, the better also student’s critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills that showed a positive direction have implications towards student's personal resilience. The critical thinking skills that students possess were essentially clear or logical thinking and actually look deeply at relevant concepts by exploring things like the fundamental problem. In the process of critical thinking, all things are considered to be contemplated, thought out, and then concluded logically and clearly. It is a high-level thinking skill that becomes student's personal resilience as a young citizen in order to analyze problem solvingABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh praktik belajar kewarganegaraan berbasis media massa terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan implikasinya terhadap ketahanan pribadi siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta, Jawa Tengah.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental (eksperimen semu) dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI semester 2 di SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta, Jawa Tengah tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI di SMA N 4 Surakarta, Jawa Tengah. Teknik pemilihan sampel yaitu teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada satu kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara pretest, posttest, kuesioner, dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes dan non tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji analisis multivariat varian menggunakan program SPSS 22.0.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan positif dari model praktik belajar kewarganegaraan berbasis media massa terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,033 ≤ 0,05. Angka 0,033 bertanda positif menunjukkan arah positif (searah), artinya bahwa semakin baik penerapan praktik belajar kewarganegaraan berbasis media massa maka semakin baik pula keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang menunjukkan arah positif (searah) berimplikasi terhadap ketahanan pribadi siswa. Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki siswa merupakan pemikiran secara jelas atau logis dan benar-benar melihat secara mendalam terhadap berbagai konsep yang relevan dengan mengeksplorasi hal-hal seperti masalah yang mendasar. Dalam proses berpikir kritis, semua hal dipertimbangkan untuk direnungkan, dipikirkan, kemudian disimpulkan secara logis dan jelas. Hal ini merupakan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang menjadi ketahanan pribadi siswa dalam rangka analisis penyelesaian masalah.

Abstract

Bima has many traditions and local wisdom that should continuously preserve, one of which is the traditional ceremonies of Hanta Ua Pua. This tradition is one of the Bima conventional ceremonies in the context of enlivening the birthday of the great prophet Muhammad. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the implementation and values contained in the Hanta Ua Pua traditional ceremonial religious tradition as an effort to preserve Islamic culture in Bima. This article prepares using the method of library research, which is a method of data collection that is carriers out by utilizing the sources and materials of the library. The results and conclusions obtained are the traditional ceremonies of the Hanta Ua Pua ceremony, which are a memorial and a tribute event to the teachings of Islam and scholars. Done since the Sultanate of Bima. The values in this ceremony divide into three, namely social values, spiritual values, and educational values. The Hanta Ua Pua traditional ceremonies are evidence of the entrance and development of Islamic culture in Bima, which is expected to grow and develop the character of the Bima people who can continue to hold fast to Islamic teachings. However, along with the times, the ceremony began to fade in Bima.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the Gawai culture in shaping the values of solidarity among the Dayak tribal communities in West Kalimantan. This article was prepared using the library research method, namely the method of collecting data by utilizing literature sources and materials. The result of the conclusion is that Gawai is a traditional Dayak ceremony which has become a tradition to this day. The Dayak gawai is one of the traditional ceremonies which is still actively carried out by the Dayak people. The Gawai Dayak traditional ceremony is one of the sources of local history in West Kalimantan. The implementation of the traditional Gawai ceremony aims to ask for safety and gratitude to God for the harvest which is usually done every one year. The traditional Gawai ceremony is held after the main harvest and ends with the traditional ritual of Rising Dango and reciting incantations and prayers or commonly known as Matik which aims to ask for blessings to God or Jubata. The implementation of the traditional gawai ceremony requires the involvement of all Dayak tribal communities to be able to work together in the preparation and implementation. Therefore, gadgets become the media needed to renew the spirit and sense of solidarity between Dayak tribal communities in West Kalimantan. The Gawai Traditional Ceremony is one of the very sacred religious rituals for the Dayak Tribe, therefore the Gawai Traditional ceremony only involves the Dayak Tribe. However, as the times progressed, the government tried to preserve the traditional Gawai ceremony, so that it became a routine tourism agenda in Pontianak City every year.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana membangun wawasan global warga negara muda berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai karakter bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode grounded theory. Sumber data terdiri dari sumber kepustakaan dan responden yang dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai karakter bangsa Indonesia harus dijadikan sebagai landasan dalam pengembangan wawasan global warga negara muda. Sila kedua Pancasila menjadi pintu utama pengembangan wawasan global warga negara muda. Pancasila sebagai landasan dalam pengembangan wawasan global warga negara, membawa implikasi bahwa warga negara muda di sekolah tidak hanya menjadikan nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai slogan, melainkan harus diterapkan dan diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: wawasan global, warga negara muda, Pancasila BUILDING A GLOBAL PERPECTIVE OF YOUNG CITIZENS HAVING PANCASILA CHARACTER Abstract: This research aims to find outhow to build a global perspective of young citizens based on the values of Pancasilaas the character of the Indonesian nation. This research used a qualitative approach with a grounded theory method. The data sources consisted of literature and respondents selected using a purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques used documentation and interviews. The data were analyzed using inductive analysis. The results showed that the values of Pancasila as the character of the Indonesian nation must be used as the basis to build a global insight of young citizens. The second pillar of Pancasila became the maingate to building a global insight of young citizens. Pancasila as the basis for building a global insight of young citizens brought the implication that young citizensin the school did not only use the values of Pancasila as a slogan, but must be applied and implemented in their daily lives. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan nilai-nilai dasar yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan untuk membangun wawasan global warga negara muda. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode grounded theory. Sumber data terdiri atas sumber kepustakaan dan responden yang dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai dasar yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan untuk membangun wawasan global warga negara muda dalam konteks Indonesia antara lain adalah ketuhanan, kemanusiaan, persatuan, kerakyatan, keadilan sosial, kompetisi, menghormati orang lain, kemerdekaan, dan perdamaian. Kata Kunci: pendidikan kewarganegaraan, wawasan global, warga negara muda CIVIC EDUCATION TO BUILD YOUNG CITIZENS’ GLOBAL INSIGHT Abstract: This study was aimedtofind thebasic valueswhich needed tobe developedin civic education to build young citizens’ global insight. This study utilized the qualitative apporach with the grounded theory method. The data source consisted of literature and respondents selected using the purposive sampling method. The data were collected using the documentation, interviews, and observations. The data were analyzed using the inductive analysis. The findings showed that the basic values which needed tobe developed in civic education to build a global insight of young citizens in the context of Indonesia include: divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, social justice, competition, respect for others, freedom, and peace. Abstract

This study is aimed at describing (1) Pancasila-based character education in pesantren-based secondary schools, (2) the strategy employed by teachers in developing Pancasila-based character education, and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers in developing Pancasila-based character education. This research was descriptive in natureby employing qualitative approach. Research subjects were principals and teachers of Civic Education in several pesantren-based secondary schoolsin Yogyakarta Special Region. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analysed inductively.The results show that (1) the Pancasila-based character education is developed through the policy made by the principals and the teachers who developed the learning program, (2) the teacher’s strategy in developing Pancasila-based character educationis conducted by integrating intra and extracurricular programs, and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers in developing Pancasila-based character education are related to the fact that not all teachers are able to integrate Islamic values developed in pesantrento the values embodied in Pancasila in teaching and learning process. Keywords: character education, Pancasila, pesantren PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER KEBANGSAAN PANCASILA DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA BERBASIS PESANTREN Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila yang dikembangkan di sekolah menengah pertama berbasis pesantren; (2) strategi yang dilakukan guru dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila; dan (3) kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif.Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di beberapa sekolah menengah pertama berbasis pesantren di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila di sekolah dikembangkan melalui kebijakan yang dibuat kepala sekolah dan program pembelajaran yang dikembangkan guru; (2) strategi yang dilakukan guru dalam pengembangan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila melalui integrasi dalam program intra dan ekstrakurikuler; dan (3) kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter kebangsaan yaitu belum semua guru mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman yang dikembangkan di pesantren dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

Abstract: A Strategy to Internalize Moral and Religious Values in LearningProcesses in Higher Education. This study aims to describe a strategy tointernalize moral and religious values in learning processes in higher education.This research was a descriptive study employing the qualitative approach. Theresearch subjects were lecturers in the Department of Civic and Law Education,Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics, Yogyakarta State University. The datawere collected through interviews, observations, and documents. The datatrustworthiness was assessed by the triangulation technique. The results show thatstrategies to internalize moral and religious values in learning processes include:modeling, analyzing actual problems in society, developing contextual educativevalues, and strengthening moral values that the students have already possessed.Keywords: strategy to internalize moral and religious values, learning processes

Abstract

This study was intended to describe the instilling of moral valuesat assigned kindergartens of 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal’ in YogyakartaCity. The description was expected to picture the method that influencedmoral education to be chosen for the appreciative instilling of earlychildhood. The subjects of the study consisted of teachers at fiveAisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) Muhammadiyah kindergartenscovering: TK ABA Gedongkiwo, TK ABA Karangkajen, TK ABAKarangkunthi, TK ABA Pandeyan II, and TK ABA Karanganyar. Datawere gathered by observation, interview, and documentation.Authenticity probing techniques were utilized as triangulation. Theresults indicated that methods of moral value education were: storytelling, play, field trip, singing, out bond, inuring, figure of speech,poem, and discussion. One method which was usually being utilized wasrelating and inuring. Instilling methods indicated that moral teachingapparently led to students’ behavioural change, from one inauspiciousto turning good. Faced constraints in performing moral point instillingcovered: its reducing of gnostic deep relates and its reducing media tobe utilized for deep relates, and inconsistencies which often happenedbetween what the teacher did at school and what other elders did athome of in the surrounding environments

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pembinaan karakter pada siswa sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian riset dan pengembangan dengan desain tiga tahap. Pada tahap pertama (2010) survey dilakukan terhadap 20 sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi, interview, dan focus group discussion, serta dokumentasi. Teknik pengecekan silang dilakukan untuk memvalidasi data. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) model khusus tidak ditemukan pada pembinaan karakter berbasis pendidikan agama di sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Pembinaan karaker dilakukan di sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama masih secara umum 2) model pendidikan  karakter  harus  dikiembangkan  di  sekolah  berdasarkan  kepada  pendidikan  agama untuk membuat pendidikan agama menjadi mata pelajaran utama yang digunakan untuk membina karakter siswa. Pendidikan agama harus mengajarkan agama, sikap, dan perilaku. Aspek penting lainnya yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam kerangka pembinaan karakter yang efektif di sekolah adalah visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah, dan kebersamaan. Ada program yang jelas dan rinci, meliputi semua subjek dan semua guru. Ada dukungan fasilitas dan tim khusus untuk pelaksanaan program pembinaan karakter siswa.
