Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the Quizizz Application as an evaluation medium for online learning in Citizenship Education courses. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis methods, and data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, and surveys. The subjects of this research are class A and class B students of the law faculty class of 2021. To collect data, researchers used questionnaires and observation sheets. They use descriptive analysis to analyze it. The results of the study show that the Quizizz application as an evaluation medium is effectively used for online learning in citizenship education courses, which can be seen from the assessments carried out through live quizzes. And also, evaluation of learning using Quizizz is considered to be able to facilitate educators in conducting detailed and objective assessments so that it is more practical and fast.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Jigsaw learning model in the form of a sub-chapter of the material Implementation of Pancasila from Time to Time Phase D in the Independent Curriculum. This research uses the method of literature study or literature review using content analysis to better understand and interpret a study. The results showed a model that is very suitable for use in learning outcomes in the form of subchapters, namely the material Implementation of Pancasila From Time to Time Phase D. The jigsaw model makes students work hand in hand in mastering the material and encourages student activity in order to achieve maximum results. Each member or individual is taught to take responsibility for the submaterial they obtain. Students have independent responsibilities and teach students to communicate well, therefore this model emphasizes the development of civic knowledge citizenship aspects. Then the benefit of this model is to prevent competition and increase collaboration as contained in the independent curriculum.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze: (1) the significant effect of the socio-drama method with texts are written by teacher on the students' learning outcome; (2) with texts are written by students on the students' learning outcome; (3) with texts are written by teacher on the students' responsibility attitudes; (4) with texts are written by students on the students' responsibility attitudes; (5) the effectiveness of socio-drama method with texts are written by students and socio-drama method with texts are written by teacher for learning outcomes and attitude of responsibility. This type is a quasi- experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population was the 10th Grade Students SMA Negeri 8 Kota Kediri 2016/2017 school year. The study findings are as follows: (1) the socio-drama method with texts are written by teacher does not have significant influence on the students' learning outcome; (2) the socio-drama method with texts are written by students has significant influence on the students' learning outcome; (3) the socio-drama method with texts are written by teacher does not have significant influence on the students' responsibility attitudes; (4) The socio-drama method with texts written by students has significant influence on the students' responsibility attitudes; (5) Socio-drama method with texts are written by students more effective than socio-drama method with texts are written by teacher on the students' learning outcome and responsibility attitudes.

Abstract

Tolerance is one of the essential characters to be instilled in a plural society. This study aims to determine the strategy for integrating the value of tolerance into civics learning in inclusive education schools. This research is qualitative descriptive research with interview data collection techniques, observation, and document analysis. The strategy for integrating the value of tolerance in civics learning in inclusive education-provided schools is carried out through the stages of planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. They were designing learning plans for regular and inclusive students and improving teaching competencies in inclusive classes. Implementation of learning is done by providing advice and motivation during learning, taking a dynamic approach with students, forming an attitude of empathy, appreciating the tolerant attitude shown by students, and applying a heterogeneous group learning model. The assessment is carried out by distinguishing the assessment content between students who do not have special needs and students with special needs that are adjusted to their obstacles and abilities.

Abstract

Personal social responsibility emphasises the importance of positively benefiting society, including the environment. Responsibility is one of the values influencing ecological citizenship so that individuals can prioritise environmental issues and realise the importance of sustainable living. This research aims to develop an instrument for personal social responsibility in ecological citizenship as a measurement scale. The instrument's contents are validated by experts (expert judgment), and the test is then performed using the Aiken-V formula. The research results show that: 1) The dimensions of personal social responsibility in ecological citizenship are determined by  indicators, namely a) Have an interest in considering environmental issues and resolving environmental issues; b) Have an interest in sustainable behavior in protecting and preserving the environment; c) Have awareness in considering and resolving environmental issues; d) Have awareness of sustainable behavior in protecting and preserving the environment; e) Actively participate in considering environmental issues and resolving environmental issues; f) Actively participate in sustainable behavior in protecting and preserving the environment; g) Take collective action in considering environmental issues and resolving environmental issues; h) Take sustainable collective action in protecting and preserving the environment; 2) The results of content validation using the Aiken V coefficient show that the 60 items have a very high level of validity, because they meet the criterion index of 0.80 < V ≤ 1.00. Further research should be able to examine public policy and develop environmental education and awareness.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui problematika yang dialami guru dan upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan dalam penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini ditetapkan melalui teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problematika guru dalam penerapan pendekatan saintifik, antara lain: (1) keterbatasan kompetensi guru; (2) ketimpangan sarana dan prasarana; (3) keterbatasan waktu dan biaya; (4) minimnya kreativitas dan inovasi; (5) kurangnya antusiasme, motivasi, dan rasa ingin tahu peserta didik; (6) rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis, menyelesaikan masalah, dan mengambil keputusan; (7) kurangnya kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi; (8) rendahnya minat baca; (9) kurangnya literasi informasi; (10) rendahnya literasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK); (11) keterbatasan pelatihan dan sosialisasi mengenai perencanaan, proses, maupun evaluasi pembelajaran. Solusi yang dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi hambatan dalam penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran, antara lain: (1) mengikuti seminar, pelatihan, dan kegiatan MGMP; (2) menjalin kerjasama dengan kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, dan rekan sejawat; serta (3) membangun hubungan kemitraan antara guru dengan wali murid. --------------------------------------------------------------------This study aimed to reveal the problems experienced by teachers and the efforts to overcome obstacles in implementing the scientific approach toward civics and citizenship education. This study used qualitative descriptive method. Data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data in this study determined through triangulation techniques. The results of the study showed that the teachers' problems in applying the scientific approach included: (1) the limitations of the teachers' competency; (2) inequality of facilities and infrastructure; (3) time and cost limitations; (4) lack of creativity and innovation, (5) lack of enthusiasm, motivation and curiosity of the students; (6) lack of critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; (7) lack of communication and collaboration skills; (8) low interest in reading; (9) lack of information literacy; (10) low information and communication technology literacy (ICT); (11) limited training and socialization regarding learning planning, process and evaluation. The solutions made by the teacher to overcome the obstacles in applying the scientific approach on learning included: (1) attending seminars, training programs, and MGMP activities; (2) collaborating with the principal, the vice-principal, and colleagues, (3) and fostering collaboration between teachers and parents.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to (1) develop a hybrid flipbook-based media in e-learning Pancasila Education courses as a step to reduce the use of internet quotas, (2) make Pancasila Education lectures varied and fun, and (3) know the validity of media, matrials, and design. The methods used use a quantitative epproach with this type of research development of the ADDIE model. The research subject of student in semester 1 of Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Data Collection techniques use observationsm interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use quantitative descriptive. The results of flipbook-based media research in e-learning Pancasila Education courses at Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta to be used to obtain 87% media validity, 86% material validity, and 88% design validity.  Hybrid media-based flipbook Pancasila Education courses become a variety of fun lectures in the covid-19 pancemic and can reduce the use of the internet because it is used offline. In addition, the use of flipbook-based hybrid media can increase student learning achievement by up to 11%.

Abstract

The research was an explorative research deploying interview and questionnaire as collecting data methods. Collected data was analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The research found that (1) although respondents have different conceptions of good citizens, they have shared view on main features of good citizen, namely caring others, responsibility, independence, democratic, critical, and simple life; (2) almost all of them have chosen lecturing as instructional method to develop good citizen; (3) they have found both internal and external obstacles in dealing with their efforts, such as teachers themselves and students and the lack of infrastructures of schools; and (4) many efforts were deployed, one of them was of seduction their colleagues to work professionally. They believed that it was not thought but caught by which a good citizen could be developed. They were ready to be examples.

Abstract

This research delves into the topic of national defense among college students and aims to uncover new and effective ways to integrate Civic Education to enhance students' national defense capabilities in the digital age. The study employs a mixed-method approach with a concurrent triangulation design. Through interviews with Civic educators, it became apparent that students lacked engagement with and enthusiasm for the subject matter. Quantitative data analysis revealed that while students exhibited a strong awareness of and patriotism for their country, they faced challenges in illustrating how their skills and competencies could be utilized to advance the nation. To address these issues, suggestions for innovative learning techniques included integrating a service-learning approach and incorporating online learning methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi penguatan nasionalisme yang dilakukan oleh guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn), faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam penguatan nilai nasionalisme generasi muda di daerah perbatasan Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah para guru PPKn yang mengikuti program sarjana mendidik di daerah terdepan, terluar, dan tertinggal di wilayah Indonesia. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis induktif. Langkah-langkah analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi: reduksi data, kategorisasi, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi penguatan nasionalisme yang dilakukan oleh guru PPKn yakni melalui pendekatan budaya dan psikologis dengan pembiasaan dan keteladanan dalam pembelajaran. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung antara lain kemauan peserta didik yang kuat, sinergi sekolah dan pemerintah, dan kehadiran Tentara Nasional Indonesia. Sementara faktor penghambat antara lain: keterbatasan akses informasi sumber belajar mengenai nasionalisme, letak geografis, dan adat istiadat.The strategy to Strengthen Indonesian Border Nationalism. This study aims to describe the strategy of strengthening nationalism carried out by Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers, supporting factors and inhibiting factors in strengthening the value of young generation's nationalism in Indonesia's border regions. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Research subjects were PPKn teachers who took part in educating undergraduate programs in the foremost, outermost, and disadvantaged regions in the Indonesian region. Data collection uses in-depth interview techniques and documentation. Data were analyzed by inductive analysis techniques. The steps of data analysis include: data reduction, categorization, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the strategy of strengthening nationalism carried out by PPKn teachers was through cultural and psychological approaches with habituation and exemplary learning. Supporting factors include a strong student will, school and government synergy, and the presence of the Indonesian National Army. While the inhibiting factors include: limited access to information about learning resources about nationalism, geographical location, and local wisdom.
