Abstract

The cognitive-behavioral framework in addressing bullying emphasizes assisting both victims and perpetrators in recognizing and altering negative thought patterns and harmful behaviors, utilizing approaches that foster emotional and social change. This study seeks to examine approaches to managing bullying based on the cognitive-behavioral framework in MA. The research employs a qualitative methodology, using a literature review approach. The findings show that bullying involves intentional harm directed at others through power abuse, manifesting in forms like physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. Key roles identified in these dynamics include the perpetrator (bullies), the victim, the bully-victim (those who play dual roles), and neutral parties. Contributing factors to bullying range from internal elements, such as low self-esteem and difficulty interpreting situations, to external influences, including unsupportive social environments. The scope of bullying encompasses aggressive actions that must be recognized and managed to safeguard victims. The cognitive-behavioral framework proves effective in addressing bullying by focusing on the interplay of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Intervention strategies include establishing strong therapeutic relationships, recognizing dysfunctional thought patterns, and assigning between-session tasks. Techniques like self-awareness and self-regulation empower students to better identify their emotions and manage responses to bullying. Enhancing self-awareness and control helps reduce stress and fosters a more positive environment for student well-being. This research offers valuable insights for dealing with bullying in religious-based educational settings, especially through the use of structured and systematic cognitive-behavioral interventions.

Abstract

Not all of the learning outcomes test items that have been developed by high school teachers have been analyzed, so they cannot be said to be quality learning outcomes tests. The problem is that most high school teachers do not understand how to analyze learning outcomes test items. The aim of this training is to increase knowledge for high school teachers about analyzing quality questions. The research subjects were 25 high school teachers, consisting of subject teacher representatives. The research method is quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques use experiments, observation, and pre- and post-test scores. The data analysis used in this research is a paired t-test (paired sample t-test). Process this research data using SPSS. The results of the research are in accordance with the achievement target, namely increasing the teacher's ability to analyze question items. This is proven by a significant increase in posttest scores compared to the pretest, with results in sig. (2 tailed) = 0.001 < 0.05. As proof that teachers have participated in training, they are given certificates. The implication of this service activity is to increase the competence of high school teachers in analyzing learning outcomes test items.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in cultural and ethnic diversity. Each culture serves as a unique identity for different ethnic groups, shaping the behavior, traditions, and way of life of its people. This multicultural diversity presents challenges in counseling practice, especially for counselors who must understand and respond to the needs of clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Multicultural counseling emerges as an approach that is sensitive to cultural differences, emphasizing the importance of understanding diverse values, norms, and cultural perspectives to ensure effective counseling processes. This article describes the essence of multicultural counseling, the concept of culture, and culture as a system of societal values and practices. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach, this research provides an in-depth analysis of the counselor’s role in addressing cultural diversity and the implications of cultural values in guidance and counseling practice. The findings indicate that a deep understanding of the client's culture and the application of cultural relativism principles are crucial to avoid cultural bias and provide fair and empathetic services.
