Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of the role of Sunan Kalijaga Mosque in developing the religiosity of the community in Kertosuko Village, Krucil District, Probolinggo Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving mosque administrators, religious leaders, mosque youth, and congregants as informants. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Sunan Kalijaga Mosque plays a significant role in enhancing community religiosity through three main aspects: worship, religious education, and socio-religious activities. The optimization of the mosque’s role is supported by strong backing from religious and community leaders, deeply rooted religious traditions, and congregants’ awareness of the mosque’s importance as a center for religious development. However, limitations in human resources, insufficient funding, and the lack of long-term program planning hinder the sustainable development of the mosque’s role. This study concludes that strengthening mosque management and strategic planning is essential to enable mosques to function more optimally in fostering the religiosity of rural communities.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning model based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and collaborative approaches in shaping students’ noble character at SD Negeri Besuk Kidul, Besuk District. The study is grounded in the research gap that PAI learning in elementary schools is often still dominated by conventional, teacher-centered methods that emphasize cognitive achievement while providing limited space for the internalization of moral values through authentic learning experiences. This research aims to analyze how PjBL and collaborative learning are designed and implemented in PAI instruction and to explore their contribution to students’ character development. A qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design was employed. The research subjects included the school principal, a PAI teacher, and elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive data analysis model. The findings reveal that the integration of project-based and collaborative learning in PAI instruction enhances students’ noble character, particularly in terms of honesty, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, respect, and social awareness. Students actively engage in learning activities, apply Islamic values in real-life contexts, and demonstrate positive behavioral changes both in and outside the classroom. These results indicate that Project-Based Learning and collaborative approaches constitute an effective and meaningful strategy for strengthening character education in PAI at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The word Iqra 'is usually translated as "read.” This understanding follows the word Qara'a, which first meant "gathering.” The Qur'an o.” en uses the word Qara'a in various verses. When he received this sentence the, Prop, het Muhammad trembled and said he could not read. However, this verse’s revelation shows how the highest glorification and assessment of the ability to read and write various sciences is. These verses show that Allah SWT teaches people diverse knowledge, He opens multiple secrets, and He gives different keys to open the treasury of Allah's command, namely with a qalam or pen. Besides tongue reading, Allah also ordained that knowledge can be recorded. The Prophet Muhammad was a person who was not good at reading and writing, but he understood the importance of literacy. Literacy here is the ability to read and write. Including the ability to speak, calculate and solve problems at hand.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the moral educational values depicted in the One Piece anime, specifically within the Dressrosa Arc, through the lens of Immanuel Kant’s philosophical framework as articulated in his work The Moral Law. The rationale for this research stems from the growing importance of employing popular media as an educational medium to cultivate moral awareness among younger generations, particularly within the context of Islamic religious education. A qualitative approach was adopted, utilising the library research method. Data were gathered through the examination of episodes from the Dressrosa Arc accessed via digital platforms such as Telegram and Bstation, and were subsequently analysed in conjunction with relevant literature, including Kant’s philosophical texts, scholarly journals, and academic e-books. The data were analysed using a descriptive narrative method encompassing data reduction, categorisation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Dressrosa Arc conveys key moral values such as honesty, moral courage, justice, and respect for human dignity. These values are consistent with Kantian principles that emphasise duty-based ethics and adherence to universal moral laws. Within the framework of Islamic education, such values possess the potential to contribute significantly to the development of morally upright and socially responsible individuals

Abstract

The integration of interactive digital learning media is increasingly essential to support meaningful learning at the elementary education level. This study aims to examine the implementation of H5P-based interactive digital learning media in improving students’ comprehension of learning materials in Grade II at MI Nurud Dzolam Alassumur Kraksaan. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to provide an in-depth understanding of the learning process, teacher practices, and students’ comprehension experiences within a natural classroom setting. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, involving the school principal, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, the Islamic Education (PAI) teacher, and Grade II students. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis, and the findings were interpreted using Dual Coding theory to explain how the integration of visual, verbal, and interactive elements through H5P supports students’ cognitive processing and learning comprehension. The findings indicate that the implementation of H5P-based interactive learning media was carried out in a structured and engaging manner. H5P features such as interactive videos, quizzes, and drag-and-drop activities enabled students to actively interact with learning content, maintain focus, and understand learning materials more easily. Although challenges related to content preparation, technological limitations, and classroom management were identified, these did not reduce the overall effectiveness of H5P implementation. This study concludes that H5P-based interactive digital learning media effectively enhance students’ comprehension of learning materials and support meaningful learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level, particularly for lower-grade students.

Abstract

The digital transformation driven by the Industrial Revolution 5.0 has profoundly influenced educational practices, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This shift demands that Islamic education not only integrate digital technologies in an adaptive manner but also ensure that their application remains consistent with Islamic humanistic and spiritual principles. This article seeks to theoretically explore the digitalization of IRE learning in the context of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 by examining various forms of digital-based instructional innovation as well as the ethical and value-based challenges associated with their implementation. The study adopts a qualitative descriptive design through library research, analyzing 11 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 that address the digital transformation of Islamic education. Content analysis is employed to extract key concepts, empirical findings, and relevant theoretical perspectives related to digital IRE learning. The results demonstrate that the use of digital technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital Qur’an applications, and artificial intelligence based learning tools has a positive impact on student engagement, learning flexibility, and access to diverse Islamic knowledge resources. Nevertheless, the digitalization of IRE learning also encounters several challenges, including insufficient digital literacy among educators, the risk of moral erosion within digital environments, and disparities in educational infrastructure. Consequently, the development of digital-based IRE learning should be firmly anchored in the principles of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, ensuring that technological advancement serves not only functional efficiency but also moral formation, spiritual strengthening, and the promotion of public welfare. These findings provide a conceptual framework for the digitalization of Islamic Religious Education that is human-centered and grounded in Islamic values.
