Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving vocational students’ conceptual understanding and practical skills in the subject of electrical installation. The research was motivated by students’ limited ability to connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications, which has resulted in suboptimal learning outcomes. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design was employed, involving two groups: an experimental class that received instruction using the PjBL model and a control class that was taught through conventional methods. Research instruments included a conceptual understanding test, a practical skills observation sheet, and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the t-test to examine differences between the two groups. The findings reveal that the implementation of PjBL has a significant positive effect on enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and practical skills compared to conventional learning. Therefore, the PjBL model is proven to be effective in strengthening both theoretical mastery and technical competencies among vocational students, and it is highly relevant for improving the quality of learning in electrical engineering education.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to undertake a critical examination of the implementation of the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model in junior high school educational programs. This examination will be facilitated through a systematic review of 51 studies published between 2015 and 2024. Utilizing a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, this research explores the application contexts, theoretical frameworks, scholarly debates, as well as the practical implications and limitations of using the CIPP model across various educational sectors. The present study utilizes a primary instrument in the form of a data categorization checklist based on the four components of the CIPP model. The data were collected through systematic access to digital journal databases, such as Scopus, with articles filtered based on specific keywords according to inclusion criteria. The selection of articles was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA flow, encompassing the phases of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and final inclusion. Thematic analysis was employed to code and interpret the content of the selected studies, with a focus on the type of program, evaluation approach, CIPP dimensions analyzed, and key findings. The findings indicate that the CIPP model has been extensively adopted due to its comprehensive and adaptable structure, which effectively assesses the planning, execution, and outcomes of educational programs. The integration of authentic assessment and competency-based learning is a common practice, as it aligns with specific contextual needs. However, the review also identifies key limitations, including the predominance of quantitative methods, uneven geographic distribution of studies, and limited exploration of technology integration.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the Quantum Learning model integrated with STEM Education on students' mathematical reasoning and conceptual understanding, with a focus on gender differences. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with Randomized Block Design involving 50 students of MTs SA Nurul Qona'ah in the academic year 2023/2024, divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instruction through Quantum Learning integrated with STEM, while the control group followed conventional teaching methods. Data were collected using validated essay-type tests measuring higher-order thinking skills. The results showed that students taught with the integrated model achieved significantly higher scores in both mathematical reasoning and conceptual understanding compared to those taught conventionally. Furthermore, male students outperformed female students in mathematical reasoning, while no significant gender difference was found in conceptual understanding. The model also proved effective for both male and female students individually, with male students generally showing greater gains in reasoning and female students demonstrating better conceptual understanding in conventional settings. These findings suggest that integrating Quantum Learning with STEM creates a meaningful and equitable learning environment that supports higher-order thinking and addresses gender-specific learning needs. The implications of this research highlight the importance of adaptive, student-centered instruction supported by schools, and the need for continued teacher innovation in implementing interdisciplinary, project-based mathematics education.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to systematically examine the use of Bloom's Taxonomy in formative and summative evaluations as an important instrument for measuring student learning outcomes. The revised Bloom's Taxonomy offers a systematic cognitive framework from levels C1 (remembering) to C6 (creating), which can be used as a basis for developing valid and meaningful evaluations. Method: This study was conducted using a systematic literature review method on 30 articles published between 2020 and 2025. The analysis results indicate that the application of Bloom's Taxonomy in formative evaluations is still dominated by lower cognitive levels (C1-C2), despite efforts to strengthen the approach to higher-order thinking. Meanwhile, Bloom-based summative evaluations have demonstrated increased validity and alignment with learning outcomes, particularly through the use of rubrics and authentic assessments.  Results:  This study also identified various challenges, such as low teacher competency in developing taxonomy-based instruments and the suboptimal integration of technology, including artificial intelligence, to support adaptive evaluation. Nevertheless, several practical strategies were identified, such as teacher training, the use of competency-based question banks, and the development of digital-based project evaluations.  Novelty: The integration of Bloom's Taxonomy into learning evaluation has significant potential to improve assessment quality, mainly if supported by systemic policies, ongoing training, and technological innovation. This research provides a conceptual contribution to the development of an evaluation system that is fair, objective, and relevant to the needs of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the level of psychological well-being (flourishing) of teachers in primary schools. For this purpose, the research method was a psychological assessment using the PERMA model, which includes Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach and involved 33 teachers who had a minimum of two years of teaching experience. The data were collected through the PERMA Profiler instrument which has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia. The data were analysed using SPSS software in a descriptive manner. he results of this study revealed that the majority of teachers were in the flourished category, with high percentages in the dimensions of Positive Emotions (96.7%), Relationships (96.7%), Engagement (84.84%), Meaning (84.84%), and Achievement (84.84%). However, around 24.24% of teachers belong to the not flourished group, especially in the dimensions of Engagement and Meaning. These findings suggest that although teachers' psychological well-being is generally satisfactory, there are some areas that need improvement. The psychological assessment approach using the PERMA model provides a complete insight into the mental state of teachers and can be used as a basis for making education policies more humane and sustainable.
