Abstract

This study explores the meaningfulness of group counseling based on Transactional Analysis (TA) integrated with Padungku cultural values in enhancing students' social interaction skills. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Hopkins model over two cycles. Participants were 10 tenth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a social interaction skills instrument, process observations, and student evaluations of counseling services. Results indicated significant improvement, with students progressively shifting from "Low" to "Very High" categories of social interaction. Observations supported the quantitative data, showing increased participation, communication, and self-control, while student evaluations revealed positive perceptions of the intervention's meaningfulness. The discussion links these changes to the ego state mechanism in TA and reinforcement of local cultural values. The study concludes that this integrative approach is meaningful in developing culturally responsive school counseling practices.

Abstract

Effective classroom management is fundamental to fostering student learning discipline, yet empirical evidence from rural, resource-constrained elementary schools remains limited. This study examined how teachers' classroom management strategies contribute to creating a conducive learning environment and improving student discipline in such an underrepresented context.  A qualitative descriptive design was employed at SDN Inpres Sumondung, Banggai Islands Regency, Central Sulawesi. One Grade III classroom teacher and four students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via structured classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles et al.'s (2014) interactive model,  comprising data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing ,  with triangulation to ensure trustworthiness.  Five classroom management strategies were consistently observed: collaborative rule-setting, flexible physical environment arrangement, structured instructional time management, persuasive teacher–student interaction, and systematic positive reinforcement. Student learning discipline was predominantly demonstrated through punctual attendance and assignment completion, while rule compliance during learning remained partial.  These strategies collectively fostered a participatory and relational classroom climate that supported student discipline even under severe infrastructural constraints. Notably, teacher-improvised micro-zone arrangements produced unexpected reductions in off-task behavior, suggesting that spatial agency can partially compensate for resource deficits.  Adaptive, relational, and participatory classroom management practices can effectively cultivate learning discipline in rural elementary schools, advancing the proposition that teacher agency, not resource adequacy, constitutes the primary determinant of management effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital untuk mengurangi dampak negatif teknoligi digital pada kualitas pembelajaran siswa khusunya di kota Palu Sulawesi Tengah. Adapun permasalah pokok penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana tingkat pemahaman literasi digital siswa SMAN di Kota Palu sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan didgital. 2) Bagaimana dampak negatif teknologi digital pada pembelajaran siswa SMA di kota Palu sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan literasi digital. 3) Apakah pelatihan literasi digital dapat meningkatkan pemahaman literasi digital pada siswa SMAN 1 Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitaf kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa SMA yang terlibat dalam sebuah program pelatihan literasi digital selama dua hari yaitu SMAN 1 Palu, SMAN 4 Palu dan SMAN 5 yang berjumlah 58 orang di pilih secara random sebagai perwakilan dari sekolah SMA yang ada di kota yang dipilih secara purporsif berdasarkan letak geografis. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan angket literasi digital dan angket dampak negatif teknologi digital pada kualitas pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t Paired Samples Test dan Regresi Linier Sederhana dengan bantuan statistik SPS versi 26. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa 1) Tidak ada perbedaan literasi digital siswa sebelum dan sesuadah diberikan pelatihan digital. 2) Berdasarkan Tabel Model Summary ditemukan bahwa ada pengaruh pelatihan literasi digital terhadap dampak negatif teknologi digital pada siswa SMA di kota Palu dengan nilai R sebesar 0, 025 < 0,05. 3). Pelatihan literasi digital tidak meningkatkan pemahaman literasi digital pada siswa SMA di kota Palu.

Abstract

Abstract. Amidst growing cultural diversity in Indonesian schools, this study investigates interpersonal conflict among students in multicultural secondary schools and explores how the local value Songu Lara Mombangu informs school-based conflict mediation. Using a qualitative multiple-case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in three culturally diverse schools in Central Sulawesi. Findings reveal that conflict often arises not from ethnic identity, but from miscommunication, divergent social norms, and peer dynamics. Although students’ awareness of Songu Lara Mombangu is limited, its values are reflected in daily practices of cooperation and relational repair. The study underscores the importance of culturally responsive counseling grounded in local wisdom. It contributes to expanding theories of social identity and intersectionality by offering a contextualized lens for conflict resolution. These insights support the development of inclusive educational policies and training programs that align with students’ cultural realities.
