Abstract

Portfolio assessment is an approach that is not new anymore, portfolios are exposed by educational experts to be implemented in educational institutions. In addition to the new assessment approach, the old portfolio assessment approach can be used. The application of portfolio assessment has not been optimally applied to learning activities in Higher Education. Research objectives were to analyze the application of portfolios in Leadership Management courses in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program Universitas PGRI Palembang. We used descriptive method. The results of data analysis carried out in the study concluded that the application of the portfolio was very good in terms of student activity in learning, assignments and final test results in the Very Active or Very Good categories. Learning activities were 51.61% very active, 38.71% very good assignments and the final test was 54.84% very good. Based on the results of this study, the application of portfolio assessment is expected to be an alternative strategy for educators in the learning process to improve learning outcomes, motivate learning and as an effort to improve the quality of student learning.

Abstract

The problem in learning is the inaccuracy of educators or lecturers in using learning media, in fact some lecturers do not use learning media. Whereas the learning media is everything related to tools and facilities with the aim of conveying information or messages in a lesson and streamlining communication between educators and students. Video conferencing is a medium that can display moving images with the help of signals. The purpose of this study was to look into how video conferencing was used to assess student achievement. This research was conducted on students of the accounting training study program at the University of Palembang in the management accounting course. The descriptive analysis was adopted in this study. Observation and testing are the methods used to collect data. The results showed the success of the learning process with the use of video conferencing tools. With the application of video conferencing media, it encourages students to be more enthusiastic about learning and observe carefully the material being taught so that it can improve student learning outcomes well.

Abstract

The main educator in education is the teacher. Teachers as teachers in educational units or schools. Human Resources are individuals who work as drivers of an organization, both institutions, and companies, and function as assets that must be trained and their abilities developed. Human Resources is one of the resources contained in the organization, including all people who carry out activities. This study is to identify the performance of the quality of educators with the competence and motivation of teachers in the city of Palembang. The method used is descriptive, with a research sample of 150 elementary school teachers in the city of Palembang. The data collection used is observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results obtained are the performance of educators at various levels, namely medium, high, and very high. Teachers have good competence and motivation in their performance as educators. From this research, it can be concluded that teacher performance can be seen from their competence and motivation in the High category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find differences of learning outcomes using the Talking Stick Learning Method with Talking Chips. The information selection procedure uses documentation, perceptions, and questions, while the information testing strategy uses the F-test (One Way Anova). The perception result states that the normal value of the Talking Stick class students' learning exercise is 71.05% with the high size, while the average value of the Talking Chips class students' practice is 79.49% with the high model. Thus the Talking Stick class has a high active value compared to the Talking Chips class. Based on the results of observations of 89.47% with a good predicate, while the value of student learning outcomes after applying the Talking Chips learning technique was 69.2% with a good predicate. Based on the F (One Way Anova) test, Fount = 6.255 > F-table = 3.968, so it was found that there were differences in learning outcomes using the Talking Stick Learning Method with Talking Chips at SMA Negeri 7 Palembang.

Abstract

This study determined the effect of job satisfaction and motivation on the organizational commitment of school principals in Palembang City. The research sample is 90 respondents. The technique of data collection in this research is to use a questionnaire and documentation technique. The results showed that the organizational commitment of the director is an important factor because; 1) the principal is the spearhead for the success of basic education management, without a strong organizational commitment, the principal will not properly perform his duties according to his responsibilities so the primary school goals will be difficult to achieve; 2) the organizational commitment of the director is a high level of trust in the organization, individuals who trust the organization will certainly be loyal and actively participate in their organization; 3) the organizational commitment of the current director is one last thing that cannot be improved because as an individual human being, the director will always grow and change according to the demands of the stakeholders. Therefore, primary school principals can improve themselves by increasing their organizational commitment to achieve organizational expectations and goals. In addition to this, this commitment affects job satisfaction and motivation for both yourself and the environment around you, of course, with greater satisfaction, job motivation can be seen from the organizational commitment of the director, which will have a good or positive impact on the world, of education. Therefore, based on the results of the study, there was a significant influence between job satisfaction and motivation in the organizational commitment of the principal of public primary schools in the city of Palembang.

Abstract

The student already has a strong grasp of business literacy, and he naturally has access to information on how businesses are organized. When participating in practice sessions or seminars on entrepreneurship that are organized by various organizations, women with strong leadership motivation comes from their level of activity. The current study employs a quantitative approach with the goal of determining the most significant impact of the Entrepreneurial Literacy and Accounting Science on the motivation of entrepreneurial students. A straightforward, effective method that is used is the sampling and responding technique. using a sample size of approximately 100 respondents with a 5% error rate. This study employed the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method. The results of the study indicate that Entrepreneurship Literacy and Accounting Science are relevant to 2020 Student Motivation for Entrepreneurs in both partial (t) and simultaneous (F) forms.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers at SMP Kota Palembang view student management in terms of admitting new students, documenting student data, grouping students, and coaching students. Obtained 150 samples from a population of 300 teachers or 50%. The research tool is a questionnaire using a likert scale which has been proven valid and reliable. The average score (mean) is used for data analysis. Based on research findings, state junior high school students are well managed, the results of the overall research implementation of student management in Palembang City Public Middle School. This is marked by an overall average score of 76% in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the tendency of online reference choices used by Postgraduate students of FKIP UNIB in writing scientific papers. The research method used is the descriptive method. The reachable sample in this study totaled 221 people consisting of 38 third-graduate students and 183 second-graduate students. The collection was carried out using an online questionnaire with Google Forms media and interviews. The results of the study show that in general online journals occupy a very dominant position as references in writing scientific papers. The tendency of its use as a reference is more as a theoretical reference than as a fact, supporting or strengthening research results written in scientific papers. From a language standpoint, journals in Indonesian (L1) tend to be the preferred reference source in writing various types of scientific papers. The driving factors for this are limitations in mastering foreign languages and the desire to quickly complete studies.

Abstract

Project Based Learning (PjBL) is a learning model that creates a challenge by involving activeness, collaboration, between students in a project. This study aims to determine the effect of the PjBL Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Creative Projects and Entrepreneurship Students of SMK Negeri 1 Palembang. The data collection technique uses observation of student activity and tests of learning outcomes for creative and entrepreneurial projects using the experimental method of the True Experimental Design type with the Posttest-Only Control Design form. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded from testing the research using the Independent Sample T Test assisted by SPSS version 26 software with a significant level of 0.05, namely hypothesis 0.002, less than 0.05 (0.002 <0.05), it can be concluded that Ho rejected and Ha accepted, there is an influence of the PjBL Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Creative Projects and Entrepreneurship Students of SMK Negeri 1 Palembang.

Abstract

This study raises the question of what resources are best suited to help students develop their civic literacy and acquire optimal knowledge about their nationality through citizenship education. The research's goal is to gather the information required for citizenship education so that students can learn as much as possible about their nationality.  This study used an exploratory survey strategy in conjunction with a quantitative research method. The sample size was 60 individuals, comprising 10 lecturers and 50 students. The inclusion criteria for students are those who have completed the Citizenship Education course so that students can provide responses based on their experience of attending lectures in nine different study programs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, PGRI University Palembang. Based on research findings, 92% of teachers and students believe that the analysis of national e-book creation demands meets the Very Good standard. The findings of this research support the assumption that to increase student citizenship literacy, lecturers and students at PGRI Palembang University really need Nationality E-Books.
