Abstract

This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of the principal's spiritual leadership style and organizational climate on the psychological well-being of elementary school teachers in Penajam Paser Utara Regency in the context of transformation towards the Capital City of the Archipelago. The approach used is quantitative with an associative causal type Explanatory Survey design. The study population was 1,128 teachers, with a sample of 296 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a 4-point Likert Scale, then analyzed by multiple linear regression through SPSS, including classical assumption tests, partial tests, simultaneous tests, and coefficients of determination. The results showed that spiritual leadership style had a positive and significant effect on teachers' psychological well-being (β = 0.786; p 0.05), as did organizational climate (β = 0.681; p 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect with an F value of 156.761 (p 0.05). An R-square value of 0.515 indicates that 51.5% of the variation in teacher psychological well-being can be explained by these two variables. This finding underscores the importance of value-oriented leadership and a conducive work climate in improving teacher psychological well-being amidst the dynamics of regional change.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the digital economy has increased pressure on higher vocational institutions to ensure that e-commerce curricula remain aligned with evolving industry demands. However, limited empirical attention has been given to how students perceive the optimization of the e-commerce curriculum system within the framework of industry-education integration. This study, therefore, aimed to examine students' perceptions of e-commerce curriculum optimization in a Chinese higher vocational education setting. A quantitative cross-sectional survey with a descriptive-exploratory orientation was employed. Data were collected from 32 students at Guangdong Province Huali Technician College, China, using a 30-item questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. The instrument covered five dimensions: Current Curriculum Issues, School-Enterprise Collaboration, Curriculum Optimization, Teaching and Evaluation, and Safeguard Measures. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Cronbach’s alpha. The results showed an overall mean of 3.672, indicating a moderately positive orientation toward curriculum reform. Safeguard Measures obtained the highest mean (3.953), followed by Curriculum Optimization (3.859), School-Enterprise Collaboration (3.703), and Teaching and Evaluation (3.667), while Current Curriculum Issues recorded the lowest mean (3.177). The overall instrument demonstrated excellent reliability (α = 0.921), although the Current Curriculum Issues subscale showed very weak internal consistency, so interpretations related to this dimension should be treated cautiously. Overall, the findings suggest that students perceive curriculum optimization primarily as a practice-oriented, institutionally supported reform process involving stronger enterprise collaboration, structured implementation mechanisms, and workplace-linked learning. As the study is exploratory and based on a single institutional context, it offers context-specific evidence for prioritizing institutionalized and practice-based reform in vocational e-commerce curricula.

Abstract

The development of education in the era of globalization requires educational institutions to adapt through effective strategic management, particularly in improving learning quality. However, strategic management and learning are often treated as separate domains, resulting in a gap between strategic planning and classroom practices. This study aims to explain the integration of strategic management in improving learning quality through a conceptual synthesis focusing on strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation in educational institutions. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from books and relevant national and international journal articles published between 2021 and 2026 through Google Scholar. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify themes, patterns, and relationships among concepts. The findings indicate that integrating strategic management into learning is a crucial aspect that has not been widely explored. Strategy formulation serves as the basis for instructional design, implementation is reflected in innovative learning practices, and evaluation functions as a reflective mechanism for continuous improvement. Therefore, this integration is essential to systematically and sustainably improve learning quality.

Abstract

The digital transformation of financial governance in higher education institutions has encouraged universities to improve accountability, transparency, and efficiency in payroll administration systems. However, payroll management for non-civil servant employees at Universitas Negeri Surabaya is still highly dependent on manual administration and spreadsheet-based processing, resulting in administrative inefficiencies, delays in payroll processing, fragmented data management, and a high risk of human error. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the requirements for developing an Electronic Payroll Information System (SIGAJI) for non-civil servant employees at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach focusing on system requirements analysis. The research was conducted at Universitas Negeri Surabaya, particularly within units related to payroll administration and financial management for non-civil servant employees. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature review. The data sources included payroll administration documents, payroll recapitulation reports, salary slips, personnel data records, payroll workflow documents, institutional regulations, and related literature concerning payroll information systems and digital financial governance. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques through data reduction, data organization, requirement identification, and classification of functional and non-functional system requirements. The findings indicated that the existing payroll management system had not yet supported integrated and electronic-based payroll administration. Payroll activities were still conducted separately and manually, causing repetitive data entry, payroll processing delays, data inconsistencies, and difficulties in payroll monitoring and reporting. The study also identified organizational and regulatory requirements emphasizing the need for an integrated payroll information system aligned with institutional policies and digital governance principles. Functional requirements identified in this study included employee data management, payroll calculation, payroll reporting, payroll history management, and digital payslip services. Meanwhile, non-functional requirements included system security, accessibility, usability, operational efficiency, integration capability, and role-based access control. The study concluded that the development of an integrated electronic payroll information system is necessary to improve payroll administration efficiency, reduce administrative errors, strengthen transparency, and support accountable financial governance at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The findings of this study may serve as the basis for further system design and prototype development of SIGAJI.
