Abstract

Hypertension is a prevalent, non-communicable disease with elevated blood pressure. Overconsumption of salt increases blood pressure, posing a risk of stroke and heart attack. The DASH diet aims to lower blood pressure and maintain normal levels. This study aims to explore the relationship between self-efficacy, DAHS diet, and blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the Kediri City sub-district. The study used a quantitative, observational, and cross-sectional approach to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy, the DASH diet, and blood pressure in hypertensive patients. A sample of 100 respondents was surveyed using questionnaires. The results showed that over half (70.0%) had high self-efficacy and adherence to the DAHS diet, while almost half (45.0%) had normal blood pressure. The chi-square test resulted in a p value of 0.000, rejecting the hypothesis.

Abstract

TB is still a major global health concern, especially in developing nations like Indonesia, which has the third-highest rate of TB cases globally. Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection has a negative effect on the health of the patient as well as causing low serum albumin levels, poor nutritional status, and other blood abnormalities, all of which worsen the general health of those who are infected. Nutritional supplements, particularly egg white and milk containing moringa extract, have the potential to improve nutritional status and speed up TB patients' recuperation. The protein-rich egg white may raise albumin levels, while the nutrient-dense moringa boosts immunity. Furthermore, encouraging treatment adherence and halting the disease's spread require nutritional measures and family support.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Failure (CKF) with hemodialysis is a therapy used for patients with stage 5 chronic kidney failure (ESRD) to maintain kidney function. Hemodialysis is one of the therapies for patients with chronic kidney failure followed by electrolyte fluid imbalance disorders. Where the patient's blood containing toxins is diverted to the dialyzer to filter or clean through a semi-permeable membrane and then returned to the patient's body. The purpose of this study was to provide non-pharmacological therapy to reduce anxiety in patients with hemodialysis. This study is a true experiment study with a pre and post test approach with a population of 250 and a sample of 75 people was taken using random sampling techniques. Data were collected and analyzed using the Paired T Test. The results of the study showed that the results of the Paired T test for the instrumental music group obtained a sig value (2 tailed) in the pre and post test of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is one group that has a very significant difference. The conclusion of this study is that there is anxiety and stress in patients undergoing hemodialysis, especially in new patients. Anxiety can be minimized by diverting attention using music, including instrumental music.

Abstract

ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is a life-threatening cardiovascular emergency that requires rapid and appropriate intervention. One key indicator of successful management is Door-to-Balloon Time (D2BT), which reflects the interval between a patient's arrival at the emergency department and the initiation of primary percutaneous coronary intervention. The CODE STEMI program was developed to streamline the clinical pathway and accelerate reperfusion therapy. To evaluate the impact of the CODE STEMI program on achieving optimal D2BT in STEMI patients. This quantitative comparative study employed an analytical design using the Chi-Square test.

Abstract

Objective: This article aims to analyze the social and lifestyle determinants that contribute to the epidemiology of hypertension in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. This study was conducted to understand how social, behavioral, and environmental factors influence the high incidence of hypertension, and how public health policies can be optimized for prevention and control. Methods: This study used a narrative literature review method by searching publications on Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and DOAJ, as well as official reports such as Riskesdas, the NTB Health Profile, and WHO reports. Keywords included "hypertension," "social determinants," "lifestyle risk factors," "Indonesia," and "NTB." The selected literature focused on hypertension prevalence, socioeconomic risk factors, consumption patterns, physical activity, stress, and environmental determinants. The analysis was conducted using a narrative synthesis based on the Social Determinants of Health (SDH) framework and theories of non-communicable disease epidemiology. Results: This study shows that hypertension in NTB is influenced by a combination of socioeconomic factors, lifestyle, and environmental conditions. The prevalence of hypertension in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) among those aged 18 and above is increasing along with urbanization and changes in consumption patterns. Social factors such as low income, limited education, and residential environments that are less conducive to physical activity contribute to the risk of hypertension. In terms of lifestyle, excessive salt consumption, a diet high in fat and low in fruits and vegetables, smoking, lack of physical activity, and high levels of stress are the most dominant determinants. Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data shows that districts/cities such as Mataram City, West Lombok, and East Lombok have a higher prevalence of hypertension than other regions, in line with changes in urban lifestyles and the rise in obesity. Implications: These findings emphasize the need for multisectoral interventions to control hypertension, including improving nutrition education, promoting physical activity, reducing salt consumption, and increasing access to screening services. Local governments need to integrate health policies with the education, social, and spatial planning sectors to create an environment that supports a healthy lifestyle. Limitations: This study relies on secondary data from various heterogeneous sources, which cannot quantitatively describe the strength of the relationship.
