Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan 1). Gambaran kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen 2). Gambaran  kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas kontrol  3). Pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Educandy terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek Agam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pada metode ini data dikumpulkan melalui tes soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 30 soal, beberapa literatur seperti buku, jurnal, dan sumber yang mendukung terkait pembahasan ini. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan 1). Gambaran kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen diperoleh mean (rata-rata) pretest 71  2). Gambaran kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas kontrol diperoleh mean (rata-rata) 73 3). Hasil uji hipotesis nilai sig (2-tailed) (0,012 < 0,05), dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh model kooperatif Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Educandy terhadap kemampuan berpikir mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek Agam.

Abstract

This study explores the transformational leadership of madrasah principals and its impact on teacher performance in three institutions in West Sumatra: Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Model Padang, MTsN 1 Kota Pariaman, and MTsN 4 Pasaman. The research addresses challenges such as the suboptimal application of transformational leadership in achieving transformative governance and the inadequate execution of managerial and supervisory functions. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through extended engagement and consistent observation. The findings reveal that although transformational leadership practices are present, their implementation does not fully support transformative governance. Identified issues include teacher tardiness, insufficient administrative preparation, inappropriate teaching methods, weak classroom management, and the absence of evaluation and follow-up through remedial or enrichment programs. This study introduces the concept of Madrasah Head Leadership in 3 MTsN, which emphasizes a model of transformational leadership aligned with Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational philosophy. This model focuses on openness to change and access to innovation in educational management. Through role modeling, motivation, and guidance, principals are expected to improve teacher performance and contribute to the overall development of the madrasah.

Abstract

The expansion of cellular network coverage facilitates the advancement of research on network-based positioning. We are interested in the signal fingerprinting method to predict the location of a mobile device. By this method, the device must be within the fingerprint coverage to have a successful location prediction. However, any disturbance in the signal propagation would decrease the prediction accuracy. We propose an optimization model based on generalized triangulation combined with a signal fingerprint which is treated more adaptively in responding to any signal disturbance. The triangulation method determines the most likely region where the device is located. The solution provides the estimated longitude and latitude of the device. An illustration of the implementation of the model is presented. The model is assessed using the Indosat cellular network in three distinct testbeds in Indonesia, which are: South Jakarta, a metropolitan area; South Tangerang, a buffer area adjacent to the metropolitan area; and Malang, a city surrounded by rural areas. The most favorable outcome yields an average prediction error of 39.6 m, a maximum error of 197.08 m, a minimum error of 0.05 m, and a standard deviation of error of 39.22 m.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan kunci penentu masa depan generasi penerus bangsa. Mengingat pentingnya pendidikan, maka pemerintah selalu memberikan perhatian yang serius dalam mengatasi permasalahan di bidang pendidikan. Salah satu permasalahan yang saat ini sedang mendera dunia pendidikan adalah angka putus kuliah disebabkan oleh depresi dan anxiety. Kajian ini menarik untuk diteliti, karena anxiety dan depresi itu sebenarnya mempunyai kiat-kiat untuk dicegah. Namun yang menjadi pertanyaan, kenapa seseorang bisa berpikir untuk berhenti kuliah karena depresi dan anxiety sedangkan jika nantinya putus kuliah pasti akan lebih mengalami gangguan mental atau depresi atas pertanyaan-pertanyaan orang-rang terlebih lagi untuk biaya kuliah ini sudah banyak dikeluarkan oleh orang tua. Allah juga telah menerangkan dalam Q.S Al-baqarah mengenai hal ini “Allah tidak membebankan seseorang melainkan sesuai kepada krmampuan mereka”.

Abstract

Fiqh learning in Islamic schools still faces the problem of low student motivation and participation due to the dominance of lecture methods that create a monotonous learning atmosphere. This study aims to describe the application of the Verbal Football strategy in Fiqh learning and analyze its contribution to increasing student learning motivation. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques with Fiqh teachers and eighth-grade students of Madrasah Al Falah Padang. The results showed that the application of the Verbal Football strategy packaged in the form of learning tools and student worksheets was able to create an interactive learning atmosphere through an educational game format resembling a soccer match, so that students were more active in discussions, involved in group work, motivated to compete healthily, and showed improvements in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Thus, the Verbal Football strategy can be an alternative innovation in Fiqh learning that is effective in increasing student learning motivation in Islamic schools and is relevant to be applied in the broader context of religious education.

Abstract

Student graduation is an important aspect of accreditation at a university. One of the problems of concern is that the number of new students is not balanced with the number of graduates (graduating on time) the problem can lead to potential dropouts. From these problems it is necessary to conduct an analysis to predict the study period at Halmahera University. The main objective of this research is to predict student study period using Naïve Bayes algorithm, by utilising student graduation data from 2014-2017. The approach used involves the stages of data selection, data preprocessing, analytical processing, and output, with evaluation of prediction results using confusion matrix. Prediction of study period is done by data mining method and using Naïve Bayes algorithm to find patterns (knowledge). The data used is student graduation data in 2014-2017 with a total of 1,157 records, the data is divided into 926 records for training data (80%) and 231 records as testing data (20%). The prediction results show the accuracy rate of the Naïve Bayes Algorithm is 82.9%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening the religious character of students in the madrasah environment. There are still students who have not prayed on time and are less active in religious activities such as commemorating Islamic holidays. Strategic efforts to strengthen religious character are carried out through the internalization of values in the Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin Student Profile (PPRA). The purpose of this study is to determine how students practice the values of PPRA, describe the religious character of students, and analyze the effect of PPRA values on the religious character of students at MAN 3 Padang Pariaman. This research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto method. The research sample amounted to 99 students from classes X and XI who were selected through proportional random sampling. The data collection instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, while the data analysis technique used simple linear regression test. The results showed that PPRA values were internalized through real activities such as Bajamba Custom, Student Elections, Friday Blessings, and Ecobricks which fostered religious attitudes, social responsibility, and empathy. The religious character of students is reflected in positive habits such as congregational prayer, daily prayer, Friday donations, and involvement in religious activities. Abstract

Globalization and technological developments have posed significant challenges to students’ character education, including weakened morality, rising individualism, diminished appreciation of cultural values, and reduced sensitivity to religious teachings. This study aims to analyze the implementation of integrating Minangkabau local wisdom and Islamic values in character education at SMAN 1 West Sumatra, as well as the strategies employed by the school to optimize this integration. The study uses a qualitative case study approach, involving in-depth interviews with school leaders, teachers, and students, participatory observations, and analysis of school documents and visual archives. Data were thematically analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, with triangulation to ensure validity. The results show that character internalization occurs holistically through habituation, teacher role modeling, school routines, religious and social activities, and community involvement. Values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance are internalized practically. Integrating Islamic values with the principle of Adat Basandi Syara’, Syara’ Basandi Kitabullah strengthens students’ religious and cultural identity while equipping them with moral, social, and reflective competencies relevant to modern challenges.

Abstract

Qur’anic literacy from an early age holds a crucial role in shaping the Islamic character of students, particularly at the elementary education level. However, the memorization achievements of Qur’an among students in public elementary schools remain varied and suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Tikrar method in improving Qur’an memorization skills among students at SDN 41 Padang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group. A total of 32 students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through pretest and posttest memorization assessments and analyzed using the paired sample t-test with SPSS. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group (p-value = 0.000), indicating that the Tikrar method is effective in enhancing Qur’an memorization among public elementary school students. This study contributes to the reinforcement of Qur’anic literacy in schools and offers practical guidance in implementing a structured memorization method. It concludes that the Tikrar method can serve as an effective learning strategy to support the development of Islamic character education. Further research is recommended to be conducted over a longer period and to incorporate digital media to optimize students' memorization retention.
