Abstract

Objective: This study was conducted to analyze students' high-level thinking skills in learning Pancasila Education in the Chapter of Managing Bhinneka Tunggal Ika as Social Capital for National Development. The main focus of this study is to analyze the differences in students' high-level thinking skills in three main materials, namely the Origin and Meaning of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Gotong Royong as a Manifestation of Pancasila Economy, and the Principle of Gotong Royong Building Harmony in Diversity. Based on this focus, the formulation of the problem in this study is how students' high-level thinking skills in understanding the three materials. The substance of this research focuses on evaluating the development of students' high-level skills in each material, identifying the factors that influence them, and providing recommendations for more effective learning strategies in improving higher-level thinking skills. Methods: The research method used was preliminary research that was descriptive and did not conduct hypothesis testing. The research sample consisted of 36 students in class X and Pancasila Education teachers at State Vocational School  2 Surabaya, East Java. The data collection technique used documentation of written exam scores, questionnaire sheets, and interviews with teachers and students. Results: The results of the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study show that 1). The students' high-level thinking skills are in the low and middle categories. Based on the results of the calculation, the material on the Principle of Mutual Cooperation in Building Harmony in Diversity, where the analysis skill score (C4) reached 63.42 in the medium category, evaluation (C5) 44,056 and created (C6) 43.39 which was classified as low category 2). The lowest indicators of high-level thinking skills are evaluation (C5) and creating (C6). 3). Teachers still use lecture methods and conventional teaching materials during learning. Novelty: This study provides a new perspective in measuring high-level thinking skills in the context of learning Pancasila Education in vocational schools, especially in understanding the three materials in the chapter on diversity and diversity. The results of this study are an important contribution to the development of digital flipbook interactive teaching materials with gamification-based interactive quizzes that are more effective with the aim of improving high-level thinking skills in Pancasila Education, especially in vocational schools that are still rarely studied in similar studies.

Abstract

Pentingnya manajemen resiko dalam Tindakan preventif untuk pencegahan penyakin pada organ Reproduksi Wanita. Dalam hal ini perlu kesadaran dari personal, supaya melakukan pencegahan sehingga meminimalisir penyakit dalam organ reproduksi Wanita. Pada kegiatan PKM ini mempunyai tujuan agar peserta penyuluhan menjadi paham dan menambah wawasan terkait pentingnya mengetahui pencegahan penyakit pada reproduksi Wanita. Lokasi kegiatan PKM di Perumahan Cendana, Tahap I, Batam Center dan peserta sejumlah 45 orang. Pelaksana PKM terdisi dari 1 dosen prodi Manajemen, 1 dosen prodi Psikologi dan 2 dosen dari Prodi Kebidanan.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada pentingnya analisis implementasi program SAS sebagai model pendidikan karakter yang belum banyak dikaji dalam konteks peningkatan kesadaran berkebhinekaan global, khususnya di tingkat SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi program Sekolahe Arek Suroboyo (SAS) dalam meningkatkan kesadaran berkebhinekaan global peserta didik, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan, hambatan, dan faktor pendukung keberhasilannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan dukungan kuantitatif secara terbatas untuk menganalisis peningkatan kesadaran berkebhinekaan global peserta didik. Subjek penelitian mencakup kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum dan kesiswaan, guru pengajar program SAS, serta siswa kelas VII dan VIII di SMP Kreatif An-Nur Surabaya. Lokasi dipilih karena sekolah ini merupakan pelaksana aktif Program Sekolahe Arek Suroboyo (SAS). Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak Agustus 2024 hingga Februari 2025. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan waktu. Hasil dari penelitian ini (1) implementasi program SAS di SMP Kreatif An-Nur telah memenuhi indikator aman, rekreatif, edukatif, dan kegotong-royongan; (2) upaya peningkatan kesadaran berkebhinekaan global melalui program SAS tercermin dari pembelajaran intrakurikuler dan kokurikuler; (3) tantangan dan hambatan setiap bidang SAS memiliki aspek yang berbeda-beda serta faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan implementasi program SAS mencakup faktor internal dan eksternal

Abstract

This research focuses on investigating the joint influence of critical thinking skills and learning motivation on student performance in social studies courses. The research was conducted at one junior high school in East Jakarta using a survey approach. The sample consisted of 80 students selected through simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires directly to participants. The data analysis procedure uses SPSS version 22, using instruments in the form of questionnaires and final exams. The findings of this research show that: (1) Critical thinking skills and learning motivation together have a big influence on social studies learning achievement; (2) Critical thinking skills have a significant independent influence on the success of social studies learning; and (3) Learning motivation also has a significant effect on academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the potential of geopark karst as a source of social studies learning in outdoor learning activities. The subjects of the study were 25 social studies teachers. Primary data in the form of direct observation and participation in the field, as well as the results of interviews with several key informants and supporters. Data analysis was obtained through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The following analysis technique uses SWOT analysis which produces a strategy formulation in utilizing the karst potential of the Singgahan Geopark as a source of social studies learning in outdoor learning activities. The most significant potential strength factor is the many variations of population adaptation to karst phenomena in outdoor learning locations, so it is interesting to study from the aspect of social interaction and the environment.

Abstract

Risk Management is all actions to minimize anything that is not desired. So, things are done to prevent these negative impacts. In relation to this, in adolescent education it is very important to include character values ​​in educational goals. One of them is about Adolescent Socialization. In this case, the PKM TEAM held a community service at SMP and SMK Ibnu Sina Kabil, Batam with the theme: Risk Management Education for Adolescents: Recognizing and Avoiding the Dangers of Free Association. This activity aims to teach students how to understand Education in recognizing and avoiding risks that may arise as a result of the dangers of free association. The problems that are currently rampant among adolescents related to Free Association require handling and the PKM TEAM contributes to providing Risk Management Education in this regard. The participants were around 200 students at SMP and SMK Ibnu Sina Kabil, Batam. Which was held for two days, namely November 20-21, 2024.

Abstract

This study intends to describe the content of values in the lyrics of the song dangdut koplo as a source of learning the value of characters in social studies learning in junior high school. The dangdut koplo music genre that is increasingly in demand by listeners from all ages of children to adults has song lyrics that are close to the theme of everyday social life. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. This study uses a qualitative approach to content analysis conducted on three dangdut koplo song titles (Bojo Galak, Bidadari Kesleo, and Pegaten Bojomu) with the most listeners. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the data shows that each of the lyrics of the song dangdut koplo entitled Bojo Galak, Bidadari Kesleo, and Pegaten Bojomu show the values of tolerance, honesty, responsibility, independent, and peace-loving character. The dangdut koplo song lyrics have themes that are close to the daily lives of students and contain some good character values, so it is recommended that teachers can use the dangdut koplo song lyrics as a source of learning the character values in junior high school social studies learning integrated with adjusting the contents of the song with the material which will be taught by the teacher.

Abstract

Education as a process of learning and channeling knowledge, changing behavior and shaping personal character must be done well. Teachers have an important influence on the keys to success and success of the learning process based on national education goals. In learning, an ideal set of learning tools is needed so that students are able to understand the material being taught well. Ideal education as the suitability that is aspired, expected and desired. The ideal learning process through learning tools is characterized by the nature of students becoming active. This research method uses content analysis, descriptive research types and qualitative approaches. The results of the study, from 10 schools that were sampled as many as 6 schools with complete categories that have a match between 8-11 components and 4 schools have a very complete category that has a compatibility between 12-13 components.

Abstract

Social studies learning by utilizing laboratories will make it easier for students to construct concepts and understand the material being taught. The existence of a relatively recently developed social studies laboratory is interesting to study so that it can become a reference for the next development stage. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that the role of social studies laboratories has been used by teachers in improving the quality of learning in schools. Data retrieval is done by interviews, questionnaires and observations Data analysis techniques in research using qualitative analysis is done by reflecting the results of observations of the learning process carried out. Data in the form of words from field notes are processed into meaningful sentences and analyzed qualitatively. IPS Laboratory is able to facilitate understanding, increase students' curiosity. However, this has not been optimal due to several things such as the unavailability of laboratory rooms, the systematic use of social studies laboratories, the lack of procedures for the use of complete IPS laboratories, and problems with facilities and infrastructure that have not been supported.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has become a global health disaster since March 2020 and has had a significant impact on education. The education system forced to change from a face-to-face learning model to a virtual one to reduce the spread of COVID-19. These extraordinary conditions that lasted no less than one year give various responses from both teachers and learners perspectives. This study examines secondary school teachers and learners perspectives regarding education in the future post, Covid-19 pandemic. This paper used the descriptive method by qualitative approach. Furthermore, this study was conducted by distributing online questionnaires from 5 provinces in Indonesia, involving 40 teachers and 28 learners. The results of this study indicate that (1) e-learning has not fully accommodated some educational values that can be transmitted through classical learning process only, (2) direct interaction are the most lost value during e-learning, (3) the sustainability of e-learning depends on the readiness of resources and infrastructure, and (4) blended learning is the suitable learning model for future education. From the result of these studies, identifying the suitable blended learning model for future education sustainability in every level of education is essential to be further studies as the stakeholder's reference in implementation learning models.
