Abstract

Waste is a serious problem in Indonesia, including Surakarta City, due to the low awareness of the community, especially housewives, in its management. This design aims to design character illustrations in the educational book of compost fertilizer from organic waste to help deliver information effectively. This design focuses on character illustrations inspired by the head of the PKK women who will be used in the educational book. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, the design method used is design thinking. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The design thinking method consists of five stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype and testing. The data used in this design consists of library data, data from interviews with PKK leaders and members in Jebres Village. The result of this design is an educational book that has a size of 14.8 cm x 21 cm or A5 size with 33 pages. The type of paper used on the book cover is 260 gsm artcarton while, for the contents using 150 gsm artpaper. Supporting media in this design are posters and Merchandise, namely tote bags and pins. Educational media in the form of books has been tested on the target audience and the character illustrations presented are able to represent educational messages effectively through visualization of friendly characters, familiar with the audience, and costumes that support and pay attention to the appropriate color theory.

Abstract

Usaha batik warna alam di Daerah Bayat Klaten terdapat terkendala terkait harga bahan baku, sehingga memengaruhi penetapan harga jual produk. Penelitian diharapkan dapat merekomendasikan alternatif bahan baku warna alam sebagai subtitusi pewarna batik. Tumbuhan yang umum dijumpai di daerah setempat adalah pohon ketapang (Terminalia catappa). Pohon ketapang dimanfaatkan sebagai tanaman penghias atau tanaman peneduh yang banyak tumbuh di negara-negara tropis. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan daun ketapang sebagai bahan pewarna alam ramah lingkungan untuk memperoleh alternatif bahan dan keterjangkauan harga. Menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan pada perajin batik warna alam di daerah Bayat Klaten. Sampel penelitian adalah daun ketapang secara random sampling yang terbagi menjadi dua jenis yaitu daun ketapang berwarna hijau dan daun ketapang berwarna kemerahan. Penelitian diterapkan pada proses produksi batik cap, dengan proses penelitian meliputi tahapan mordanting; pengecapan; ekstraksi warna; penguncian warna dengan tunjung, kapur dan tawas. Dilakukan pengujian ketahanan warna terhadap pencucian, yang hasilnya dapat direkomendasikan untuk proses produksi batik. Hasil ekstraksi daun ketapang yang diterapkan pada kain batik menghasilkan pewarna yang mengarah ke warna kecoklatan. Daun ketapang dapat menjadi alternatif warna alam berdasarkan penggunaan daun yang dipilih serta dipengaruhi oleh bahan pengunci yang digunakan.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a socio-economic structure of society that is represented by the existence of the villages. At present, there are many villages in Indonesia that have developed due to the economic efforts made by the village communities. One of these villages is Laweyan village, in Central Java Province. Laweyan village is a well-known batik production in the development of Surakarta municipality. Up to this day, Kampung Batik Laweyan (Laweyan Batik Village) has become a brand image of batik in Surakarta and surrounding areas, even Laweyan's batik products have penetrated the international world. Here, batik business owner and their employees work together to conserve batik products as a result of the declaration of Kampung Laweyan as batik tourism village. The aim of this study is to develop quality and creativity in batik products, as well as product marketing. To achieve it the improvement of human resource quality (business owner and employee) is needed. Training on various managerial skills and other skills will enable them to compete in the business world as well as to provide better services to customers. Using descriptive analysis, the data is collected using several methods: field observation, interview, FGD, and content analysis (document review). The data is analyzed using several techniques, interactive analysis techniques and internal-external analysis techniques. The results of this study show that the craftsman/business owner in Laweyan batik industrial center always try to maintain the survival of their companies, with the knowledge provided to them and managerial and attitude training, they are better prepared to adapt to the recent development and the environment in the sense that they have developed the integration and synergy of human resources based to the structure and function in batik production and marketing aspect.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Beban kerja merupakan proses seseorang saat menyelesaikan pekerjaan dalam keadaan normal dan dalam jangka waktu tertentu yang berkaitan dengan indikatornya. Low back pain merupakan nyeri yang berada diantara lipatan gluteus inferior dan batas costae yang terjadi selama satu hari lebih, dapat disertai dengan mati rasa, nyeri kaki, tetapi tidak termasuk sensasi nyeri yang terkait dengan kehamilan dan menstruasi. Prevalensi lbp di Indonesia sebesar 3,71%, di Jawa Tengah sebesar 40%, dan di Banyumas sebesar 29,47%. Beban kerja yang berlebih dan dilakukan dalam waktu yang lama, maka seiring berjalannya waktu akan berisiko mengalami low back pain, karena tulang punggung sendiri mengalami tekanan oleh beban berat dengan waktu yang lama. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui hubungan beban kerja petani padi dengan kejadian low back pain di Dusun Siblabak. Metode Penelitian: Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional, dan dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel 82 responden, alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Kendall's Tau. Hasil Penelitian: Menunjukkan beban kerja pada petani padi dengan kategori berat sebesar 41 (50%) responden, dan kejadian low back pain dengan kategori severe disability sebesar 39 (47.6%) responden. Hasil uji korelasi Kendall's Tau diperoleh p-value = 0.000 (

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan di Panti Pelayanan Sosial Anak (PPSA) Taruna Yodha Sukoharjo meneruskan program kegiatan sebelumnya. Program ini bertujuan untuk mendukung keberhasilan  PPSA Taruna Yodha dalam mengembangkan keahlian pembuatan produk lain dengan teknik Happa Zome  dan steam serta sistem pelayanan on-line yang akan dijalankan untuk para siswa. Pengetahuan tentang desain pada produk  sangat  diperlukan guna  meningkatkan  pengetahuan dan sebagai bekal penerapan secara visual, sehingga dapat menghasilkan produk dengan teknik happa zome dan steam yang lebih baik. Sistem pelayanan on-line shop tidak kalah pentingnya dalam pengembangan ini. On-line shop yang mulai dijalankan oleh PPSA Taruna Yodha masih memerlukan sistem yang strategis dalam menawarkan produk yang dihasilkan. Program kegiatan pendampingan yang di berikan selain desain dan Teknik Happa Zome dan steam juga  tentang sistem pelayanan on-line shop yang mencakup pengetahuan produk yang berkualitas, product knowledge/story telling product, sistem kemasan pada produk.            Program kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan  dalam wujud pendampingan dan pelatihan kepada 20 orang penerima manfaat dan pemberian wawasan selama 7 kali pertemuan yakni diawali dengan pemberian wawasan dan praktek tentang desain serta bagaimana mulai membuat sebuah perancangan produk teknik happa zome dan steam secara sederhana, pemberian wawasan material atau bahan, sistem pelayanan secara on-line dengan pemberian wawasan tentang product knowledge, produk yang berkualitas, packaging untuk menyampaikan layanan komunikasi secara tepat.Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah melalui metode pendampingan, pelatihan  tentang pengembangan desain dengan teknik Happa zome dan steam serta system online shop untuk memasarkan produk yang telah dibuat oleh para siswa yang ada di PPSA Taruna Yodha. Hasil yang di capai dalam kegiatan ini adalah para siswa di PPSA Taruna Yodha mendapatkan wawasan dan tambahan keahlian dalam bidang olah tekstil teknik Happa Zome dan steam serta mempu mengenal produk yang baik,  memanange produksinya, serta memanage strategi sistem pelayanan online shop nya secara maksimal dan mandiri.

Abstract

Batik Bonjer is a business group of low-income families engaged in batik production. The business has only been running for two years, and with members who have no background or experience in the field of batik, it is challenging to develop products. The ability to create products is often limited by initial training, which can result in underdeveloped products that are difficult to compete in the market. To overcome this problem, the PKM-UNS 2023 Team from RG Crafts and Innovation organized a program to enhance the capacity of Batik Bonjer's human resources in product development, utilizing paper stamp and smock coloring techniques. The activities carried out involve increasing human resource capacity and expanding and diversifying product offerings. This program successfully enhanced human resource capabilities in the production process, expanded product diversification, and increased sales. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of halal tourism policies in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB), Indonesia, as part of its strategic agenda to become a Muslim-friendly tourism destination. Methodology/approach: Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 32 scholarly articles published between 2021 and 2025, the study employs the CIPP evaluation framework (Context, Input, Process, Product) to analyze policy aspects. The review was conducted with halal tourism policies and how these policies contribute to sustainable tourism development. Results/findings: The findings reveal that NTB possesses strong geographical, cultural, and demographic advantages supporting halal tourism. However, challenges persist in human resource capacity, institutional coordination, and equitable distribution of outcomes. Policy formulation aligns well with both local and global demands, but implementation and monitoring require significant improvements. Conclusion: While NTB’s halal tourism policies have a solid foundation, enhancing execution and oversight is crucial for maximizing sustainable development benefits. Limitations: This study is limited by its reliance on secondary data from existing literature, which may not capture the most recent policy dynamics or on-the-ground realities. Contribution: The research contributes to public policy scholarship by providing a conceptual and evaluative synthesis of halal tourism policy effectiveness, highlighting areas for strategic improvement in Indonesia’s sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

Integrated Wonorejo Zone is one of the development zone in Lumajang Regency with significant goals to improve potensial condition in three aspect namely tourism, agriculture and SMEs. Based on RTRW in 2008-2028, which was established in 2008, the development strategy of this zone is change. Integrated Wonorejo Zone was mentioned as a Strategic Economic Development Zone. This research describe and analyse about how the implication of policy change toward Integrated Wonorejo Zone. This research using method of descriptive research with qualitative approach as well as analysis of data by John Seidel about QDA (qualitative data analysis). The result of this research explain that the policy change implication, from description, implementation and implication point of view did not give significant expectation. Abstract

The Master Plan Activity of Serayu River Voyage (SRV) for tourism development in Banyumas Regency were expected to be completed within five years from 2008 to 2012, but during the period until 2013, most programs and activities have not been implemented. The results showed that the Master Plan of SRV in the framework of tourism development in Banyumas Regency has not been implemented properly. The cause is the absence of good coordination between agencies, the lack programs and activities integration, supporting documents have not been revised, absence of good socialization, and the lack of private sector contribution. The factors that constrain and support implementation of the Master Plan is described as follows. Supporting factors: competent human resources (implementor) already available at the managerial level and have intellectual tourism, it is only need to add personnel in the sector of culture; the availability of adequate budget; institutions that have been effective and efficient; High community response; High commitment of Banyumas Regent and cooperation related parties (stakeholders); and natural conditions of Serayu tend to calm and the river slope condition is small. The constrain factors: regulatory policies; integration of programs and activities; coordination and socialization implied sectoral ego that need to be addressed.
