Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of digital learning platforms to support the learning process in schools. One of the digital learning platforms that is widely used is Quizizz, which offers interactive and technology-based learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of using a Quizizz-based digital learning platform on students’ creativity and learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design employing a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. Research data were obtained through questionnaires to measure learning creativity and tests to measure students’ learning outcomes. The collected data were then analyzed using Simple Linear Regression, Difference Test (Paired Sample T-Test), and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The results of the study show that the use of Quizizz in the learning process has a significant effect on students’ creativity and learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the significance value of the simple linear regression test of 0.005 < 0.05, the Paired Sample T-Test of 0.000 < 0.05, and the MANOVA test of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the use of Quizizz can be an effective alternative digital learning medium for improving students’ creativity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the tahfid Al-Qur'an program in forming student discipline at the Al-Washoya Islamic Boarding School Kertorejo Jombang. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research findings are that the tahfid Al-Qur'an program can provide character education values ​​to al-washoya students. The character that is the main objective of implementing the tahfid Al-Qur'an program is to form student discipline. Several supporting factors in forming santri discipline through the tahfid Al-Qur'an program are takhasus books, santri intelligence, the high interest of santri, attention from ustadzahs, and giving reminders. The inhibiting factors are that some students are not fluent, do not have enthusiasm, and lack time deposits.

Abstract

Character education should not merely emphasize intellectual development but also the internalization of moral and ethical values to cultivate responsible and integrity-driven individuals. However, current educational practices still tend to prioritize cognitive achievement, resulting in an imbalance between academic performance and students’ affective-moral development. This study aims to examine the role of the Tahfidzul Qur’an program in fostering students’ discipline and independence at MA Unggulan Rohmatul Ummah Mojokerto, grounded in the perspective of Adab al-‘Alim wa al-Muta’allim. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers, the principal, and students. The findings reveal that the Tahfidzul Qur’an program plays a significant role in cultivating students’ discipline through structured memorization schedules, while also encouraging their independence in managing learning responsibilities. Furthermore, the integration of ethical values derived from Adab al-‘Alim wa al-Muta’allim—such as discipline, humility, and respect for knowledge—substantially strengthens students’ character formation. This study contributes to the field of Islamic education by offering an empirical model of character development through Qur’anic memorization programs integrated with ethical teachings. In conclusion, these findings underscore the strategic importance of the Tahfidzul Qur’an program in nurturing disciplined and independent students, as well as its relevance for broader implementation in contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis transformasi nilai-nilai pendidikan KH. Hasyim Asy’ari dalam konteks pembangunan harmoni agama dan negara di era post-truth. Era post-truth ditandai oleh menguatnya emosi dan opini subjektif dalam pembentukan persepsi publik yang sering kali menggeser otoritas fakta. Kondisi ini berimplikasi pada meningkatnya polarisasi sosial-keagamaan dan ketegangan antara identitas religius dan identitas kebangsaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan metode analisis deskriptif-analitis dan hermeneutik kritis terhadap karya-karya KH. Hasyim Asy’ari, terutama Adab al-‘Ālim wa al-Muta‘allim, serta literatur ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan KH. Hasyim Asy’ari—meliputi integrasi akhlak dan ilmu, etika relasi guru-murid, keseimbangan spiritual-intelektual, serta orientasi kemaslahatan—memiliki relevansi strategis dalam membangun harmoni agama dan negara. Transformasi nilai tersebut dapat diwujudkan melalui penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis adab, literasi informasi, dan internalisasi moderasi beragama. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam yang berakar pada tradisi pesantren, sebagaimana dirumuskan oleh KH. Hasyim Asy’ari, dapat menjadi fondasi epistemik dan etik dalam merespons disrupsi kebenaran di era post-truth.

Abstract

Globalisasi merupakan fenomena multidimensional yang membawa perubahan fundamental dalam bidang sosial, ekonomi, budaya, dan pendidikan. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan tradisional menghadapi dinamika transformasi yang menuntut kemampuan adaptasi tanpa kehilangan identitas keislamannya. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis peluang dan tantangan globalisasi terhadap pengembangan sistem pendidikan pesantren serta relevansinya dalam membentuk sumber daya manusia unggul di era abad ke-21. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan dengan analisis kritis terhadap literatur globalisasi dan pendidikan Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa globalisasi membuka peluang modernisasi kurikulum, integrasi teknologi pendidikan, serta penguatan kompetensi global santri. Namun demikian, globalisasi juga menghadirkan tantangan berupa krisis nilai, disrupsi budaya, serta tuntutan profesionalisasi lembaga pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, pesantren perlu melakukan transformasi pedagogis berbasis nilai keislaman, literasi digital, dan pendidikan karakter agar tetap relevan dalam sistem pendidikan global.

Abstract

This article aims to provide knowledge about the importance of stimulating the fetus in the womb in accordance with the Qur'anic verse An-Nahl 78 regarding the creation of hearing that precedes the creation of the senses of sight and heart (reason and mind). In examining the verse, the researcher used the science of munasabah to analyze the relationship and harmony between An-Nahl 78 and other verses. The results are then correlated with medical facts and scientific journals in previous studies.  Using books, journals, articles, and written documents as the main materials, this study employs a qualitative method. The results show that maximizing hearing during storytelling activities while the child is in the womb can stimulate their brain development and language skills. In line with Surah An-Nahl verse 78, this activity is also a concrete action to support the government in improving literacy through the National Literacy Movement (GLN) at the smallest level, namely the family.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic Religious Education materials in developing the social and emotional intelligence of fourth grade elementary school students. The novelty of the study lies in analyzing the relevance of PAI material content to students social emotional behavior, not just the method or cognitive learning outcomes. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was conducted through learning observations, in depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, and analysis of curriculum documents and learning tools. The results of the study indicate that 1) Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials in fourth grade elementary school at SD Negeri 1 Kaumrejo are implemented in a planned and contextual manner, emphasizing the internalization of values through role models, habituation, and strengthening students religious attitudes and social behavior 2) students social and emotional intelligence develop quite well, characterized by the ability to cooperate, empathize, mutual respect, and manage emotions, although guidance is still needed in emotional control and conflict resolution 3) PAI materials have strong relevance to the development of students social and emotional intelligence, because their consistent and reflective implementation contributes significantly to shaping positive social behavior and strengthening the role of PAI in character education in elementary schools

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze and empirically measure the magnitude of the influence of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum based on deep learning on improving students' creativity and religious character in the digital era. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method on 67 students selected through simple sampling. A random sampling method was used from a population of 199 students. Data were collected through a 32-item closed-ended questionnaire using a four-point Likert scale . Analysis was conducted using validity, reliability, and linear regression tests using SPSS at a significance level of 0.05 to examine the impact of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum based on deep learning. learning on students' creativity and religious character. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is based on deep Learning has a positive and significant effect on students' creativity and religious character. The results of the regression test showed a significant effect on students' creativity (B = 0.342; t = 10.63; Sig . = 0.000) with a contribution of 46.5% (R² = 0.465), as well as on students' religious character (B = 0.340; t = 10.23; Sig . = 0.000) with a contribution of 42.6% (R² = 0.426). The average score of curriculum implementation is in the high category ( Mean = 52.47), followed by students' creativity ( Mean = 26.15) and students' religious character ( Mean = 27.03). These findings confirm that meaningful, reflective, collaborative learning, and ethically oriented technology integration are empirically able to improve students' cognitive and moral dimensions simultaneously in the digital era

Abstract

The rapid development of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has opened new opportunities to enhance the quality of education, including Islamic religious education. The Akidah Akhlak subject is still predominantly taught using conventional methods, which are often monotonous and less engaging for the digital generation. Therefore, there is a need for innovative, interactive, and adaptive teaching materials. This study aims to develop AI-based teaching materials to improve student engagement, understanding, and learning outcomes in Akidah Akhlak. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with both qualitative and quantitative designs. The ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) is applied to develop the teaching materials, supported by the Quizizz platform as an interactive tool for learning and formative assessment. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, pre-tests and post-tests, and student questionnaires, then analyzed using thematic analysis for qualitative data and statistical tests for quantitative data. The results indicate that the AI-based teaching materials are highly feasible, with expert validation reaching 84% and student response at 83%. Pre-test and post-test analyses showed a significant improvement in student understanding, with the average N-Gain score increasing from 53.16 to 81.53, demonstrating high effectiveness. The findings imply that AI-based teaching materials not only enhance the quality of Akidah Akhlak learning but also provide an interactive teaching alternative that aligns with the needs of the digital generation. This study serves as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in leveraging technology to enrich students’ learning experiences.

Abstract

Indonesia is a “space of imagination” rich in metaphorical and analogical traditions rich in symbols, allusions, and narratives, such as folktales, pantun, proverbs, wayang puppetry, and various forms of traditional Indonesian art. However, this space of imagination has not yet flowed into classrooms, thus stimulating students’ thinking styles. Furthermore, valid, reliable, and theory-based instruments are still very limited. Measuring synectic thinking styles that strive to create a creative, innovative, and globally competitive generation will only be policy rhetoric. This article aims to develop and validate a synectic thinking style measurement instrument designed to assess students’ engagement in metaphorical and creative thinking processes. This instrument is based on the synectic thinking style construct with two main theoretical dimensions by Gordon, making the strange familiar – which is understanding something unfamiliar through an existing knowledge framework – and making the familiar strange which is seeing something familiar from a new perspective. Data were collected online through a convenience sampling technique from 1,252 respondents, and after cleaning outliers, 607 responses were retained for analysis. Validity tests using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) showed a stable factor structure and met the goodness of fit criteria. The Rasch Model analysis supported high reliability and fulfilled the assumptions of local independence. Although several items were found to have similar content or sound, and the need for refinement of the distribution of item difficulty levels, this instrument was deemed suitable for use as an initial measurement of synectic thinking style as a result of a particular learning model. Further research is recommended for the development of adaptive and cross-context versions
