Abstract

Traditional instructional methods, such as PowerPoint and video presentations, often fall short in promoting deep understanding and student engagement, particularly in complex topics like acid–base titration. This study investigates the need for innovative, inquiry-based learning resources integrated with virtual laboratories to support instructional improvement in analytical chemistry. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, involving in-depth interviews with a lecturer and a student, as well as questionnaires completed by 29 students. The findings reveal widespread dissatisfaction with current learning resources due to limitations in interactivity, completeness, and applicability. Most students strongly agreed on the need for enhanced instructional materials, inquiry-driven learning models, and simulation-based tools. A feasibility assessment of existing materials showed high scores in language clarity but highlighted the need for improvements in content quality and visual presentation. These results underscore the importance of combining guided inquiry with virtual laboratories to enhance conceptual understanding, engagement, and critical thinking. The study contributes practical insights for designing more effective learning environments in chemistry education, especially in settings with limited access to physical laboratory facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce a feasible module. Islamic values-based learning module is an innovation to support educational progress. This module could be utilized as teaching materials to shape the student's religious character through independent learning to achieve the desired competency goals. The research method used was the R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE procedure as the development model. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the developed module was feasible based on the feasibility assessment by material experts, media experts, teachers, and students. Overall, it met the feasibility criteria with an average score of 4.75 from the material experts, 4.55 from the media experts, 4.28 from the teachers, 4.45 from the limited rial, and 4.61 from the field trial. The module was declared feasible, effective, and practical to be used as teaching materials and learning resources by students in the history learning process. The benefit is that the material in the module is integrated with Islamic values to improve and shape the students’ religious character.

Abstract

The problem faced by farmers is the price of fertilizer that continues to rise, especially if there is no subsidy that can ease farming capital. One solution that can be attempted in the problem of agricultural fertilizers is to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and switch to the use of organic fertilizers that are more environmentally friendly and easier to obtain. For agricultural areas such as Girimulya Village, Pacet District, Bandung Regency, where most of the farmers raise livestock, they can utilize livestock waste to be used as organic fertilizer, most of which still have few people who process animal waste into organic fertilizer. This Community Service tries to educate the people of Girimulya Village in utilizing animal waste as organic fertilizer, both solid and liquid types. The implementation of team which has been carried out through several stages, including initial surveys to the location, planning, testing of Solid Organic Fertilizer and Liquid Organic Fertilizer and applying it to plants, and the final stage is educating the community through posters.

Abstract

Research on the physical and chemical quality of weed silage with the addition of corn flour has been carried out. The research was carried out on November 30, 2024 – February 25, 2025 at the Animal Nutrition Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Mercu Buana Yogyakarta University and the Chem-Mix Bantul laboratory, Yogyakarta. The study used an experimental method with a complete random design (RAL) in a unidirectional pattern using 4 treatments, namely P0 (no treatment), P1 (1% corn flour), P2 (3% corn flour) and P3 (5% corn flour), then each treatment was replicated three times. In each treatment, molasses was added 0.6%, and EM4 1%. The observed variables including the physical quality of silage, namely aroma, color, mold presence, texture and pH, while the chemical quality included moisture content, crude protein content and crude fiber content.  The data obtained was tabulated and analyzed by variance analysis, if there were differences, further tests were carried out with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results of the variance analysis showed no significant difference (P>0.05) in the variables of Aroma, pH, and mold presence, but indicated significant effect in the color and texture variables (P<0.05). The average moisture content of the silage in this study was  P0: 54.53%; P1: 57.35%; P2: 55.79%; and P3: 55.42%, crude protein content  P0: 10.27%; P1: 11.00%; P2: 9.58%; and P3: 10.05%, crude fiber content P0: 34.51%; P1: 33.69%; P2: 34.78%; and P3: 36.58%. The results of the variance analysis showed no significant difference (P>0.05) in all treatments. It can be concluded that the addition of corn flour to weed silage affects the quality of Color, and Texture, but does not affect the Aroma, Mold, pH and chemical quality. The use of 1% corn flour produced the best quality of silage.
