Abstract

In general, the lighting needed in the building is indoors and outdoors. The building lighting must be turned off when not in use to suit the needs. Therefore, the design of the lighting system in the building must be equipped with a switch on the lamp. In this study, a lighting system automation tool in the building was made to shorten the time in the process of turning on the lights, thus humans do not need to manually switch. The lighting system automation in the building is made using several components, namely Arduino nan, RTC (Real Time Clock), light sensor modules, relays, and PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) motion sensors. After testing the tools made, the results can be seen, namely, the building lighting in the room will light up at night when there is human activity and light up during the day when there is not enough light and there is human activity. Furthermore, the lighting outside the building will only turn on at night and turn off during the day.

Abstract

The tradition of buwuhan, or donation, is integral to Javanese traditional wedding ceremonies. This practice not only functions as financial support but also reflects social values such as collectivism and reciprocity within the community. This study aims at identifying the mental accounting practices involved in the buwuhan tradition during Javanese weddings and to analyse the symbolic meaning of financial management related to buwuhan. The research adopted a qualitative approach using an ethnographic method, with data collected through direct observation, interviews, and analysis of relevant documents. The informants included traditional elders, community leaders, and individuals who had participated in the wedding procession. The main finding revealed that the practice of buwuhan is perceived as a form of kepotangan a social debt or reciprocal obligation. As a result, many households manage their budgets by prioritising the fulfilment of these obligations over other financial needs.

Abstract

The research about the utilization of modified gas-liquid separators in the determination of Hg ions by using the Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (CV-AAS) method has been done. To optimize the measurement results, several parameters that affect the hydride generator have been studied. Some specified essential parameters are the type and concentration of acid, the level of SnCl2 as a reducing agent, sample volume and the analytical performance such as linearity (r), detection limit (LOD) and quantitation limit (LOQ), repeatability (% RSD), and accuracy have been studied. The results of the research showed the gas-liquid separator modified can be used instead of commercial gas- liquid separators. It was showed by the repeatability value as % RSD < 2/3 CV Horwitz values, the LOD was 0.2530 μg/mL, and the LOQ was 0.8432 μg/mL. The accuracy of this method was good shown by a recovery percentage of 101.6%. Based on the result of this research, the modified of gas-liquid separator can be used for the determination https://www.adenomyosisadviceassociation.org/hysterectomy of Hg ions by using the CV-AAS method with valid results

Abstract

This study aims to explore naturally occurring practices of positive reinforcement in the learning process of Mathematical Physics 2 and their impact on students' motivation and understanding. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews with the lecturer, and student questionnaires. The results show that the most frequently appearing forms of reinforcement included verbal praise, the awarding of additional points, and constructive feedback. Student responses indicate that these reinforcements had a positive effect on their enthusiasm for learning and classroom engagement. However, students also emphasized the importance of transparency and fairness in the distribution of reinforcement. This study provides an initial contribution to understanding naturally emerging reinforcement strategies and their relevance for further development as systematic instructional approaches in higher education.

Abstract

Thermal comfort is one of the key factors in supporting the teaching and learning process in classrooms, especially in tropical regions like Indonesia, which experience high solar radiation intensity. This study aims to analyze the effect of heat radiation from opening areas on thermal comfort in School Building X. The method involved measuring the dimensions of the building's openings and facades to calculate the Window to Wall Ratio (WWR), as well as determining the Solar Factor (SF) and Shading Coefficient (SC) based on SNI 03-6389-2020. The heat radiation value (Qf”) was calculated for the east and west orientations, which receive the most direct sunlight exposure. The results showed that the highest radiation occurred on the west side at 18.91 W/m² and the east side at 16.42 W/m². Meanwhile, the north and south sides had no Qf” value due to the absence of window openings (WWR = 0). The increase in indoor temperature caused by radiation through openings has a direct impact on the thermal comfort of students, teachers, and university students using the classrooms. Therefore, passive design strategies such as shading and the use of low-E glass are highly recommended to reduce heat load and create a comfortable learning environment.

Abstract

MSMEs are the driving force of the community's economy and play an important role in the coffee processing sector. Gupait MSMEs still face obstacles in the roasting process, which is done manually using a hand crank, resulting in unstable temperatures and inconsistent roasting quality. This community service program was implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method through the stages of observation, socialization, design of a temperature-controlled roasting machine, trial assistance, and operational training for partners. The roasting machine developed has a capacity of 5 kg per roasting process and uses an automatic Temperature Control system. The implementation results showed a significant improvement in the quality of the roasting, with a uniformity level of around 85-90% and no burnt coffee beans, based on visual evaluation from field trials. Additionally, production capacity increased from approximately 1 kg to 5 kg (maximum drum capacity). The assistance also improved partners' understanding of equipment use and maintenance. This program had a positive impact on product quality improvement, process efficiency, and the competitiveness of Gupait MSMEs.

Abstract

The essence of mathematics is a thought process in constructing, applying abstract ideas, and their logical interrelationships. This process is essential in solving quantitative and qualitative physics problems, where abstract ideas are required to represent physical phenomena. This study aims to give detail description of the process of mathematical methods for physics lectures. Improvement in pre-service physics teachers' critical thinking is designed to strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The methodology of research is qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were 97 pre-service physics teachers who had followed the mathematical methods for physics courses and teaching lecturers. Data collection consisted of questionnaires, and interviews. Observations are needed for describing the implementation of mathematical methods for physics courses, document analysis, and data collection, including lesson plan and assessment. The results showed that mathematical methods for physics courses need improvement in the learning process. It is concluded that lecture activities integrating computers into physics and mathematics are necessary to be implemented. It is expected that the program will improve students' ability in problem-solving, critical thinking skills, communication, digital era literacy, creative and innovative creations, and group work. Specifically, implementation of the program in the ordinary differential equations course can provide learning experiences to students regarding the process of reasoning in physics using mathematical principles.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Basic Electromechanical Work subject through the implementation of the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) model. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two systematic cycles, involving students of class X TOI at SMKN 1 Singosari. Each cycle was implemented through stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection to ensure continuous improvement of the learning process. Data on student learning outcomes were collected using multiple instruments, including cognitive achievement tests to measure conceptual understanding, psychomotor observation sheets to assess practical skills, and affective observation sheets to evaluate attitudes, motivation, and learning responsibility. The results of the research demonstrate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes across all three domains—affective, psychomotor, and cognitive—after the implementation of the SRL model. Students showed increased learning independence, better engagement in learning activities, and higher responsibility for their own learning processes. These improvements suggest that the SRL model effectively encourages active learning and supports students in managing their learning strategies, goals, and self-evaluation. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Self-Regulated Learning model is effective in enhancing student learning outcomes. Therefore, the implementation of SRL is strongly recommended as an alternative learning strategy for both practical and theory-based subjects to foster more meaningful and sustainable learning experiences.

Abstract

Meningkatnya tuntutan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan menuntut guru madrasah diniyah memiliki kompetensi literasi digital yang memadai dan berkelanjutan. Pada kenyataannya, keterbatasan penguasaan teknologi, minimnya akses pelatihan, serta rendahnya pemanfaatan media digital masih menjadi kendala utama sehingga proses pembelajaran cenderung berlangsung secara konvensional. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat literasi digital guru Madrasah Diniyah Al-Mutaal di Kabupaten Bojonegoro agar mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi secara efektif dalam pembelajaran keagamaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan guru secara aktif pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, refleksi, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Program pengabdian meliputi workshop literasi digital, pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran digital interaktif, serta pendampingan implementasi media dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis perubahan praktik mengajar guru sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman literasi digital, keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan serta memanfaatkan media pembelajaran digital, dan meningkatnya kemandirian serta kepercayaan diri guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi. Penguatan literasi digital terbukti mendorong terciptanya pembelajaran keagamaan yang lebih interaktif, adaptif, dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

  ABSTRAK Kewirausahaan berbasis lingkungan adalah konsep bisnis yang menekankan penggunaan inovasi dan kreativitas untuk mengatasi masalah lingkungan dan keberlanjutan. Pendekatan ini bertujuan tidak hanya bisnis yang menghasilkan keuntungan finansial, tetapi juga berdampak positif pada lingkungan. Peluang bisnis yang berbasis lingkungan diantaranya adalah daur ulang dan pengelolaan limbah. Minyak jelantah merupakan salah satu limbah yang dapat didaur ulang dan dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku suatu produk. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang kewirausahaan berbasis lingkungan dan memberikan pelatihan tentang pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aromaterapi sebagai suatu peluang bisnis. Sasaran dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah para pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Rejosari Semarang Timur. Target yang ingin dicapai adalah masyarakat dapat memahami tentang kewirausahaan berbasis lingkungan, dan dapat menerapkannya sebagai suatu usaha yang menghasilkan keuntungan finansial. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  adalah metode sosialisasi, edukasi dan pelatihan. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah adanya peningkatan  pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang Kewirausahaan barbasis lingkungan, peningkatan semangat berwirausaha berbasis lingkungan, kesadaran terhadap lingkungan yang aman dari pencemaran dan peningkatan kemampuan mengelola limbah minyak jelantah menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis. Kegiatan ini diharapkan bisa membangkitkan ide-ide kreatif bagi para peserta pengabdian untuk berwirausaha berbasis lingkungan. ABSTRACT Environmentally based entrepreneurship is a business concept that emphasizes the use of innovation and creativity to address environmental and sustainability issues. This approach aims not only for businesses to generate financial profits, but also to have a positive impact on the environment. Environmentally based business opportunities include recycling and waste management. Used cooking oil is a type of waste that can be recycled and used as a raw material for a product. The purpose of this community service program is to educate the public about environmentally based entrepreneurship and provide training on utilizing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles as a business opportunity. The target of this community service program is MSMEs in Rejosari Village, East Semarang. The target to be achieved is for the community to understand environmental-based entrepreneurship and be able to apply it as a business that generates financial profits. The methods of implementing community service program activities are socialization, education, and training. The results of this community service program are increased knowledge and understanding of environmental-based entrepreneurship, increased enthusiasm for environmental-based entrepreneurship, awareness of a safe environment from pollution, and increased ability to manage used cooking oil waste into products with economic value. This activity is expected to generate creative ideas for community service participants to become environmentally based entrepreneurs.
