Abstract

AbstractConsumptive behavior is a lifestyle of consumers in society who tend to perceive material as something that can bring satisfaction in itself, this lifestyle can lead to consumptiveism. Consumptive behavior is influenced by several factors such as social factors and psychological factors which consist of conformity and perception, which will be used as factors that influence consumptive behavior in this study. This study aims to determine the relationship between conformity and perception with consumptive behavior towards Korean make-up products in the DMC Project community. The hypothesis proposed by the researcher is first: there is a relationship between conformity and perceptions of consumptive behavior, second: there is a relationship between conformity and consumptive behavior, third: there is a relationship between perception and consumptive behavior. The research method used in this research is quantitative method with non-random sampling technique, namely purposive sampling with a total of 60 subjects. This study used three scales to collect data including the consumptive behavior scale with 21 items (α = 0.961), the conformity scale with 24 items (α = 0.960) and the perception scale with 18 items (α = 0.931). The data obtained were then processed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques assisted by the SPSS 25.0 for windows program. The results showed first, the result of R = 0.838 and the value of F = 67, 039 with p = 0.000 (p <0.01), which means there is a correlation between conformity and perception simultaneously with consumptive behavior. Second, the value of t = 8,422 and p = 0.000 (p <0.01) means that there is a relationship between conformity and consumptive behavior. Third, t = -0.564 and p = 0.575 (p <0.01) means that there is no relationship between perceptions of consumptive behavior. Keywords: Consumptive behavior, conformity, Korean make-up products

Abstract

AbstractAcademic achievement is the level of success in studying the learning material. It can be seen from the GPA, which is a number that describes the success of studies cumulatively (Saputro, 2022). Academic achievement factors (Arofah et al., 2020) include internal factors (physiology and psychology) and external factors (social and non-social environment). The study aimed to determine the differences in student academic achievement in terms of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) and gender. The research sample was 160 students of the Faculty of General Medicine class of 2022 at Malahayati University, determined by random sampling technique. The data was collected using the MSLQ (Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire) scale, 2021/2022 academic year GPA, and students’ gender. The correlation test results were 0.562 (p = 0.000), where the p-value was lower than 0.05. Therefore, the proposed research hypothesis proved differences in academic achievement in terms of SRL and gender in the Faculty of General Medicine students at Malahayati University. The SRL contributed to academic achievement by 32%.

Abstract

Lampung Province has a rather high crime rate, particularly since most of these criminals are still in adolescence. Teenagers who engage in such criminal action are more likely to repeat the act, which might be categorized as a conduct disorder tendency. This research aims to investigate the relationship between authoritarian parenting and conduct disorder. The sampling technique employed was cluster sampling, with 395 high school students from science and social studies majors in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades in Bandar Lampung. The research instruments included a conduct disorder tendency questionnaire, an authoritarian parenting questionnaire, and demographic data, such as student gender. The data analysis comprised multiple linear regression. The findings of statistical analysis show that authoritarian parenting and gender have an impact on the probability of conduct disorder. These findings emphasize the importance of considering parents' roles and approaches while raising children and adolescents. This research is expected to be useful in developing more successful family education interventions or programs, particularly in increasing the dynamics and quality of relationships between parents and children or adolescents. Keywords: Tendency of conduct disorder, authoritarian parenting, gender

Abstract

Consumptive behavior is currently found in various kinds of social status. Both from the businessmen, traders, civil servants, students, men and women. Many women who work or not work always shop. It is possible that women who do not work also have consumptive behavior because in today's sophisticated era, access to purchases is easy. When they are happy or sad, they prefer to shop. But it can make them have the habit of shopaholic aka crazy shopping. The purpose of this comparative research is to reveal or find out the differences in consumptive behavior between working women and non-working women. Researchers used quantitative research methods with purposive sampling technique. The population in this study were women who worked and did not work at Dusun Calling 1 Desa Serbajadi 1. After doing the try out, the researcher did the actual research. The subjects in this study were Serbajadi 2 Hamlet with 80 subjects consisting of 40 working women and 40 unemployed women. Based on the results of data analysis in this study and reinforced by the theoretical basis that has been described, it can be concluded that "there are differences in consumptive behavior in working women and women not working". The t-test analysis showed that there was a very significant difference between working women and unemployed women, indicated by 5.722 and p = 0.002 or p <0.05. The average result for working women is 58.48 while the average for women not working is 63.63. It can be concluded that women who do not work have higher consumptive behavior.
