Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of Social Skill Training (SST) in enhancing the social skills of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) during kindergarten years. Children with ASD often struggle with social interactions, hindering their integration into preschool environments. Using a quantitative approach with a Single Subject Research (SSR) A-B-A design, this research focused on improving the "peer greeting" skill, specifically through waving. Results indicate significant improvement across study phases, with waving frequency increasing from 3-4 times in baseline-1 to 6-7 times during intervention, and further to 9-10 times in baseline-2. The findings underscore the effectiveness of SST in enhancing social skills among children with ASD, particularly in initiating greetings through waving. This research contributes valuable insights into evidence-based interventions for improving social interactions in children with ASD during their formative years.

Abstract

The 2020 school accreditation instrument (IASP2020) has changed the paradigm from accreditation as simply fulfilling administrative requirements to performance-based evaluation. IASP2020 focuses on measuring the quality of graduates, the learning process, quality of teachers, and school management. This research aims to examine the roadmap of education quality by type, level and area, and performance quality based on the accreditation components in IASP 2020 and the challenges to attain higher education quality. The data analyzed were the results of the piloting accreditation conducted by Board of National Accreditation for Schools/Madrasas (BAN-S/M) in 2020 on 4817 schools and madrasas. Sample selection was done through quota sampling. The results concluded that the majority of schools were accredited B. Senior High Schools (SMA) had better accreditation rating compared to other levels. In contrast, Elementary Schools/Madrasas (SD/MI) had the fewest A accreditation rating. Quality between provinces vary widely. DKI had the highest percentage of A rating while the lowest is NTT. The teacher quality component had the lowest score compared to the other three components. The factors causing the low quality at SD/MI were the students' low ability to communicate effectively, think critically in problem-solving and the lack of teachers’ initiative to carry out sustainable professional development. The low quality of SMK was due to the lack of graduates who were able to obtain competency certificates from the Professional Certification Institute, the poor management of the production unit/business center/techno park, and the lack of teachers who apply the results of training in the learning process. Mutu antar provinsi sangat bervariasi. Provinsi DKI memiliki jumlah peringkat A terbanyak sedangkan terendah adalah NTT. Komponen mutu guru memiliki skor paling rendah dibandingkan tiga komponen lainnya.

Abstract

Road facilities are part of the national transportation system according to Article 25 in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. Road facilities in the form of sidewalks and crossings are crossings for pedestrians. The arrangement of sidewalks by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is to improve urban infrastructure, where the percentage of sidewalk arrangements by 2022 will reach 5.58% of the length of roads in Jakarta. This research aims to determine the influence of factors Contract Change Order (CCO) on cost performance and implementation time for sidewalk arrangement activities, using structural equation modeling techniques-partial least squares (SEM-PLS). This research focuses on identifying the main CCO factors that directly influence cost performance, and indirectly influence implementation time performance through cost performance on road facility projects. There are 3 (three) types of research variables used; The independent variables consist of scope of work, planning, policy changes, specification changes, and coordination of related parties, the dependent variable is cost performance and the intervening variable is cost performance as a mediating variable of the influence of the CCO factor on time performance. The results showed that the coordination of related parties had a direct and significant positive impact on cost performance by 59%, and an indirect and significant impact on time performance through cost performance as a mediating variable by 37.7%.
