Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the supine sleeping position as a form of family-based early intervention to reduce spasticity in children with severe cerebral palsy (CP). The research was driven by limited access to professional therapy services, especially among low-income families. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with parents, observation of sleeping position practices, and family documentation over two months of intervention. The findings show that the family consistently implemented the supine sleeping position using simple household materials. Parents reported improvements in the child's sleep comfort, reduced morning muscle stiffness, and easier daily care routines. Despite challenges such as shifting sleep positions, uncomfortable room temperature, and caregiver fatigue, the family demonstrated adaptive and reflective capabilities. This study concludes that home-based simple interventions like the supine sleeping position have the potential to strengthen the family’s role in supporting independent care for children with severe CP.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a gamification-based reading learning program as a form of innovation in supporting the literacy skills of children with dyslexia. The background of this study is the limited adaptive and enjoyable learning media for children with specific barriers in reading, as well as the need for interventions that can facilitate phonological awareness and word recognition effectively. This study uses a descriptive approach with a simplified research and development (R&D) method in three stages, namely Needs Analysis, program Development, and validation by experts. Data were obtained through initial assessment, interviews with teachers and parents, and validation through focus group discussions. The results showed that programs designed according to the characteristics of children with dyslexia, utilize gamification elements such as points, levels, visual feedback, and interactive narratives. Expert validation shows that the program is feasible to use and can be an attractive and responsive alternative learning medium. Although this study does not yet include direct implementation trials, the development results make an initial contribution in designing a more personalized and enjoyable learning approach for children with special needs in reading.

Abstract

Introduction: Integrity of financial statements is an important characteristic that enables financial reporting to be transparent, honest, and fair, reflecting the condition of the company and can be trusted by stakeholders. Methods: . The technique used is descriptive, quantitatively, with secondary data from healthcare sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021-2024. The sample was taken using purposive sampling, resulting in 116 observations from 29 companies. The analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression and model-based regression analysis (MRA) with SPSS version 22.Results: The results indicate that, to some extent, independent commissionaires and financial distress have an adverse impact on the integrity of financial statements. In comparison, an auditor switching has no effect. Company size strengthens the influence of independent commissionaires and economic distress, but does not model the impact of auditor switching. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on the integrity of financial statements. These findings provide important insights for stakeholders in improving the transparency and accountability of financial statements in the healthcare sector. Abstract

The 2020 school accreditation instrument (IASP2020) has changed the paradigm from accreditation as simply fulfilling administrative requirements to performance-based evaluation. IASP2020 focuses on measuring the quality of graduates, the learning process, quality of teachers, and school management. This research aims to examine the roadmap of education quality by type, level and area, and performance quality based on the accreditation components in IASP 2020 and the challenges to attain higher education quality. The data analyzed were the results of the piloting accreditation conducted by Board of National Accreditation for Schools/Madrasas (BAN-S/M) in 2020 on 4817 schools and madrasas. Sample selection was done through quota sampling. The results concluded that the majority of schools were accredited B. Senior High Schools (SMA) had better accreditation rating compared to other levels. In contrast, Elementary Schools/Madrasas (SD/MI) had the fewest A accreditation rating. Quality between provinces vary widely. DKI had the highest percentage of A rating while the lowest is NTT. The teacher quality component had the lowest score compared to the other three components. The factors causing the low quality at SD/MI were the students' low ability to communicate effectively, think critically in problem-solving and the lack of teachers’ initiative to carry out sustainable professional development. The low quality of SMK was due to the lack of graduates who were able to obtain competency certificates from the Professional Certification Institute, the poor management of the production unit/business center/techno park, and the lack of teachers who apply the results of training in the learning process. Mutu antar provinsi sangat bervariasi. Provinsi DKI memiliki jumlah peringkat A terbanyak sedangkan terendah adalah NTT. Komponen mutu guru memiliki skor paling rendah dibandingkan tiga komponen lainnya.

Abstract

Lead is a highly toxic metal that occurs naturally in the environment, but its extensive use by humans has significantly increased exposure levels and the associated risks to human health. This study aims to assess lead concentration in soil contaminated by used lead acid batteries (ULABs) and to evaluate community knowledge regarding lead and its health impacts in the Cinangka and Cinangneng Villages. This research is descriptive in nature. The lead concentration data was obtained from the RPFLH records of Bogor Regency in 2023, with 125 measurement points in Cinangka Village and 13 points in Cinangneng Village. For the community knowledge aspect, a questionnaire was administered to 76 respondents using an accidental sampling method. The findings reveal that the highest lead concentrations in both Cinangka and Cinangneng Villages have surpassed the TK-A limit, with total concentrations of 7,093.80 mg/kg in Cinangka Village and 7,307.35 mg/kg in Cinangneng Village, classifying the land as B3 waste category 1. Furthermore, while general public knowledge about the impacts and classifications of used battery waste is relatively high, awareness regarding the locations of contamination, methods for avoiding exposure, and the direct pollution in their environment remains low.

Abstract

The Bogor City Government seeks to regulate the implementation of environmental protection and management in accordance with the principles of environmental protection and management and is guided by higher statutory regulations as stipulated in regional regulations. Re-examine Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 to ensure that these regional regulations are in accordance with established standards, plans, and norms. The approach used in this research is the evaluation of statutory regulations, which includes an inventory of materials, the evaluation of statutory regulations using six dimensions in which there are several variables and assessment indicators, and formulating recommendations to provide solutions to existing problems in statutory regulations. The assessment of Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning Environmental Protection and Management refers to several dimensions of evaluation of statutory regulations resulting in a recommendation, namely that this statutory regulations is urgently revoked and needs to be included in the long list of the 5-year Prolegda for its replacement statutory regulations. Several statutory regulations have become material for evaluating Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning related environmental protection and management, especially since the Central Government issued a policy regarding job creation. It is recommended that an academic manuscript be prepared on the Draft Regional Regulations for the City of Bogor concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management.

Abstract

The phenomenon of environmental damage is a very serious global issue and an increasingly complex problem. This damage is due to the exploitation of excess economic value without considering future sustainability (over exploitation). This happened after humans practiced the capitalist economy while ignoring Islamic values. Various efforts to overcome this environmental damage have been carried out, including various policies and regulations that regulate human activities in interacting with their environment as measured by the achievements of SDG's (Sustainable Development Goal's). Experts have also tried various applications of concepts and theories as well as models of approaches and technologies that are possible to overcome the problem. These efforts so far have not significantly paid off, in fact, tending to increase the level of environmental damage. The idea of returning to the application of religious values and spirituality is one of the alternatives that needs to be applied through a holistic approach. The purpose of writing this article is to develop a model of the role of Islamic society in environmental management and sustainable development. Exploratory methods are used to map the role of Islamic communities in environmental restoration and rehabilitation movements, eco-islamic boarding school, and non-governmental organizations that are active in the community and also through Islamic dawah content. The results showed that there is a significant role that can be used as a role model, so that it can be replicated by other Islamic societies around the world.
