Abstract

If you want to fully understand the ecosystem surrounding AI-driven robotics in pediatric neurorehabilitation, you need to carefully look at many interconnected aspects and think critically about what they mean. We address this review to facilitate an in-depth analysis of the effective integration of advanced technologies, such as artificial emotional intelligence and interactive reinforcement learning, into rehabilitation practices. By critically assessing each element, from the psychological dynamics of patient engagement to the technical intricacies of real-time adaptive learning systems, we can better understand their pivotal roles in enhancing therapeutic efficacy. Moreover, the inclusion of natural language processing and facial expression analysis warrants careful consideration, as it sets the stage for more nuanced interactions between robots and pediatric patients, thereby fostering a therapeutic environment that is both responsive and empathetic. A thorough examination not only highlights the potential benefits but also the ethical and practical challenges associated with these technologies. By putting these different parts into a critical framework, we ensure that we have a complete picture of the opportunities and limitations in this new field. Our ultimate goal is to improve rehabilitation outcomes for kids with neurological problems while keeping an eye out for any unintended effects.

Abstract

In this paper, we aim to review current methods of energy harvesting, focusing on piezoelectric energy. To optimize the use of piezoelectric devices in applications, a model is needed to observe the performance generated from piezoelectricity. To achieve better performance, the rectifier and capacitor systems are connected to a boost converter circuit. Another method is to use the Synchronized Switch Harvesting Inductor (SSHI) method. This method implements a stand-alone switching technique based on transistors and rectifier diodes and does not require an external power supply. This research creates an electric energy harvesting floor device by utilizing piezoelectricity in the form of a harvester, which aims to find out how piezoelectric works and to obtain a circuit with the most efficient characteristics as a piezoelectric power generator using SSHI and a boost converter. This study compares the characteristics of series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits on the floor of the most optimal piezoelectric energy harvester to generate voltage. The results of the data collection were based on the number of steps on the floor of the 16-piece piezoelectric energy harvester with a series-parallel circuit configuration connected with an SSHI circuit and without an SSHI circuit. In this test, the resulting voltage output is a DC voltage with an input step of 60 times the step on piezoelectricity. In this paper, an energy harvester using the SSHI circuit provides a more stable voltage on the harvester floor than a boost converter by providing 16 piezoelectric pieces arranged in series parallel. A floor energy harvester with a series-parallel configuration connected to SSHI gets the most optimal result compared to using a boost converter.

Abstract

Due to the increasing trend in worldwide energy consumption, many new energy technology systems have emerged in the past decades. The implementation of energy storage system (ESS) technology in energy harvesting systems is significant to achieve flexibility and reliability in fulfilling the load demands. In this paper, several types of energy storage technologies available in the market are discussed to view their benefits and drawbacks. The main aim of this review is to provide a platform for readers especially those who seek to know more about ESS at a glance, to decide which ESS technology is best suited for any specific applications. This review would serve as a base for the initial state to make the right decision by referring to the criterias and characteristics of energy resources to get the optimal ESS technology. A comprehensive comparison among the various types of ESS technologies is outlined and elaborated to provide a better and clearer picture to the readers. Last but not least, the relevant recommendations and alternative choices for services related to the harvesting of solar PV energy are described too. It is hoped that the findings of this review article may be helpful to all readers interested in ESS technology.

Abstract

In this research, we intend to build a floor-based power plant that produces energy using a mechanical generator drive. The drive system uses a two-gear transmission system with a different number of teeth, resulting in varying torque and speed. The large gear will stick directly to the floor, causing it to spin when the floor is stepped on, and then the small gear will spin the generator quickly. The buck and boost selector systems are powered by fluctuating voltage from the generator. If the voltage produced by the generator is greater than 5 V, the system will reduce it; otherwise, the system will increase the voltage. This selector system uses several modifications of the current circuit between rectifiers, which function to rectify the generator output when the generator rotation changes, a voltage divider is useful for dividing the generator output voltage. The pressure before and after the selector system was measured by applying force on the floor to 15 people with varying loads. The result shows that the buck and boost selector system can work properly, and the nominal output voltage of the generator is around 5 V as needed.

Abstract

The role of electric vehicles (EVs) is very important in the coming years because of their environmental friendliness and ability to absorb excess electricity from renewable energy sources (RES). Charging EVs will have an immediate negative impact on the power grid. EV smart charging provides a solution to these problems. For sustainable energy management, smart charging technology offers significant advantages in terms of faster charging times and optimized grid usage. By leveraging advanced algorithms and real-time communication capabilities, smart chargers enhance the efficiency, convenience, and environmental sustainability of EV charging infrastructure. Constant-current (CC) and constant-voltage (CV) technologies are essential components of smart charging systems, contributing to improved charging efficiency, battery safety, and grid stability. By regulating the charging process and optimizing power flow, these technologies play a crucial role in advancing the adoption of EVs and promoting sustainable energy management. When advanced CC-CV technologies are added to smart charging systems, the whole paradigm changes. Charging efficiency goes up by 40%, charging time goes down by 50%, and the grid's impact is reduced by 50% through better energy distribution.

Abstract

Garasi merupakan bagian rumah tempat menyimpan mobil maupun kendaraan pribadi lainnya. Pekerjaan membuka dan menutup pintu garasi pada umumnya dilakukan secara manual, hal ini cukup merepotkan karena pengendara harus masuk dan keluar mobil untuk menutup garasinya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, pada paper ini diusulkan cara untuk melakukan otomatisasi pada pintu gerbang garasi dengan menerapkan sistem kendali berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem IoT dalam bentuk prototipe untuk membuka dan menutup pintu gerbang garasi menggunakan aplikasi Ubidots IoT Cloud Platform. Perangkat yang digunakan dalam merancang sistem pintu gerbang garasi pintar berbasis IoT cloud platform dibagi menjadi beberapa bagian, yaitu bagian input, proses, dan output. Bagian input terdiri dari tombol buka dan tutup yang terdapat pada smartphone, bagian proses terdiri dari mikrokontroler NodeMCU esp8266, dan bagian output terdiri dari motor stepper, relay dan solenoid. Setelah dilakukan implementasi dan analisis hasil pengujian, sistem yang dirancang dapat bekerja dengan baik secara keseluruhan dimulai dari koneksi ke Wi-Fi, komunikasi dengan aplikasi Ubidots, serta mekanisme otomatisasinya.Keyword: garasi pintar, IoT, otomatisasi, Ubidots

Abstract

Pertanian adalah kegiatan pemanfaatan sumber daya hayati yang dilakukan manusia untuk menghasilkan bahan pangan, bahan baku industri, atau sumber energi, tetapi produktivitas pertanian masih jauh dari harapan. Salah satu faktor penyebab kurangnya produktivitas pertanian adalah sumber daya manusia yang masih rendah dalam mengolah lahan pertanian dan perawatannya. Mayoritas petani masih menggunakan sistem manual dalam pengolahan lahan dan perawatanya, sehingga hasil yang didaptkan kurang masksimal. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut di rancanag robot agrikultur. Robot agrikultur dikembangkan bertujuan untuk menggantikan tugas petani atau pekerja di pertanian dengan lebih efektif. Dengan adanya robot di sektor agrikultur bisa meminimalisir biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk pekerja. Metode yang digunakan sangat sederhana yaitu menggunakan Ubidots IoT Cloud Platform yang dimana metode ini dapat digunakan dengan jarak jauh tanpa harus terjun ke lokasi pertanian. Cara penggunaannya yaitu dikontrol melalui Smartphone. Hasil pengujian, respon sistem yang dihasilkan sangat baik dengan maksimal respon yang diberikan 1 second. Pengujian jarak secara bervariasi yaitu antara jarak 200meter sampai dengan 9200 meter dengan respon keberhasilan 100%.Keyword: NodeMcu, Ubidots, Pertanian, Smartphone, Internet of things

Abstract

The agricultural irrigation system is extremely important. For optimal harvest yields, farmers must manage rice plant quality by monitoring water, soil, and temperature on agricultural fields. If market demand rises, traditional rice field irrigation in Indonesia will make things harder for farmers. This modern era requires a system that lets farmers monitor and regulate agricultural fields anywhere, anytime. We need a solution that can control the irrigation system remotely using an internet of things (IoT) device and a smartphone. This study employed the Ubidots IoT cloud platform. In addition, the study uses soil moisture and temperature sensors to monitor conditions in agricultural regions, while pumps function as irrigation systems. The test results indicate the proper design of the system. Each trial collected data. The pump will turn on and off automatically based on soil moisture criteria, with the pump active while the soil moisture is less than 20% and deactivated when the soil moisture exceeds 20%. In simulation mode, the pump operates for an average of 0–5 seconds of watering. The monitoring system shows the current soil temperature and moisture levels. Temperature sensors respond in 1-3 seconds, whereas soil moisture sensors respond in 0–4 seconds.

Abstract

The smart e-bike ecosystem, a combination of internet of things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), has transformed urban mobility. This study aims to shed light on the transformative potential of the smart e-bike ecosystem in the context of urban transportation solutions. It includes real-time navigation, crash detection, and a smart electric drive to encourage sustainable practices and reduce reliance on traditional vehicles. The use of smart locks and parking beacon systems creates a safe and efficient urban infrastructure, encouraging e-bike use. This approach reduces traffic congestion and carbon emissions. IoT frameworks in smart e-bikes improve the user experience and contribute to urban mobility solutions. Real-time monitoring of critical parameters, such as battery levels, speed, and maintenance requirements, keeps riders informed and safe at all times. IoT-enabled features, such as navigation assistance, shorten travel times and improve the efficiency of urban transportation systems. The evolution of smart e-bikes is consistent with the anticipated improvements of 6G networks, which promise to transform communication infrastructures. AI-powered features such as real-time navigation and crash detection make rides safer. The use of smart electric drives and cloud server technology promotes a data-driven approach to transportation. Future research and development should look into the use of advanced localization techniques to improve user experience while addressing accuracy and energy consumption issues.

Abstract

In 2023, crime cases in Indonesia reached 105,133. Cases of theft with aggravation dominate the majority of cases. Everyone is concerned about safety, but doors are typically opened and closed using physical keys. This is vulnerable to being tampered with with fake keys, which can lead to house break-ins and theft. In this research, we propose a fingerprint-based wireless door lock design using Arduino and a smartphone. We offer this solution as a preventive measure to reduce the high rate of theft in homes or other buildings. The devices used are Arduino UNO R3, fingerprint sensor, HC-05 Bluetooth module, buzzer, and door lock solenoid. The results of the fingerprint-based wireless door lock using Arduino and a smartphone can function well, with an average response time of 1.20 seconds. Furthermore, testing the HC-05 Bluetooth when sending signals to a smartphone shows that it can read data accurately with an average response time of 1.54 seconds.
