Abstract

The development of rural areas into sub-district regions in Subang Regency necessitates improvements in transportation infrastructure to support community mobility and agricultural product distribution. One important road segment that requires development is the Wantilan – Cipeundeuy Sub-district. This study aims to analyze the conformity of road geometric design based on the Road Geometric Design Guidelines (PDGJ, 2021), determine pavement layer thickness according to the Pavement Design Manual (MDP, 2024), and estimate construction cost requirements. The methods employed include primary and secondary data collection, geometric analysis, pavement design analysis, and cost estimation. Field data indicate that the 2 km road segment contains three main horizontal curves with a design speed of 80 km/h and a superelevation value of 6%. The calculation results show a curve radius of 252 meters with deflection angles ranging from 3,69˚ to 5,54˚, which comply with thw requirements of PDGJ 2021. The subgrade soil has a California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value of 6,5%, classified as medium bearing capacity soil. The pavement structure design consists of an HRS-BC surface layer, a 200 mm Class A aggregate base course, and a 200 mm Class A aggregate subbase course. The design life of the road is set at 12 years with an average annual rainfall of 1,500 – 1,800 mm. Based on the analysis results, the proposed geometric conditions and pavement design meet technical standards and are feasible to improve road user comfort and safety.

Abstract

Road infrastructure is one of the main components in supporting urban transportation systems. Roads that are well managed can increase mobility efficiency, improve connectivity between areas, and support equitable development. This study was conducted on Jalan Kanggraksan No. 23, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City, West Java, which functions as a primary collector road and has experienced a decline in road quality as a result of high traffic loads. The purpose of this project is to analyze the geometric conditions of the road, determine the required thickness of the pavement layer, and calculate the estimated cost of rehabilitation. The research methods include collecting primary data in the form of average daily traffic surveys (ADT) and secondary data such as traffic growth, design speed, CBR values, rainfall, and pavement material types. Geometric analysis is carried out based on the standards of the Directorate General of Highways using AutoCAD Civil 3D software modelling, including terrain classification, horizontal and vertical bend calculations, superelevation, and sight distance. The results of the analysis show that the ±2.5 km road section has three bends with significant elevation variations, requiring geometric design adjustments to improve safety. A CBR value of 6.5 and annual rainfall of 1900–2500 mm necessitate the use of HRS-BC material with CTB and LFA class A foundations. Pavement thickness analysis resulted in recommendations for a layered structure with a planned lifespan of 12 years, while project cost estimates provided a comprehensive planning basis for sustainable development in the city of Cirebon.

Abstract

Street Kopi Luhur, located in Argasunya Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City, is a local road that plays a strategic role as the main access for residents to housing areas and centers of local economic activity. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. Primary data were obtained through direct field surveys, including visual inspections and measurements of pavement conditions, while secondary data were collected from relevant local government agencies. The analysis of pavement conditions was conducted using the Road Condition Index (RCI) method to determine the level of damage, whereas traffic performance was evaluated based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI, 2023) to determine the Level of Service (LOS) and the Degree of Saturation (Dj). The results indicate that the pavement condition of Street Kopi Luhur is generally categorized as moderate to severely damaged, with an average RCI value of 53, corresponding to a class D service level. The dominant forms of pavement distress include longitudinal cracking, potholes, and surface unevenness. These damages are mainly caused by inadequate drainage systems, high traffic loads, and limited maintenance activities. Furthermore, the Degree of Saturation (Dj) value of 0.79 shows that the road segment is approaching congested conditions, leading to reduced service performance. Based on these findings, recommended improvement measures include rehabilitation of the pavement structure using HRS-WC and Cement Treated Base (CTB) layers, enhancement of the roadside drainage system, and the implementation of a community-based periodic maintenance program.

Abstract

Nyi Ageng Serang Road is an important access road connecting several areas in Cirebon Regency. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the horizontal and vertical geometric elements of Nyi Ageng Serang Road, particularly in the segment from STA 0+000 to STA 2+000, against the applicable road planning standards, namely Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 19/PRT/M/2011 concerning Technical Requirements for Roads and Technical Planning for Roads. The research method used was a direct survey in the field to obtain primary data in the form of horizontal curve data, vertical slope, and other existing road geometric conditions. In addition, secondary data was obtained through literature studies and relevant supporting technical documents. The analysis was conducted by comparing existing geometric parameters, such as curve radius, transition curve length, maximum slope, and stopping sight distance, with applicable road technical standards, taking into account the planned speed according to road classification. The analysis results showed that several geometric elements on the road section from STA 0+000 to STA 2+000 did not fully meet planning standards. The discrepancies found include horizontal curve radii that are smaller than the minimum requirements, the presence of inadequate transition curves, and vertical gradients that exceed the maximum limits. These conditions have the potential to reduce the safety, comfort, and efficiency of road users' journeys. These findings are expected to form the basis for recommendations for road improvements in the future.

Abstract

The rapid development of infrastructure in Indonesia has not been matched by adequate attention to building maintenance activities. Many buildings experience deterioration before reaching their intended service life due to weak maintenance management, particularly in terms of human resources (HR). Worker performance plays a crucial role in maintenance success and is influenced by various factors, including discipline, motivation, work environment, training, ability, and tools. This study aims to analyze the influence of HR aspects and the work environment on worker performance quality in building maintenance projects at PT. XYZ, as well as to evaluate the importance and performance levels of each indicator using a combined method. A quantitative approach was applied using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS 3.0 software. Additionally, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) was employed to identify improvement priorities. The results indicate that among the six variables, only discipline has a positive and significant impact on Worker Performance (path coefficient = 0.243; T = 2.026; P = 0.043). Other variables, including the Work Environment, were not statistically significant. Mediation analysis revealed an indirect effect of the Work Environment on Discipline and Motivation (coefficient = 0.281; T = 1.921; P = 0.055). Discipline is the most dominant factor in improving performance, while enhancing training and work environment remains essential as a long-term managerial strategy. IPA identified training-related indicators and supervisor motivation support as top priorities for improvement.
