Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital era has raised a variety of ethical issues that urgently need to be addressed wisely. In Indonesia, Pancasila as the foundation of the state has significant potential to become an ethical foundation in the development of responsible and humanity-oriented AI. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, examining various academic sources, such as relevant journals, books, and scientific articles. The analysis was conducted through content analysis techniques and reinforced with source triangulation to ensure the validity of the data. The results showed that the values of each precept in Pancasila are highly relevant to the ethical principles of AI, such as moral and spiritual responsibility reflected in the first precept, respect for human rights in the second precept, and the importance of democratization of technology and equitable distribution of benefits stated in the fourth and fifth precepts. Therefore, the integration of Pancasila values in every stage of AI development and application is crucial. This is so that the resulting technology is not only technically superior, but also reflects justice, inclusiveness, and commitment to human values. Collaboration between government, academia, industry, and society is the key to making Indonesia a pioneer in ethical and humanist AI development.

Abstract

In the current digital era, technological advances have brought considerable changes, which can be seen in the way individuals gather information, interact, and play an active role in social life. The concept of citizenship is no longer limited to the physical world, but has expanded to the digital. In the digital sphere, everyone has rights and obligations, including maintaining communication ethics, protecting personal privacy and others, and taking part in more positive activities. As in the Islamic view, in the digital world, people must always participate and be based on sharia principles, such as honesty, responsibility, and respect for the rights of others. This study aims to examine the role of digital citizenship in the perspective of Islamic law, which uses a qualitative approach and normative analysis. The results of this study also show that there are several aspects that are influential in the digital era such as the importance of protecting personal data as part of the main objective of sharia, maintaining communication ethics by prioritizing the principles of politeness and honesty, and preventing the spread of hoax information. Islam also strongly emphasizes the importance of hate speech and bullying among virtual communities. In addition, freedom of expression in the digital sphere must be accompanied by moral responsibility to anticipate conflicts. With this understanding, Muslims are expected to contribute to creating a digital space that is safer, healthier, harmonious, and in accordance with sharia teachings

The phenomenon of dual citizenship has become increasingly relevant in the context of globalization and high human mobility. This article examines the dynamics of dual citizenship from the perspectives of law and state sovereignty, which often give rise to challenges such as jurisdictional conflicts, double taxation, and uncertainty regarding individuals’ legal status. From the standpoint of sovereignty, dual citizenship presents dilemmas of loyalty, potential foreign intervention, and difficulties for the state in monitoring and protecting its citizens. This study employs a normative juridical approach supported by empirical data, analyzing statutory regulations and literature from books, journals, and relevant articles. The findings show that dual citizenship policies vary across countries, influenced by their respective national interests in terms of security, politics, and economics. In conclusion, to address the complexity of this phenomenon, dual citizenship policies should be designed to balance the protection of individual rights with national interests, supported by adaptive regulations that preserve legal stability and national sovereignty.

Abstract

The rights and obligations of citizens in Islam are fundamental aspects that emphasize the balance between individual responsibilities and the protection provided by the state. This study analyzes the concept of citizens' rights and obligations in Islam based on the Charter of Medina and modern constitutions. The Charter of Medina, a historical document drafted by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), provides an early depiction of citizenship principles in Islam, such as equal rights, religious freedom, and the duty to maintain national security. Meanwhile, modern constitutions, although based on secular or nationalist principles, still adopt some universal values aligned with Islamic teachings, such as social justice, human rights, and political participation. This study employs a qualitative method with a historical and normative analytical approach to compare how these two documents define citizens' rights and obligations. The findings reveal that the Charter of Medina established the foundation for an inclusive concept of citizenship that emphasizes cooperation among various societal groups. On the other hand, modern constitutions expand individual rights through more detailed legal instruments. However, challenges arise when there is an imbalance in the implementation of rights and obligations, particularly in Muslim-majority countries that apply Islamic law partially or selectively. In conclusion, there is continuity between the principles found in the Charter of Medina and modern constitutions in guaranteeing citizens' rights and obligations. However, effective implementation requires a balance between Islamic values and democratic principles to ensure that citizens' rights are protected without neglecting their obligations to the state and society.

Abstract

Indonesia's digital economy is rapidly growing with the emergence of e-commerce, fintech, and blockchain technology that facilitate cross-border transactions. However, challenges such as technological access inequality, personal data exploitation, and multinational company dominance remain major concerns. Therefore, implementing Pancasila values in digital economy governance is crucial to ensuring social justice, consumer protection, and national competitiveness. Pancasila principles, such as moral-based business ethics, consumer rights protection, digital sovereignty, and participatory regulation, must be integrated into digital economic policies. Additionally, electronic commerce regulations based on international law should align with national interests to balance digital economic growth and constitutional rights protection. Thus, Pancasila-based digital economic policies can promote inclusivity, strengthen SMEs' competitiveness, and ensure the broader welfare of society.
