Abstract

This study aims to develop an EtnoSTEM-based Pop-Up Book learning media on the material of cube and beam spaces to improve the mathematical understanding of fourth grade elementary school students. The research method used is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDN Wanajaya 04 Bekasi Regency. The research instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and mathematical understanding tests. The validation results show that the EtnoSTEM-based Pop-Up Book learning media is in the very feasible category from the aspects of material, language, and media. Student and teacher responses to the use of media are in the very practical category. The test results showed an increase in students' mathematical understanding after using the learning media, with the acquisition of N-Gain scores in the medium to high category. Thus, the EtnoSTEM-based Pop-Up Book media is effectively used in learning building space to improve mathematical understanding of elementary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess the level of mathematical understanding among fourth-grade students regarding the material on fractions. Issues arise due to the lack of interactive learning media and the lack of enthusiasm from students during the learning process, resulting in low student motivation and subpar learning outcomes. Therefore, the aim of this research is to develop learning media, which is created in the form of a card game featuring numbers that makes mathematical concepts more concrete and interactive. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method utilizing the ADDIE model through the following five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study are 30 students from class IV D at SDN Sukaresmi 06, selected using saturated sampling techniques. Data was collected through expert validation, pretests, posttests, and feedback from teachers and students. The research findings indicate that the media is highly effective, practical.

Abstract

The problem-solving abilities of fourth-grade elementary school students at SDN Mekarmukti 01 are still relatively low due to the lack of engaging and interactive learning media. This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of Domino Cards based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to improve elementary school students' problem-solving abilities in the multiplication of whole numbers topic in fourth-grade elementary school. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research instrument included a validation questionnaire from media experts with a score of 1.00, from material experts with a score of 1.00, and from language experts with a score of 1.00, categorizing it as "very good" or suitable for use in ESD-based mathematics learning on whole number multiplication in fourth-grade elementary school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang berbasis Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Metode yang dipakai adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Hegarmukti 02 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai terbuka yang mengukur empat aspek berpikir kritis, yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Data dianalisis melalui uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji Mann-Whitney, serta perhitungan N-gain. Hasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol (p < 0,05), dengan kelompok eksperimen mencatat skor rata-rata post-test lebih tinggi. Nilai N-gain kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,5254 tergolong sedang dan lebih unggul dibandingkan kelompok kontrol yang sebesar 0,3456. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan CTL berbasis ESD efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan relevan dengan isu keberlanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan inkuiri dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas IV sekolah dasar. Secara khusus, penelitian ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pendekatan inkuiri dalam pembelajaran matematika serta dampaknya terhadap perkembangan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design yang melibatkan dua kelas IV Sekolah Dasar, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri dalam pembelajaran matematika, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kritis berbasis soal cerita operasi hitung dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Information dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-2 sampel , dan perhitungan gain score untuk mengetahui efektivitas peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil dari uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,003 (<0,05), yang dimana terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Mean Rank kelompok eksperimen (18,58) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (18,58), dengan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan inkuiri efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang dimana sejalan dengan teori Gestalt (Koffa).

Abstract

The development of technology in modern times today in the era of the 21st century, is experiencing very rapid development. Technology has a very important role for everyone. The use of technology as a learning tool is needed by educators. But the problem is that not all educators use technology as a means of learning, there are several factors that influence this. The utilization of technology as a learning medium is intended to make learning in the classroom more effective and efficient, and to make students happy and enthusiastic in learning because learning is not only based on books. This research aims to find out and see whether this technology-based learning media is effectively used by educators in the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. In this study, researchers used a qualitative method with the type of literature study and observation conducted through classroom observations and interviews with one of the SDIT Al-Fath teachers in Cibitung. And from the results of the research that has been done, it states that technology-based learning media is very effective in being used by educators in the teaching and learning process. In this sophisticated era, it is expected that educators use technology as a means of learning in accordance with the times and the needs of their students.

Abstract

The low level of literacy and numeracy skills among primary school students remains a major challenge in improving educational quality. One strategic effort to address this issue is through the development of a text-rich ecosystem integrated into classroom learning. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies in designing and implementing a text-rich ecosystem to support students’ literacy and numeracy skills. The program employed a participatory and collaborative approach through training, workshops, mentoring, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants consisted of 17 primary school teachers selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding, indicated by an increase in the average pre-test score from 62.1 to 86.3 in the post-test, with an N-Gain score of 0.64 categorized as moderate. In addition, teachers were able to develop and implement text-rich environments in classrooms, such as reading corners, numeracy posters, and text-based learning media, which positively impacted students’ engagement and participation in learning. Therefore, mentoring teachers in developing a text-rich ecosystem is proven to be effective in improving teacher competence and supporting more meaningful literacy and numeracy learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media komik bermuatan ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) yang berguna untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi KPK dan FPB di sekolah dasar. Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi validasi tim ahli, angket respon guru dan siswa serta tes pretest dan posttest. Hasil validasi menunjukkan kelayakan media yang sangat tinggi dengan perolehan CVI sebesar 1.00. Kepraktisan media ditujukkan oleh respon guru (94%) dan siswa (90%). Efektivitas media dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya hasil  posttest dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,79 yang termasuk kedalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, ,maka media komik bermuatan ESD dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektuf digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi Pendidikan abad 21 terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis sebagai kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa. Namun kemampuan berpikir kritis di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran konvensional seperti ceramah, kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran, dan terkesan monoton. Sehingga peneliti termotivasi untuk melakukan pengembangan media Ultakabi berbasis pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian ADDIE. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa kelas II pada Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Bekasi. Teknik pengambilan data yang dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, angket, dan tes. Sementara teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif (deskriptif statistik, uji normalitas, uji N-Gain, dan uji-t) dan pendekatan kualitatif (tematik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Utakabi layak digunakan dengan hasil S-CVI sebesar 1.00 dari ketiga ahli, praktis digunakan dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 93,25% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan persentase N-Gain sebesar 68,18% dengan kategori cukup efektif untuk digunakan dalam mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Ultakabi berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching efektif, layak, dan praktis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Disarankan agar pengembangan media ini diperluas untuk materi dan jenjang kelas yang berbeda.

Abstract

Climate change education at the primary school level has gained increasing scholarly attention in recent years; however, a systematic mapping of its research landscape remains limited. This study aims to analyze publication trends, scientific contributions, thematic structures, and the evolution of research topics in climate change education in primary schools. A bibliometric approach was employed using data retrieved from the Scopus database covering the period 2012–2025. The search was conducted using specific keywords related to climate change, education, and primary schools, followed by a PRISMA-based selection process. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel for descriptive statistics, VOSviewer for keyword co-occurrence and network visualization, and Biblioshiny for collaboration and thematic mapping analysis. The findings indicate a significant growth in publications after 2020, with contributions dominated by European and English-speaking countries, although participation from Asia and Africa has increased. Thematic analysis reveals a shift from studies focusing on physical and health impacts toward more pedagogical and participatory approaches, including environmental citizenship and students’ emotional engagement. Overall, the field demonstrates a transition toward a more holistic orientation that positions primary schools as strategic spaces for strengthening climate literacy and sustainability competencies.
