This research was aimed to estimate of profit, know determinant factors of profit, and measure farm risk level. The research location was determined purposive in Sambirejo village, Selupu Rejang district of Rejang Lebong region. 34 sample was using by simple random sampling method. Summed uply sample counted 34 responder people. Data used were primary and secondary data then analysed qualitative and also quantitative. The analyzed method that used to see the stock of production factors used descriptive method. Analyzed data to profit that was total of revenue less the total cost. Profit function of UOP Cobb Douglas used to know influence of production factors to profit. Coefficient variation used to measure farm risk level. Result of this research showed that, the average of farmer’s profit from the bitter mustard farming in sambirejo village, rejang lebong region on planting season of May/Juni are Rp.914.382,33/farm or Rp.4.747.964,79/Ha, and planting season of Feb/Maret are Rp.1.025.509,72/farm or Rp.6.698.378,53/Ha. Variable which influenced negatively and significantly on profit function of bitter mustard farming in sambirejo village, Selupu Rejang district of Rejang Lebong region on planting season of Feb/Maret and May/Juni are the land fare (X8*), production amount (X9*) and dummy variable (season plant). whereas, variables which influenced negatively and unsignificantly are the price of seed (X1*), the price of urea (X2*), but the price of dursban (X5*) influence positively and also has tendency to increase the profit of bitter mustard profit. The lowest value of risk (CV) or the level of risk on bitter mustard farming at Feb Maret is 0,50 or 50 percent with the bottom limit of profit (L) as Rp.-32.654,07/Ha. And at May/Juni is 0,57 or 57 percent with the bottom limit of profit as Rp.-691.212,19/Ha.Key word : Profit function, Farming risk

Retailer demand on Brastagi orange is derivate from consumers demand or people in Bengkulu city. On the other hand, there were some factors that influenced demand of Brastagi orange on retailers themselves beside influencing by factor from consumer, like: the number of Brastagi orange that ordered or bought by retailer in the last month, the price of Brastagi orange bought in this month, the price of Brastagi orange in the retailer in this month, the price of Brastagi orange on the retailer in the last month, the price of Bengkulu (local) orange in the retailer, the number of Brastagi orange that ordered or bought by consumers in the last month, capital and dummy of place for retailers. Descriptive analysis was shows that the biggest number of month ordered of Brastagi orange is the demand of Brastagi Orange on AB type in awning retailer, on the other side the biggest demand for Brastagi orange from the retailer without awning is on super type with the source of the whole buying from the agent in Bengkulu City. The system of payment from the agent is pay after sale. The result of data analysis and hypothesis test (t test) shows that the price of retailer Brastagi Orange order in this month (X1), capital (X3), the number of Brastagi orange that bought in the last month (x4t-1), and dummy of trade location (D) were influenced or significant as partial on Brastagi orange retailer demand . On the other side, the price of Bengkulu Local orange (X2) was not influence on retailer demand on retailer Brastagi orange. The result of the income analysis were shows that the amount of income from Brastagi orange retailer with awning per month and the income of the Brastagi orange retailer without awning month. However, the result of analysis from statistic test shows that different of income retailer with awning compare to retailer without awning was not significant.

Tobacco was one of priority commodity in Rejang Lebong district to develop, its supported by suitable micro climate and farmer behavior so long. The research were objected to analyze the influencing factors on produdion and minimum economic scale of tobacco farming system at Rejang Lebong District. These tried to answer thorugh the cob-douglas and break even point analyses. The research showed that area (x 1), TSP fertilizer (x3), ZA fertlizer (x4) significantly influence to tobacco production. Minimum economic scale of tobacco farming system around 0.07 ha but farmers scale about 0.49 ha. It meaned that farmet tobacco were already in comerdal/economic scale. Improving the prcxluction could be attained thorugh extensification and intesification . extensification in the way of extended the croping area, while intesification by improving fertilizers of TSP and ZA to optimal level of usage. others factors should be another farmer focus to increas prcxluction such quality of seed, integrated and environmental pestici~e and so forth.

Plantation of coconut under farmer cultivation have two processing status owner and share-fanner processor. This research target was to know the level of eamings and business efficiency of owner fanner and processor farmer and to describe marketing channel fonn and marketing margin. Method for calculating the efflciency was RIC ratio analysis, while to test the difference of efficiency among actots W8I9 used statistical test u(Mann -Whitney test). The general objective of the study was to estimate technical efficiency of farmers under Bengkulu Regional Development Project (BRDP) through Unit Pengelola Keuangan Desa (UPKD) of com farmers' practice in Suka Pindah, Lubuk Pinang Sub-district, Bengkulu Province. Suka Pindah was choosen by purposive method because this area one of the production center for com in Bengkulu Province. The research was conducted on December 2003, using a total of 30 respondents chosen by simple random sampling from 138 farmers. The stochastic frontier production function estimation using MLE showed that seed and labour had positive significant influence on the value of the output. Nitrogen (urea) coefficient had negative sign but this was not Significant. SP36, KGf, Herbidde and UPKD had positive sign, but these were not significant. The average of technical efficiency was 70 % for the com farmers'in Suka Pindah, it's mean that there is chance to increase the effiCiency around 30 % more compare to the best farmers' practices.

The hypothesis of the study were capital, coffee price, labor wages, and price of fertifizers significantfy influence demand for labor in coffee estate management at Padang Ulak Tanding sub district, Rejang Lebong regency. The cobb-douglas model was used for elaborating the objectives. The results significantly show that demand for labor was influenced by capital, labor wages; price of coffee in nurse ring while price of fertilizers was not In the planting, capital and price of fertilizers were influence the demand for labor while labor wages and price of coffee were not. Capital and labor wages significantly influenced the demand for labor while price of coffee and fertilizers were not in the maintaining activities. Price of coffee and capital influence the demand for labor but labor wages and price of fertilizers are not. Government has had to serious attention in terms of technical and management assistances through special programs in improving the best production and productivity.

This study aims to determine the main criterion used in marketing strategies and the strategies marketing appropriate and effective in marketing black tea brands “Alam Dempo’’ on CV. Karya Sejahtera. The primary data was obtained from interviews and secondary data obtained from the data from of the company, regulations, and others data from the related agencies. The data was analyzed by using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) with Application Expert Choice 11. The results of research show that the criteria becomes main priority election marketing strategies black tea was is competitor with weight 0.385. This occurred due to large number of business contractors packaging black tea other products. To alternate top priority marketing strategies was chosen by method AHP is promotion strategy with weight 0,360.

The research aims to identify patterns of relationships patron-client in Tambak RejoVillage, to analyze internal and exsternal factors which is an aspect of theopportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses in the development Gapokdakan in Tambak Rejo Village, Formulating alternative development strategies Gapokdakan in Tambak Rejo Village. The type of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained by direct observation and interviews in depth about gapokdakan and secondary data from the literature books, articles, court documentation etc. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis to determine the pattern of patronclient, a SWOT analysis to look at the search for and review of internal and external factors to determine a good decision, whereas for determining the position of developmental conditions Gapokdakan that the formulation matrix IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation ) and matrix EFE (External Factor Evaluation). The results of this research is the patron-client that occurred in the Tambak Rejo village is lending system capital provided by middlemen to farmers in the form of fish feed, but this kind of relationship there are times when farmers in disadvantaged because of the incompatibility of fish price per kilogram, and the price increase feed if borrowed from brokers, on the other hand the benefits that the convenience of farmers to capital, marketing is assured, and farmers can continue farming fish. SWOT analysis for the IFE and EFE matrix is internal factor the highest strength is the availability of the fish pond, the highest weaknesses are internal factors that are difficult or capital financing farmers, the results of internal factors evaluation matrix, internal factor of gapokdakan is good. External factors greatest opportunities, namely the potential of tilapia hatchery in the Tambak Rejo village, as well as external factors are the biggest threat is the virus tilapia. There are two alternative development strategies Gapokdakan in Tambak Rejo, one of the strategic alternatives that Increase production with facilities and infrastructure and maintain the quality so that production can always meet existing market. The objective of the research were to : (1) calculate and analyze the value added generated from the banana processing bussiness Sari Gizi Kamiso Karto in Curup Tengah Sub-District of Rejang Lebong Regency, (2) know and analyze the sustainability level of banana processing Bussiness Sari Gizi Kamiso Karto in Curup Tengah SubDistrict Of Rejang Lebong Regency. The research were used primary data and secondary data. Data analysis included value added analysis with Hayami Method, to determine the sustainability of the bussiness conducted a descriptive study that can be seen from the ratio of added value, labor market and profit levels. The results showed that : (1) the amount of value added obtained from the production of banana ambon into pisang sale and pisang kepok became banana chips that were equal to Rp 37.625,52/kg and Rp.27.877,24/kg (2) based on calculations using Hayami Method by looking the indicators of bussiness sustainability on banana sale products and banana chips has a high level of bussiness sustainability.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Menganalisis jumlah permintaan benih jagung hibrida dalam satu kali musim tanam di Kabupaten Utara Provinsi Bengkulu 2) Menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan benih jagung hibrida di Kabupaten Utara Provinsi Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda model Cobb-Douglass. Pada penelitian ini penentuan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teori Roscoe. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Kerkap dan Kecamatan Hulu Palik Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas petani jagung di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara menggunakan benih jagung hibrida varietas benih Bisi 18.
