Abstract

Perubahan Kurikulum 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru untuk menyesuaikan perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul ajar berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) pada materi perubahan lingkungan kelas X. Metode yang digunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan 5 tahapan yaitu potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, dan revisi desain. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan angket validasi instrumen dan angket lembar validasi. Aspek yang divalidasi yaitu informasi umum, komponen inti, lampiran, kesesuaian dengan model problem based learning (PBL), dan bahasa. Validasi dilakukan oleh 5 orang validator. Abstract

Educators utilise learning models and media to improve students’ understanding of the material. This study aims to enhance students’ learning process and learning outcomes by using the Powtoon-based Problem Based Learning paradigm on respiratory system information. This research is a Classroom Action Research with a two-cycle design. Each learning cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were students of SMP Negeri 12 Sungai Raya class VIII B in the 2023/2024 school year, with a sample size of 29 people. The instruments of this study were observation sheets and learning outcome tests. The purpose of the test sheet is to measure students’ understanding of the material discussed in class, while the observation sheet sees how well the learning objectives are achieved. The data collection strategies used in this study were tests, observations, and documentation. The results of the learning implementation process were obtained at 92.26% in cycle I and 95.64% in cycle II. Student learning outcomes increased by 86.20% in cycle II from 77.59% in cycle I. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning using the Powtoon-based Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning implementation process and student learning outcomes on respiratory system material.

Abstract

Abstrak. Media pembelajaran sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena dapat membantu guru dan siswa. Teknologi pada era sekarang juga berkembang sangat pesat oleh karena itu diperlukan juga penyesuaian terhadap media pembelajaran yang berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media power point interaktif berbasis motion graphic dalam proses pembelajaran dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran. Model ADDIE digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang dikembangkan oleh Dick & Carrey. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 30 siswa SMA Negeri 1 Meliau, serta tiga orang guru biologi dari sekolah yang berbeda dan dua orang dosen Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Untan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media power point interaktif berbasis motion graphic valid dan reliabel, dengan nilai CVR sebesar 0,99 dan nilai ICC sebesar 0,906. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap media ini mendapat hasil rata-rata keseluruhan 84,22% dengan kategori baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media power point interaktif ini dapat valid dan layak sehingga dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran materi sistem pencernaan di kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Meliau. Abstract. Learning media is important in the learning process because it can facilitate teachers and students. Technology in the current era is also developing very rapidly, therefore adjustments to technology-based learning media are also needed. This research aims to develop interactive power point media based on motion graphics in the learning process and determine student responses to its use in learning. The ADDIE model was used in this study which was developed by Dick & Carrey. The research subjects involved 30 students of SMA Negeri 1 Meliau, as well as three biology teachers from different schools and two lecturers of Biology Education FKIP Untan. The validation results showed that the motion graphic-based interactive power point media was valid and reliable, with a CVR value of 0.99 and an ICC value of 0.906. In addition, student responses to this media received an overall average of 84.22% in the good category. These results indicate that this interactive power point media can be valid and feasible so that it can be used for learning digestive system material in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Meliau.

Abstract

This research presents the creativity of the college students of Biology Education Study Program of Universitas Tanjungpura in processing and utilizing both the organic and inorganic waste into several functional products. The type of this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach to describe the types of useful products from waste made by the college students of Biology Education Study Program. The product assessment is carried out by 3 validators, who are 2 lecturers at IKIP PGRI Pontianak and 1 lecturer at the Faculty of Education and teachers training (FKIP) of Universitas Tanjungpura. The creativity of the college students in utilizing waste into functional products produces several products in the form of foods and crafts. Moreover, the food products include Empek-empek mackerel fish bones, chicken intestine nuggets, avocado seed cookies, watermelon skin sweetmeat, jackfruit seed chips, and fluffy mini pancake banana peel. Then, the handicraft products include piggy banks made from used bottles, bags made of jerry cans and patchwork, miniature of trees with lights and electrical terminals made from old newspapers and old tires, and the bracelet friendship summer. Finally, the validator's assessment of the food products is in the range of 2 - 5, while for the handicraft products is in the range of 2 - 4.5.

Abstract

Era globalisasi menuntut guru untuk beradaptasi menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Guru biologi di kota Pontianak sudah memanfaatkan media pembelajaran namun belum pernah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality (AR) dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk melakukan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran biologi berbasis augmented reality dengan menggunakan assemblr EDU bagi guru di MGMP biologi kota Pontianak. Metode PKM yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Peserta PKM berjumlah 20 orang guru Biologi yang tergabung dalam MGMP biologi kota Pontianak. Tahap sosialisasi, guru dijelaskan mengenai media pembelajaran biologi berbasis augmented reality. Tahap pelatihan dilakukan dengan mendemonstrasikan cara pembuatan media pembelajaran biologi berbasis augmented reality dengan menggunakan aplikasi assemblr EDU kepada guru. Tahap pendampingan, guru membuat sendiri media sesuai dengan materi yang diinginkan dan dibimbing oleh narasumber secara langsung. Setelah selesai mengikuti pelatihan ini, guru dapat membuat media pembelajaran biologi berbasis augmented reality dengan assemblr EDU dan guru dapat menggunakannya dalam pembelajaran biologi. The era of globalization requires teachers to adapt to using technology-based learning media. Biology teachers in Pontianak city have utilized learning media but have never used augmented reality (AR)-based learning media in the learning process. The purpose of this community service (PKM) is to conduct training in making augmented reality-based biology learning media using assemblr EDU for teachers at the Pontianak city biology MGMP. The PKM method is to conduct socialization, training, and mentoring activities. PKM participants numbered 20 biology teachers who are members of the Pontianak city biology MGMP. In the socialization stage, teachers were explained about augmented reality-based biology learning media. The training stage was carried out by demonstrating how to make augmented reality-based biology learning media using the assemblr EDU application to teachers. In the mentoring stage, teachers made their own media according to the desired material and were guided directly by the resource person. After completing this training, teachers can make augmented reality-based biology learning media with assemblr EDU and teachers can use it in biology learning.

Abstract

Kelapa (Cocos nucifera L.) merupakan merupakan salah satu komoditas yang terdapat di kecamatan Teluk Pakedai. Kelapa dikenal sebagai tanaman multifungsi yang dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi berbagai olahan pangan maupun non pangan, mulai dari batang, buah, hingga daunnya. Demi menjaga ketahanan pangan di suatu daerah, diperlukan adanya tembusan ide untuk diversifikasi bahan pangan menjadi produk yang lebih menarik dan ramah lingkungan. Maka dari itu, dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di salah satu kecamatan Teluk Pakedai, yaitu Desa Selat Remis yang melibatkan anggota PKK Desa sebanyak 21 orang. Pada kegiatan tersebut, dilakukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan kepada anggota PKK Desa mengenai pemanfaatan bahan pangan menjadi produk-produk berkualitas dan ramah lingkungan. Produk yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah manisan kelapa, telur dadar kelapa parut, dan media tanam dari sabut kelapa. Setelah produk dan kerajinan dibuat, dilakukan pengisian angket evaluasi oleh peserta. Berdasarkan hasil pengisian angket pada aspek Perasaan Senang, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan yang dilakukan memberikan perasaan senang kepada peserta. Pada aspek Keinginan, peserta kegiatan memiliki keinginan untuk menerapkan pembuatan produk-produk yang telah dikenalkan oleh tim pelaksana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan memanfaatkannya sebagai ide usaha. Pada aspek Perhatian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta memperhatikan setiap tahap dalam kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Pada aspek Kebutuhan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta memiliki kebutuhan terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan guna menambah ilmu. Pada aspek harapan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa harapan peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini dapat mendorong pemanfaatan komoditas di daerah sendiri cukup tinggi

Abstract

The learning outcomes obtained by students have been low due to the implementation of the learning implementation process that has not been maximized. The purpose of this study was carried out to determine the implementation of the learning process and student learning outcomes using the PBL model assisted by Canva. The research method used is classroom action research conducted with 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The stages of this research consist of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used are observation sheets of the learning implementation process to determine the achievement of learning objectives and learning outcomes test sheets to measure students' mastery of the material provided. Data collection techniques are observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. Before being used, all instruments were validated first by validators and continued with reliability measurements. The results of this study are the process of implementing learning using the PBL model assisted by Canva increased with a cycle I completeness percentage of 91.32% to 93.87%. This increase affected the learning outcomes of students with a percentage of completeness in cycle I of 81.66% and cycle II of 90%. This study proves that the use of PBL models assisted by canva can improve the learning implementation process and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool used in the school that can help teacher in the teaching process. Media that is made according to needs can help students achieve learning goals effectively and efficiently. This research aims to determine the feasibility of booklet the role of biodiversity based on inventory of post-birth medicinal plants in Mekar Sari Village on the sub-material role of living things for life in class X. This study uses research development by Sugiyono which consists of determining potential and problems, data collection, designing media, validating, finally revising the design. The validity of the booklet media was obtained through content validation carried out by five validators. Booklet media validation is viewed from three aspects, namely format, content and language. Validation analysis refers to Lawshe (1975), namely content validity ratio (CVR) and content validity index (CVI). The research results show an average CVR of 1.00 and resulting in a CVI of 1.00 in the valid category. The results of the analysis in this research can be concluded that booklet media is suitable for use as learning media

Abstract

The use of learning models is beneficial in enhancing student learning activities. The aim of this study was to improve students' learning activities by applying the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type in the science subject for class VIII B at SMPN 5 Sukadana. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The study consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 25 students, consisting of 13 female and 12 male students from class VIII B at SMPN 5 Sukadana in the 2024/2025 academic year. The instrument used was an observation sheet. The data collection techniques employed were observation and documentation. The results of the study on learning activities showed that in cycle I, the percentage was 82.4%, and in cycle II, it increased to 92.8%. The findings indicate that the use of the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Heads Together type can improve students' learning activities in science subject for class VIII B at SMPN 5 Sukadana.

Abstract

Textbooks are one of the factors that cause misconceptions, despite their function as an easily accessible learning resource for students and teachers. This study aims to identify the availability of important concepts in books used by high school biology teachers and identify potential misconceptions in high school class XII Biology textbooks on the topic of Mendelian inheritance patterns and categorise based on Dikmenli, Cardak and Oztas misconception categories. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the type of research used is content analysis. Data collection techniques were conducted by interview and documentation study. Data collection instruments are interview sheets and data analysis sheets. Based on the results of the study, 13 important concepts were obtained in accordance with basic competencies. The availability of concepts in books A and B presents 9 concepts, book C presents 8 concepts and book D presents 6 concepts. The results found 7 out of 13 important concepts showed potential misconceptions in 3 of the 4 books analysed. Book A showed 8 potential misconceptions with 6 categories of misidentifications, 1 oversimplification and 1 overgeneralization. Book B has 3 potential misconceptions with 2 categories of misidentifications and 1 overgeneralization. Book C shows 3 potential misconceptions with misidentification category. These findings emphasise the need for attention to misconceptions in Biology textbooks.
