Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of the lives of palm oil workers in Indonesian plantation areas, focusing on the relationship between working conditions, economic access, and livelihood sustainability strategies. Through a systematic literature review, the study identifies that uncertain working conditions and high occupational health risks limit income stability and workers' access to formal financial services. These constraints encourage palm oil workers to adopt adaptive strategies that include livelihood diversification, utilisation of community social capital, and investment in children's education as efforts to maintain livelihood sustainability. This study emphasises the need for integrated interventions from the government, companies, and community institutions to improve working conditions and expand inclusive economic access, as well as to support sustainable and equitable livelihood strategies. These findings serve as an important foundation for efforts to holistically improve the welfare of palm oil workers.

Abstract

Serikin Market is one of the strategic cross-border economic interaction centres between the Indonesian and Malaysian communities in the border region of West Kalimantan and Sarawak. This study aims to analyse the role and benefits of Serikin Market in supporting cross-border economic, social, and cultural dynamics through a literature review of various relevant sources. The results of the study show that Serikin Market is not only an effective means of distributing goods and services, but also plays an important role in strengthening socio-cultural relations between border residents and encouraging the growth of the micro-economic sector and MSMEs. However, this market also faces significant challenges, such as limited infrastructure, diverse cross-border regulations, and risky informal trading practices. Policy synergy and adaptive management from both governments are needed to maintain the sustainability and optimisation of this market's function as a centre for cross-border economic interaction. This research provides a comprehensive understanding that can serve as a basis for policy-making in border areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of leadership, organisational culture, and technology on the effectiveness of healthcare management through a literature review approach that focuses on operational standards, service innovation, and risk management in hospitals. This study is motivated by the increasing demands for quality, safety, and efficiency in healthcare services in the era of digital transformation. Data was collected through analysis of relevant scientific literature, including nationally and internationally indexed journals, scientific books, and health policy reports. The results of the study show that leadership plays a role in determining the strategic direction and stability of the organisation, organisational culture shapes the values and work behaviours that support system effectiveness, while technology enhances speed, accuracy, and innovation in service management. The synergy of these three factors has been proven to create more adaptive, effective, and sustainable healthcare management. The application of visionary leadership, a collaborative work culture, and the comprehensive integration of health information technology are key to facing global dynamics and increasing the competitiveness of hospitals in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of land certification on increasing land economic value through legal certainty, using a literature review method. Land certification, as a process of granting legal documents, provides legal certainty over land ownership, which in turn contributes to increasing land economic value. Through a literature review of various previous studies, it was found that legal certainty reduces the risk of disputes and increases market and financial institution confidence, so that certified land tends to have higher prices, better liquidity, and wider access to financing. These findings underscore the importance of land certification as a strategic instrument in strengthening land governance and promoting local and national economic growth. This study recommends accelerating and expanding land certification programmes as an effective policy measure in creating legal certainty and sustainable economic value of land.

Abstract

This study examines the economic implications of extending Land Use Rights (HGU) and Building Use Rights (HGB) on long-term investment in Indonesia through a literature review. The focus of the study is on the legality and security of doing business, which are crucial factors in creating legal certainty and a stable investment climate. The research method used is a literature review with sources such as legislation, scientific journals, and government reports. The results of the study indicate that the extension of HGU and HGB can increase the attractiveness of long-term investment by providing more stable land ownership guarantees and easier access to financing. However, challenges such as the potential for land monopolies, complex bureaucracy, and the risk of land conflicts and legal violations need to be addressed through management reforms that include digitalisation of services, simplification of procedures, and harmonisation of regulations. The success of these policies depends heavily on the synergy between legal certainty, good governance, and the protection of local community rights to support inclusive and sustainable economic development in Indonesia.

Abstract

The extension of Land Use Rights (HGU) and Building Use Rights (HGB) is an important mechanism in the Indonesian land system that contributes to ensuring legal certainty for investors. This study aims to examine the role of HGU and HGB extension regulations and their impact on legal certainty, which in turn affects investment decisions. The method used is a literature review with two main discussions, namely regulatory analysis and economic review. The results of the study indicate that clear and structured regulations on the extension of rights provide a strong legal basis for investors to utilise land in the long term. From an economic perspective, the certainty of the extension system can increase investment interest, facilitate access to financing, and encourage growth in strategic sectors. However, challenges in implementation, such as complex administrative procedures and inter-agency coordination issues, remain obstacles that need to be addressed. This study underscores the importance of regulatory harmonisation, procedural simplification, and the utilisation of digital technology in enhancing legal certainty and the investment climate in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the function of Land Title Certificates as collateral for bank loans and their role in expanding access to capital and encouraging business investment. Through a literature review, this study identifies that land certificates have legal force that provides certainty for creditors, while also serving as an important instrument for debtors to obtain financing. Land certificates not only serve as proof of legal ownership but also as a means of converting illiquid assets into productive business capital. The use of land certificates as collateral for credit has proven to enhance financial inclusion, promote the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and accelerate investment across various sectors of the economy. However, the optimisation of this function depends on policy support, the acceleration of land certification programmes, the integration of land information systems with financial institutions, and the improvement of financial literacy among the public. The results of this study are expected to provide strategic recommendations for the government, banks, and business actors in maximising the role of land certificates as a driver of inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

This article analyses the regulations and policies that contribute to the expansion of hospitals' legal responsibilities in Indonesia, with a focus on protecting patients' rights and improving the quality of health services. The main regulations that direct such legal responsibilities include Law No. 44/2009 on Hospitals and Law No. 36/2009 on Health, which regulate service standards and hospitals' obligations to ensure patient safety and security. In addition, a hospital accreditation system was also introduced as an effort to ensure high service quality and minimise legal risks. However, the implementation of these regulations faces challenges in the field, with some hospitals still experiencing difficulties in meeting the set standards, especially in resource-constrained regions. This study concludes that increased supervision, stronger regulatory support, and comprehensive education strategies are needed to improve compliance and quality of hospital services in Indonesia, so as to provide safe, quality, and equitable health services for the entire community.

Abstract

This article examines the comparative legal protection for patients in different countries by conducting a comprehensive literature review. The analysis shows that there is great variation in the legal protection provided, influenced by each country's level of economic development, health system, and government policies. Developed countries generally have more comprehensive legal frameworks that protect patients' rights, including the right to medical information, informed consent, and effective grievance mechanisms. In developing countries, legal protection for patients is often weaker due to limited resources and infrastructure. This study recommends increased public awareness of patients' rights, training for medical personnel, and international co-operation to set global standards, in order to strengthen legal protection for patients globally.
