Abstract

Background: SARS-CoV-2 is a new type of coronavirus that has never been previously identified in humans. In severe cases of COVID-19 it can cause pneumonia, acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death. Hypertension causes a number of pathophysiological changes in the cardiovascular system such as left ventricular hypertrophy and fibrosis. This can make a hypertensive heart particularly vulnerable to SARS-CoV-2. This study aims to analyze and estimate the effect of comorbid hypertension on mortality in COVID-19 patients.Subjects and Method: This was a systematic review and meta-analysis conducted with PRISMA flow diagram. Article searches through journal databases include: Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, and Springer Link by selecting articles published in 2020 and 2021. The keywords used are “Hypertension” OR “Hypertensive Patient” OR “Blood Pressure”, “Systolic Pressure” OR “Diastolic Pressure” AND “Mortality”, OR “death” OR “loss” AND “COVID-19” OR “SARS-COV-2” OR “coronavirus” AND “multivariate”. The inclusion criteria were full paper articles with observational research methods, the results of the analysis used the aOR value, the exposure given was comorbid hypertension, the research subjects were COVID-19 patients, with mortality outcomes. Eligible articles were analyzed using the Revman 5.3 app. Results: A meta-analysis of 18 articles showed that confirmed COVID-19 patients who had comorbid hypertension had a 1.27 times risk of mortality compared to those without comorbid hypertension and were statistically significant (aOR= 1.27; 95% CI= 1.14 to 1.41; p <0.001).Conclusion: Comorbid Hypertension affects the mortality of COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is defined as an interruption of the blood supply to the brain which is usually caused by a blockage by a blood clot. This causes disruption of the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the brain resulting in damage to brain tissue. This study aims to analyze and estimate the effect of hypertension, high-density lipoprotein, and diabetes mellitus on the risk of stroke. Subjects and Method: This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis using the PRISMA flow chart and the PICO model. Population: adults. Intervention: hypertension, high-density lipoprotein, and diabetes mellitus. Comparison: normal blood pressure, normal HDL, and normal blood sugar. Outcome: strokes. The databases used were PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Proquest with keywords (hypertension OR "diabetes mellitus" OR "high-density lipoprotein") AND stroke AND ("cross-sectional" OR "case-control") AND aOR. There were 9 Case-Control studies and 4 Cross-Sectional studies published in 2013-2023 that met the inclusion criteria. Analysis was performed with RevMan 5.3. Results: 13 studies from Oman, Iran, Lebanon, Ghana, Finland, Nigeria, China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia were selected for meta-analysis. Total sample was 71,037. Had history of hypertension (aOR= 5.48; 95% CI = 2.26 to 13.32; p= 0.002) and diabetes mellitus (aOR = 1.93; 95% CI= 1.45 to 2.57; p< 0.001) increased the risk of stroke. High HDL levels reduced the risk of stroke (aOR = 0.46; 95% CI = 0.27 to 0.79; p= 0.004). Conclusion: History of hypertension and diabetes mellitus increase the risk of stroke. However, high HDL levels reduce the risk of stroke. Keywords: hypertension, high-density lipoprotein, diabetes mellitus, stroke.

Abstract

Background:  Allergic rhinitis (AR) is one of the most common health problems experienced by people around the world. WHO ARIA defines allergic rhinitis as a disorder of the nose accompanied by symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, itching, and nasal congestion e after the nasal mucosa is exposed to allergens mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE). Many studies have proven the impact of acupuncture on the immune system. This study aims to examine and estimate the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy for allergic rhinitis patients based on the results of previous similar studies. Subject and Method: This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis, with PICO as the following Population: allergic rhinitis patients. Intervention: acupuncture therapy. Comparison: sham/placebo acupuncture. Outcome: quality of life. The articles used in this study were obtained from several databases including Google Scholar, MEDLINE/PubMed, Science Direct, Hindawi, Europe PMC and Springer Link. These articles were collected for 1 month. The keywords to search for articles are as follows: "acupuncture for allergic rhinitis" OR "acupuncture for seasonal allergic rhinitis" OR "acupuncture for parenial allergic rhinitis" AND "quality of life" AND “randomized controlled trial". The article included in this study were a full text article with a randomized controlled trial  (RCT)  study design. Quality of life was measured using the Rhinitis Quality of Life Questionnaire (RQLQ). Meta analysis was written using PRISMA flow diagram and analyzed using Review Manager 5.4. Result:  A total of 9 RCT articles with a sample size of 2542 from Germany, Queensland, Victoria, China, and Korea were reviewed in this meta-analysis study. Abstract

The processed food and beverage industry in Indonesia is increasing rapidly, one of which is the ultra-processed food (UPF) industry. Adolescents had a high prevalence of UPF consumption habits (67.6 %). Adolescents generally prefer foods that are easy to obtain and have a good taste, such as ultra-processed foods and beverages. Consumption of snacks by adolescents with more than three servings per day at school can cause overweight. Good nutrition education needs to be provided in an effort to increase adolescent knowledge, and it is hoped that there will be changes in nutritional behavior in the selection and consumption of better food. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of nutritional education videos on nutritional knowledge, food selection, and the frequency of ultra-processed food consumption. The design in this study uses the Quasi-Experimental research type, using a design (pretest-posttest control group design). The research was conducted at Senior High School (SHS) A and SHS B in Depok City, West Java. The sample in this study comprised 174 adolescents from January to February 2024. Data on nutritional knowledge, food selection, and frequency of UPF consumption were collected before and after the intervention using nutritional knowledge questionnaires, food selection, and FFQ forms. Data analysis was performed using Wilcoxon and different-in-different tests. The results of the Wilcoxon test in the intervention group showed an effect of providing education before and after the intervention nutrition education video on nutrition knowledge on nutritional knowledge (p=0,000) and food selection (p=0,009). In conclusion, video media have an effect on changes in nutritional knowledge. Video media had no effect on food selection or the frequency of UPF consumption.

Abstract

Kompetensi perawat (OR = 0,05) ; CI95% = 0.02 hingga 0.09; p <001), 3. Komitmen perawat (OR = 0.13; CI95% = 0.07 hingga 0.24; p <001), 4. Smear negative (OR = 0.35; CI95% = 0.18 hingga 0.67; p = 0,002), 5. TB paru ekstra (OR = 15,45; CI95% = 8,08 sampai 29,51; p <0,001), dan 6) manajemen rumah sakit (ICC = 11,24%; CI95% = 2,20% sampai 41,62%). . Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat enam indeks yang berhubungan dengan kasus under-reporting TB di RSUD Kudus.
