Abstract

This Based on preliminary research on students of class XI MIPA Mardisiswa Semarang, it was found that the problem of learning motivation and learning outcomes was still low. One way to solve the problem by using audio visual learning media. The fact is students' interest in Instagram is very high. This can be as a learning innovation. In Instagram, students get animated videos and infographics so learning can be more fun. The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in motivation, learning outcomes and student responses after Instagram-assisted learning. This type of research is a Quasy Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results of the N-Gain for pretest and posttest showed an increase in motivation after Instagram-assisted physics learning was implemented by 0.55 or in the “medium criteria”. While increasing learning outcomes by 0.73 or “high criteria”. Student response test after applied learning assisted by Instagram obtained a percentage of 82.87% with the category "very good". In conclution, learning assisted by Instagram can be used to improve student learning outcomes and motivation.

Abstract

In this 21st century, it is essential to teach some skills that are useful for the next generation, so they can compete with other countries. One of the skills that can be improved is collaboration skill. The teaching and learning process will run effectively if we use appropriate teaching method, that is STEM. STEM-based learning is a solution in helping to develop the 21st century (4C) learning skills through higher quality learning experiences. The results of observation at experiment school show that school have not applied to learn with the STEM approach and have not specifically developed collaboration skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of collaboration skills through the application of STEM-based physics learning. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Kendal, class XI MIPA 3 as an experimental class, and XI MIPA 5 as an control class. Retrieval of data using observation and documentation methods. Analysis of research data using analysis of the observation sheet with the help of the SPSS and Microsoft Office Excel programs. The results showed that collaboration skills after applying STEM-based physics learning developed in the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the science worksheets design in comic form with problem solving oriented to develop students care environment character, determine the validity of the worksheets, the readability of the worksheets, and students care environment character development. The results showed that the design of this student worksheet was in comic form with problem solving oriented, the validity level of the student worksheet obtained proper criteria and had a high readability level so that it was easy to understand. The use of student worksheets in learning can improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain and develop an environment care character

Abstract

The goals of this research are to identify the characteristics of Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets, determine the feasibility level of Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets, determine the increase in student cognitive learning outcomes, and determine the increase in student problem-solving abilities. The method of this research is Research and Development (R&D) with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the feasibility test from the validator and the results of the readability test showed that the Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets are very suitable for use in physics learning and this is easy to understand. The use of student worksheets in learning can increase students cognitive learning outcomes and students problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Pendekatan SETS merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menyajikan keterkaitan sains, lingkungan, teknologi dan masyarakat dan dampak yang ditimbulkannya ke dalam tema sains. Pendekatan ini memiliki karakteristik mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif yang secara tidak langsung juga menumbuhkan nilai sikap/karakter kepada siswa. Internalisasi nilai karakter dan aktivitas dalam pembelajaran dapat diwujudkan dengan kegiatan kelompok yang memungkinkan siswa untuk lebih banyak berinteraksi, salah satunya dengan implementasi media pembelajaran game ular tangga bervisi SETS bermuatan karakter. Media pembelajaran ini berbasis game edukatif dengan adopsi permainan tradisional ular tangga yang dirancang berdasarkan metode research and development (r & d). Hasil penilaian pakar menunjukkan media game ular tangga telah layak uji pakar materi maupun media dengan kriteria sangat layak dengan persentase kelayakan oleh pakar materi sebesar 94,24% dan pakar media sebesar 94,64%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif yang dibuktikan dari adanya perbedaan rata-rata pemahaman siswa melalui uji t dan peningkatan rata-rata (gain) sebesar 0,5 (sedang). Media pembelajaran ini juga mampu meningkatkan aktivitas serta karakter jujur dan bersahabat/komunikatif siswa. SETS approach offers the connections between science, environment, technology and society also their effects to science themes. The characteristic of this approach is the capability to encourage student’s activities indirectly and encourage their characters building. The internalization of character values and students’ activities in learning activities could realize on group activities that enable students to interact more, one of the ways is the implementation of snake and ladder learning media with SETS perspective and containing character values. The basic of this learning media is educative game that adopts a traditional game snake and ladder which designed according to research and development (r & d) method. Experts judgements showed that snake and ladder media was feasible. Both material and media validators gave judgement of very feasible criteria, material validator gave 94,24% and media validator gave 94,64%. The result of this study shows that the media brings positive effects on student’s cognitive outcome showed by students’ average understanding concept difference based on t test result and average understanding improvement (gain) in the amount of 0,5 (moderate). This media also can increase activities and honest-friendly/communicative characters.

Abstract

Distance learning or online learning in Indonesia has been implemented since April 2020 to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. Online learning activities involve adequate network of connections and support learning devices. Thinking skills that must be prossesed by students in improving the quality of education graduates two of which are critical thinking skiils and creative thinking skills. The purpose of the study was determine the development of student critical and creative thinking skills in problem based physics learning. Thinking skills are developed to develop three indicators, namely analyzing, synthesizing, and researching. The creative thinking skills developed consist of three indicators, namely realizing, elaborating, and formulating. This research method is quasi-experimental using one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2. This research was carried out for two meetings at SMA Negeri 2 Kendal using a problem based learning model. Based on the results of problem-basel physics learning, it shows that it is able to develop critical and creative thingking skills with moderate criteria.

Abstract

Permendikbud number 65 of 2013 stipulates that the process of learning in the curriculum implemented in 2013 through a scientific approach. The Government has launched a character education in every level of education that is integrated into subjects. Worksheets on curriculum integrates character education in 2013 have not been in it, so there needs to be an example of character worksheets that implements scientific approach to curriculum 2013 The purpose of this study is to obtain worksheets, determine eligibility and level of legibility, knowing the increase in cognitive learning outcomes, and to know the character development of students. The method in this study is an R D (Research and Development). The study procedures include: (1) introduction, (2) design, (3) the development or testing of the product. The test results showed that the feasibility of LKS is very suitable to be used as a means of learning physics and easy to understand because the value of high legibility. Improved cognitive learning outcomes of students who have learning using worksheets higher than students who received learning without LKS. LKS can also develop the character of students in particular disciplines, honest, curious, and communicative.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam alat bermain sains (ABS) dari barang-barang habis pakai atau limbah. Metode yang diterapkan berupa pelatihan dan workshop yang meliputi kuliah, praktek membuat alat dan peer teaching. ABS yang berhasil dibuat diantaranya tikar warna, pengukuran, menimbang, menakar, magnet, bunyi, pncampuran warna, gravitasi, telepon dari gelas plastik. Setelah kegiatan berlangsung terjadi peningkatan jumlah alat pada masing-masing sekolah. Terjadi pula peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam membuat alat bermain sains. Dari hasil uji coba melalui kegiatan per teaching, hasil belajar kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik siswa meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

This community service activity purposes to growth teacher competence tool of play science (ABS) for kindergaten education. The method are training and workshop including lectures, demonstration method and peer teaching.The ABS was made are colourful plaited mat, gravitation, measuring out, magnetic and sound etc. After that there is an increasing the quantity of tool in each school. Also an increasing teacher competence to made science tool of play (ABS). The peer teaching show that the resul learning cognitif, afective and phycomotoric increse sicnificantly.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a module of biology learning based on critical thinking skills that are effective in improving learning outcomes for students in senior high school grade X.The Study using Borg and Gall development method and product effectiveness test is using U Mann-Whitney test based on N-Gain calculation obtained from pretest and posttest score of each experimental class and control class and product attractiveness is determined by indicator according to percentage range. Data collection, for the feasibility and attractiveness of the module using a questionnaire while the effectiveness of the module is using the instrument test. Product trials were conducted at SMAN 1 Seputih Mataram, SMAN 1 Seputih Agung and SMAN 1 Terusan Nunyai district of Central Lampung with Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of the research is 94 people for experiment class and 94 people for control class. The result of data analysis shows that there is a significant increase of student learning outcomes and the module is very interesting with the percentage of attractiveness of 93% and the ease with the percentage of 84.67%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis yang efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan Borg and Gall, uji efektivitas produk menggunakan U Mann-Whitney test berdasarkan perhitungan N-Gain yang diperoleh dari skor pretes dan postes masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dan daya tarik produk ditetapkan dengan indikator sesuai rentang persentase. Pengumpulan data antara lain untuk kelayakan dan daya tarik modul menggunakan angket sementara efektivitas modul menggunakan instrument tes. Uji coba produk dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Seputih Mataram, SMAN 1 Seputih Agung dan SMAN 1 Terusan Nunyai kabupaten Lampung Tengah dengan Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA sebanyak 94 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 94 orang untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada siswa dan modul sangat menarik dengan persentase kemenarikan sebesar 93% dan kemudahan dengan persentase 84,67%.Kata Kunci : pengembangan bahan ajar, modul, keterampilan berpikir kritis
