Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of a scientific reasoning ability test instrument for prospective science teachers using the Rasch model. The instrument developed refers to Lawson's Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning (LCTSR) indicators, focusing on scientific reasoning abilities, including variable control, combinatorial, probability, relational, and proportional thinking. The analysis was carried out using the Rasch Model with the WINSTEPS Version 5.7.3.0 application to test the validity, reliability, and characteristics of the test items. The feasibility test was carried out on 40 multiple-choice questions, tested on 110 test samples. The analysis results showed that 25 of the 40 questions were valid and covered all indicators of problem-solving skills. The test instrument also has a high level of internal consistency with a person reliability value of 0.84 and an item reliability of 0.95. Analysis of the level of difficulty of the test items showed a balanced distribution between very difficult, difficult, moderate, and easy questions. No items were detected as biased, indicating that this instrument is fair and can be used without favoring one group of individuals. Overall, the developed problem-solving skills test instrument is valid and reliable for use on prospective science teachers, assisting educators in evaluating students' problem-solving skills, providing constructive feedback, and improving the quality of learning in science.

Abstract

The Curriculum 2013 for Senior High School instructs the students to study certain subejcts beyond their interest; one of them is cross-interest physics subject. Social class that studies cross-interest physics subject is suggested to relate science to technology and its functions in the society. Beside, they must possess the good creativity for 21 century; the critical thinking. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the scientific technology approach of society (STS) in critical thinking skills. The type of research used is quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The subjects in this study were class X IPS in SMA Teuku Umar Semarang with X IPS 1 as the experimental class with 17 students and the control class X IPS 2 with 16 students. The learning model used is Problem Based Learning on the Business and Energy material. The results of the N-Gain test showed an increase in critical thinking skills of 0.36% after the STM approach was implemented.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian adalah rendahnya kemampuan berkolaborasi peserta didk di kelas II SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh dengan jumlah 34 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrument tes dan non tes. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh data nilai signifikan < ttabel (taraf signifikansi 5%, α = 0,05) dengan rincian 0,02 < 0,05, maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan berkolaborasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas II SD Negeri 4 Metro Barat.

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is a musculoskeletal pain condition in the lumbosacral area, located below the costal margin and above the inferior gluteal fold, commonly caused by unhealthy lifestyle habits and body mass index. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of gluteus activation exercise and core stability exercise in patients with low back pain symptoms. The method involved administering trunk exercises in the form of core stability exercise (CSE), which is emphasized as a universal physiotherapy approach to optimize movement, transfer, pressure control, and activity performance. In addition, hip exercises in the form of gluteus activation were applied to activate weakened gluteal muscles due to prolonged static positions, which may lead to gluteal muscle alterations, thereby increasing the risk of lower extremity injuries and low back pain. The analysis showed that patients with low back pain who received gluteus activation intervention experienced a greater reduction in pain by -1.70 units compared to those who received trunk exercise (SMD = -0.46; 95% CI = -0.46 to 0.12), with results statistically significant (p < 0.00001). The heterogeneity of the studies was high (I² = 81%, random effects model). Conclusion: Gluteus activation exercise proved to be more effective in reducing low back pain compared to core stability exercise among patients with low back pain symptoms.

Abstract

Salah satu materi TK (Taman Kanak-Kanak) pada kurikulum merdeka adalah pemilahan sampah organik dan non organik. Setiap Lembaga Taman Kanak-Kanak yang ada di Kelurahan Sukorejo mempunyai Bank Sampah mini, hasil setoran setiap siswa, namun sayangnya tidak didaur ulang karena kurangnya pengetahuan dalam mendaur ulang sampah tersebut. Sampah yang ada di Bank Sampah kadang dijual kepada pengumpul. Oleh karena solusi hal tersebut, adalah meningkatkan kreativitas guru TK dalam mendaur ulang sampah diolah menjadi hasta karya yang dapat mendukung pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka. Daur ulang sampah adalah kegiatan mengolah sampah untuk dijadikan produk baru. Sampah plastik seperti gelas minuman kemasan dapat dikreasikan menjadi berbagai macam hasta karya dalam bentuk kerajinan, yang dapat diajarkan kepada siswa yang merupakan hasil produk dari pemilahan sampah. Jumlah peserta kegiatan pengabdian ini 25 orang terdiri atas ibu2 perwakilan dari setiap Lembaga TK. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuliah, workshop dan praktek membuat kerajinan dari sampah plastik dan kertas. Hasil yang diperoleh setiap peserta telah menghasilkan lima alat bermain, serta kreativitasnya berkategori baik.

Abstract

Profil Pelajar Pancasila sebagai upaya kebijakan dalam mendukung program penguatan karakter mendukung visi dan misi presiden untuk mewujudkan Indonesia yang maju, berdaulat, mandiri, dan berkepribadian melalui terciptanya pelajar Pancasila. Bahan ajar berbasis Project Based Learning berpendekatan STEM cocok diterapkan untuk mengembangkan karakter dalam pembelajaran. Penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran seperti Google Sites dapat memudahkan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar Google Sites berbasis PjBL berpendekatan STEM dalam memfasilitasi Karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila, mengetahui tingkat kelayakan dan keterbacaannya, serta perkembangan Karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan (R&D) dengan desain penelitian ADDIE. Implementasi dari bahan ajar Google Sites dilakukan dengan pendekatan quasi experimental design bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Hasil uji kelayakan bahan ajar Google Sites oleh validator berada kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji keterbacaan oleh peserta didik berada kriteria mudah dipahami. Peningkatan perkembangan karakter peserta didik pada kelas kontrol berada kriteria rendah, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen berada kriteria sedang. Dari hasil analisis observasi, pada kelas kontrol maupun eksperimen perkembangan karakter peserta didik berada kriteria mulai berkembang. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat memfasilitasi perkembangan Karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila peserta didik yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil pretest ke posttest dan hasil observasi karakter.

Abstract

Hasil belajar merupakan indikator penting dalam mengukur keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Tingginya hasil belajar menunjukkan efektivitas model dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Namun, dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik kelas V SDN 3 Kresnomulyo masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media wordwall terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design dengan populasi berjumlah 35 peserta didik dan sampel sebanyak 35 peserta didik. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik tes dan non tes berupa lembar observasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana, berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang siginifikan penggunaan model problem based learning berbantuan media wordwall terhadap hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik kelas V SDN 3 Kresnomulyo.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematics student worksheet based on Project Based Learning on the material of cubes and blocks. Worthy, practical, and effective to measure the problem-solving abilities of fifth-grade elementary school students. This research is a type of Research and Development research (R&D), development is carried out referring to the Borg & Gall theory. The population in the research these are the fifth grade students of State Elementary School 1 Rajabasa Raya Bandar Lampung, The research sample was determined using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection tool data were collected using test instruments and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the Project Based Learning-based mathematics student worksheet has gone through a validation process by experts. Based on the assessment results, this student worksheet was declared very valid in terms of material, media, and language aspects. The practicality test conducted on educators and students also showed that the student worksheet was included in the very practical category for use in learning activities. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities after using the student worksheet. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning-based mathematics student worksheet developed is feasible to use, practical to implement, and effective in improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based application for Internal Quality Audit at Universitas Ibnu Sina, replacing the conventional audit process which is currently in use. The previous manual audit process resulted in inefficiencies and increased the risk of errors. Key challenges identified include limitations in human resources, time, and funding, as well as the low effectiveness of the audit process. In order to address these issues, the proposed information system facilitates the distribution of online checklists and document uploads, thereby expediting the verification and reporting audit results. This research adopts the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach in its development, utilizing methods that include use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and database design. These methods enhance interaction and workflow within the audit team. Testing results indicate that the system functions to the expected specifications. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that implementing a web-based system can accelerate reporting, improve the structure and documentation of audits, and support efforts to enhance academic quality at the university. Implementing this system is expected to increase efficiency and accuracy in the academic quality audit process at Universitas Ibnu Sina.

Abstract

In today's global era, learning history faces great challenges and is required to contribute to further developing awareness of nation and homeland for students. Lack of understanding of the history and culture of the nation, such as students who do not understand the history and culture of their nation tend to be difficult to develop an attitude of nationalism, especially the declining learning outcomes of history. The challenge for history teachers to follow up on the decline in learning outcomes is to utilize information and communication technology to bridge the problem of declining learning outcomes in class XI SMA country 14 Bandar Lampung by developing CTL-based history learning e-comics media. This study aims to 1) analyze the potential and conditions, 2) know the development process, 3) know the effectiveness and 4) analyze the attractiveness of the development of e-comic media based on contextual teaching and learning to improve the learning outcomes of class XI history at SMA country 14 Bandar Lampung. This research is a development research (R&D) using the ADDIE approach, data collection techniques using Observation, Interview Questionnaires and tests, the sample used in this study amounted to 30 students of class XI SMA country 14 Bandar Lampung, which were randomly selected. The results of the study are known 1) Potential and development conditions Based on the decline in student learning outcomes, the need for digital-based media with the context of involvement from students as learners. 2) The results of the validation of media experts, material experts, design experts, small groups, practitioners and implementation in large groups, show that the development of e-comic media for learning history based on contextual teaching and learning is feasible to be implemented in history learning. 3) The effectiveness of the development of CTL-based history e-comics received a fairly effective response with an N-Gain value of 68.35, and had an effect on improving student learning outcomes with a value of 0.003 <0.005 4) The attractiveness of product development can be classified as interesting with an average respondent response of 86.00%.
