Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal's strategy in utilizing social media to enhance communication and collaboration among teachers, parents, and students at SDN 2 Suangi. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that the strategy began with a needs and readiness survey among school stakeholders, followed by selecting WhatsApp as the main communication platform due to its accessibility, familiarity, and cost-effectiveness. Social media was proven effective in accelerating two-way communication and increasing parental involvement. Despite challenges such as low digital literacy and uneven participation, the strategy successfully fostered a collaborative atmosphere and strengthened student learning support at home and school. These results highlight the importance of wisely integrating social media into school communication management, considering accessibility, digital education, and proper supervision. In addition, a well-planned integration of social media can serve as a reference for school principals in optimizing technology-based communication management within elementary education settings.

Asian J Agric 9: 739-753. Rapid urban population growth has significantly increased Municipal Organic Waste (MOW) generation, creating ecological challenges but also opportunities for sustainable land rehabilitation. In Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia, post mining degradation is a critical environmental issue that requires innovative restoration strategies. This study examined the application of MOW as a soil amendment, combined with Soil Tillage (ST), to improve chemical properties of degraded post-mining soils. A Box-Behnken design under Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was used to evaluate the effect of tillage depth (5-15 cm), Incubation Time (IT) (60-120 days) and waste dosage (20-60 t ha-1), resulting in 17 treatment combinations. The MOW included food scraps, vegetable residues, and fruit waste, excluding fish and shrimp residues. Soil analysis covered pH, Organic Carbon (OC), Total Nitrogen (TN), C/N ratio, available phosphorous (P), potassium (K), Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), and Base Saturation (BS). The optimal condition was identified at 15 cm tillage depth, 103.48 days incubation, and 36.48 t ha-¹ waste, resulting in improvements in the characteristics of post–coal mining soil (pH: 7.43; OC: 1.26%; TN: 0.17%; C/N: 7.58; P: 36.34 ppm; K: 168.73 ppm; CEC: 15.54 me 100-¹ g; BISA: 96.61.

Abstract

The teacher's personality is one of the important factors for the success of learning, especially Islamic Religious Education learning which contains many values of faith and student behavior. Islamic education teachers become one of the important factors that can affect the success of education. Instilling faith and good morals, can only be done by teachers who have good personality. For this reason, this study aims to reveal how the personality that teachers should have, especially basic education teachers. The data collection in this study is observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed using data analysis including; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. While the results of this study are; The personal characteristics of Islamic Religious Education teachers include; have good morals, discipline, and responsiveness. Besides that; 1) have a high concern for students by not discriminating against each other, acting fairly and not favoritism. 2) have firmness and authority, and compassion 3) have a good personality shown by behavior in accordance with Islamic values (good morals).

Abstract

Abstract   Background: Chemotherapy is a primary treatment modality for cancer patients; however, it is frequently associated with various side effects that significantly affect patients’ physical, psychological, and social well-being. These side effects influence not only treatment outcomes but also patients lived experiences during therapy. Understanding patients’ experiences is essential for improving patient-centred cancer care. Purpose: To explore cancer patients’ experiences related to chemotherapy side effects based on recent scientific evidence. Method: A systematic literature review was conducted using Google Scholar and PubMed databases. Articles published between 2019 and 2024 that focused on cancer patients’ experiences of chemotherapy side effects were selected according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Twenty eligible studies were included. The findings revealed that chemotherapy side effects are experienced multidimensionally, including physical symptoms, psychological distress, social limitations, and spiritual coping, which collectively affect patients’ quality of life. Conclusion: Chemotherapy side effects profoundly influence cancer patients’ experiences beyond physical symptoms. Holistic and patient-centred care approaches are essential to address these complex needs. Keywords: Cancer; Chemotherapy; Patient Experience.

Abstract

Micro social movements in rural areas represent collective community responses to persistent social inequality, particularly when formal interventions fail to address local needs. This study explores how informal empowerment practices function as micro social movements that are adaptive, community-based, and grounded in local agency. A Systematic Literature Review was conducted following identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and synthesis using Snyder’s guidelines. A total of 22 selected articles were analyzed through content analysis to examine patterns, strategies, and impacts of informal empowerment in addressing inequality. The findings indicate that micro social movements emerge through the interaction of social capital, informal structures, micro social innovations, and community participation. Social capital serves as the primary foundation enabling collective action, while informal structures such as self-help groups and traditional institutions act as social learning spaces. Social innovations, including digital technology adoption and local economic initiatives, enhance community capacity to respond to inequality. The study concludes that informal empowerment plays a strategic role in strengthening rural social resilience and fostering community autonomy. Structural implications include strengthening village policy frameworks, integrating digital technology, enhancing local leadership capacity, and promoting multi-actor collaboration to sustain micro social movements

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dimensi-dimensi kunci dalam kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia serta merumuskan strategi yang tepat guna mengatasi kesenjangan antara cita-cita pendidikan berkualitas dengan realita di lapangan. Kualitas pendidikan merupakan faktor penentu kemajuan negara, namun skor PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) Indonesia secara konsisten menunjukkan posisi yang kurang memuaskan, yang mengindikasikan adanya masalah serius dalam mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka, dengan menganalisis laporan penelitian dan jurnal terakreditasi untuk memetakan kesenjangan berdasarkan tiga dimensi mutu pendidikan: Input, Proses, dan Output/Outcome. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesenjangan dimensi input ditunjukkan pada kualitas guru yang rendah, dan kurikulum nasional cenderung sering berganti dan fragmentatif. Sementara pada dimensi proses kesenjangan terjadi pada pembelajaran yang didominasi oleh metode monoton dan kurang inovatif, sehingga kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Adapun pada dimensi Output kesenjangan ditandai dengan kemampuan literasi peserta didik yang sangat rendah, degradasi karakter, serta adanya kesenjangan keterampilan (skill gap) antara lulusan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan tersebut berfokus pada perbaikan dimensi Input, seperti: perbaikan sistem rekrutmen guru; program pengembangan SDM guru berkelanjutan; stabilitas dan penyederhanaan kurikulum; pemerataan sarana dan prasarana terutama di daerah 3T, dan Proses yang meliputi: peningkatan inovasi pembelajaran; penguatan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi peserta didik manajemen (strategis dan teknis) yang menciptakan iklim kerja inklusif dan mendorong kreativitas guru di sekolah. Strategi komprehensif ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas output pendidikan Indonesia agar melahirkan lulusan yang kompeten dalam aspek sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan, serta mampu bersaing secara global.
