Abstract

Background: Strengthening work culture grounded in service quality is critical for improving patient satisfaction, particularly in public healthcare settings. However, gaps persist in its consistent implementation among health workers and administrative staff. Objective: This study aimed to formulate a strategy for reinforcing a service quality–based work culture to enhance patient satisfaction at Sayang Hospital, Cianjur Regency. Methods: A qualitative case study was conducted using a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, with source triangulation applied for validation. Informants included hospital management, medical personnel (doctors and nurses), administrative staff, and patients. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results: The service quality–based work culture at Sayang Hospital remains partial and inconsistently practiced. Patient satisfaction was rated as moderate, with recurring complaints concerning communication, service speed, and staff empathy. Key barriers included a weak quality-oriented performance evaluation system, insufficient training on service excellence, and limited transformational leadership among managers. Conclusion: To strengthen work culture, the study proposes an integrated strategy comprising continuous values-based training and coaching, embedding service quality indicators into performance management, and implementing a balanced reward-and-sanction system to promote patient-centered professionalism.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), as crucial educational institutions, face significant challenges in the modern era, where teacher performance is often hampered by a work culture that is not yet optimal. This research aims to formulate and analyze effective strategies for transforming the work culture of pesantren. Using a qualitative exploratory case study method, this research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Baiturrahman and several other pesantren in Bandung Regency, with data collected through in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), observations, and documentation studies. The research results indicate that the suboptimal work culture and teacher performance stem from systemic weaknesses in six areas: management, human resources (HR), processes, policies, technology utilization, and the culture itself. As a solution, this research proposes a transformation strategy centered on the concepts of “BAROKAH Management” (blessing management), “DIGEMARI Personality” (liked personality), and the application of local wisdom “7U & 4K.” The main contribution of this research is the formulation of the “3 in One Work Culture” model, a new framework that integrates noble Islamic values, modern professional management standards, and Sundanese local wisdom. This model offers a holistic and contextual strategic guide for pesantren to build a superior work culture to achieve sustainable improvement in teacher performance.

Abstract

Human resource development for Generation Alpha is based on the concepts of education and technology, due to daily habits that are closely linked to technology. However, the work abilities of Generation Alpha, characterized by their adaptability to technology and strong desire to learn, are not yet fully balanced due to a lack of soft skills such as communication, leadership, and social empathy. Respondents in this study were taken from secondary school students born after 2010. Using a verifiable quantitative research method based on literature studies, it was revealed that the variable of psychological well-being functions as a mediator between digital literacy and work readiness as well as soft skills and work readiness.  It is understood that optimal digital and social skills for use in the workplace also depend on mental balance and the ability to manage stress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Empowerment Strategy of Creative Industry MSMEs to Increase Competitiveness in the Digital Era in the Wood Processing Industry in South Tangerang City. This research method uses qualitative methods, gaining an in-depth understanding of data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. Semi-structured interviews based on a predetermined interview guide were conducted with several informants from creative industry MSMEs in South Tangerang City, the MSME Association, KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) in the South Tangerang region, the South Tangerang MSME and Cooperative Office, and expert judgment from academics and experts in their fields. The analysis of the interviews indicates that the empowerment of e-commerce-based creative industry MSMEs in the wood processing sector in South Tangerang is still suboptimal, as evidenced by minimal government support, limited capital, limited digital marketing, and various operational constraints such as product quality, raw materials, and machine breakdowns. Although some MSMEs are able to retain customers through quality service, their overall competitiveness remains low due to technological limitations and market changes. A SWOT analysis revealed that MSMEs possess strengths in product quality and customer relationships, as well as opportunities from the growing digital market. However, they still face the threat of competition and fluctuating raw material prices. Therefore, the SWOT strategy emphasizes the need to maximize strengths and opportunities while addressing weaknesses and threats to increase MSME competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Character education plays a vital role in shaping students' social behavior and national identity in Indonesia's diverse cultural landscape. This study aims to analyze the implementation strategy of the Nyantri Nyunda character education model in Pasundan Senior High Schools in Bandung using an educational management approach. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving in-depth interviews, observations, documentation, and focus group discussions with key stakeholders including school principals, teachers, students, and foundation representatives. The findings reveal that while educational management structures are in place, the integration of Nyantri Nyunda values into the curriculum and student behavior remains inconsistent due to gaps in planning, implementation, and evaluation. These values, rooted in Sundanese culture and Islamic teachings, emphasize humility, respect, discipline, and moral integrity—principles essential for holistic student development. However, challenges such as limited teacher competence in value-based education, insufficient parental and community involvement, and inadequate learning resources hinder optimal outcomes. Furthermore, the absence of a standardized framework for integrating local wisdom into school programs contributes to fragmented practices across institutions. Strategic recommendations emphasize the need for participative management that involves all stakeholders in decision-making, continuous professional development for teachers to strengthen their cultural and pedagogical competence, and stronger collaboration between schools, families, and local communities. Enhancing character education through a culturally responsive lens not only strengthens student identity but also reinforces social cohesion and moral citizenship. This study contributes to broader educational discourse by highlighting the potential of local wisdom-based models in promoting character formation aligned with national educational goals.
