Abstract

Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a system used to organize and supervise production chain management, with the aim of managing the inventory of raw materials, components, and finished products in the manufacturing or production process. CV. XYZ has problems related to production delays caused by lack of raw material inventory. This study aims to ensure the right ordering schedule and minimize ordering costs at CV. XYZ by using the MRP method and lot sizing techniques, where the lot sizing techniques used are Least Unit Cost (LUC) and Least Total Cost (LTC). Based on the results of MRP calculations using the Least Unit Cost lot sizing technique, the total cost is Rp2,235,127 while the MRP method with Least Total Cost is Rp. 1,936,651. Thus, the MRP method with Least Total Cost has a smaller total cost than Least Unit Cost, so this is an effective solution in planning the inventory of animal feed raw materials at CV. XYZ.

Abstract

Mount Merapi, located in Indonesia, is an active volcano that poses a significant threat to the surrounding communities. Vegetables, including chili, are grown in the disaster-prone areas surrounding Mount Merapi, despite the risks associated with the active volcano. Based on the prevailing wind patterns in the region, the disaster-prone areas surrounding Mount Merapi have been classified into four distinct zones, namely Zones I, II, III, and IV, each characterized by distinct agroecosystems, feasibility, and risk levels. Therefore, this study aimed to describe agroecosystems, costs, income, feasibility, and risks of chili farming in in the four zones surrounding Mount Merapi. The samples of this study consist of 163 farmers from the four disaster-prone zones surrounding Mount Merapi, selected through purposive sampling. The RC ratio was employed as part of the feasibility analysis, and the production and income risks were analyzed. The results showed that chili farming in Zone IV (the area farthest from the disaster center) possessed the lowest cost, revenue, and income. On the contrary, Zone III generated the highest cost and revenue, while Zone I (the area with the highest vulnerability to disasters) had the highest income. The range of R/C values ranges from 2.40 in Zone I to 1.16 in Zone IV. Considering the results, chili farming was feasible in disaster-prone areas, where the production risk was lower than the income risk. Therefore, Zone I, the area with extremely high disaster risk, had the lowest production and income risk. This study highlighted that chili farming provides benefits to the vulnerable farmers and new perspective for agricultural sustainability in the area of Mount Merapi.

Abstract

This researcher aims to map and analyze the customer loyalty and satisfaction of Antam's Precious Metal (LM) products through four categories of the Kano model. These include one dimensional or performance needs, must be or basic needs, attractive or excitement needs, and indifferent needs. This is a qualitative research with data obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. The study shows that the value of customer loyalty and satisfaction in Precious Metal products, referring to the Kano model analysis, is included in the one-dimensional or performance requirements. Here, the level of satisfaction is directly proportional to the performance attributes. This means that the performance attributes can affect the level of customer satisfaction. Pure Gold, as an Antam’s Precious Metal products, is not considered as must-be or basic needs. It is regarded as attractive or excitement needs due to the rapid development of PT. Antam which is strongly influenced by the quality and development of its product attributes, especially the precious metal products. This study proposes the formation of classification of customer satisfaction using the Kano model and customer loyalty so that it provides benefits in terms of the classification of customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Jamu, a traditional Indonesian herbal medicine, is widely used in traditional healing practices nationwide, including the Banyumas Regency. The Indonesian government has implemented restrictions that forbid the inclusion of medicinal compounds in jamu, as their unregulated usage poses possible health hazards. Cyproheptadine hydrochloride is a frequently encountered medicinal component in appetite-stimulating herbs. However, the extent of adulteration of cyproheptadine hydrochloride in appetite-stimulating herbs marketed in Banyumas Regency is undisclosed. This study purposed to analyze and quantify the presence of cyproheptadine hydrochloride in appetite-stimulating herbs that are available for sale in the Banyumas Regency. The aim was to inform customers about these herbs' possible pharmaceutical ingredient content. The study utilized a qualitative analysis of thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and a quantitative analysis with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Fourteen samples of appetite-stimulating herbs in powdered, capsule, and tablet forms were gathered from different areas within the Banyumas Regency. Qualitative analysis revealed cyproheptadine hydrochloride in two herbal samples, SNM TG and SNM AM. The quantitative examination revealed that the content of cyproheptadine hydrochloride in SNM TG was 10.92 mg/5g, whereas in SNM AM, it was 7.93 mg/5g. These findings indicate that there have been breaches of regulations, and individuals who ingest these herbs may be susceptible to health problems. Further investigation is required to analyze a broader range of appetite-stimulating herbal samples, particularly those in liquid form, to ascertain the level of contamination with cyproheptadine hydrochloride and provide essential data for health regulations.
