Abstract

The village of Malang Rapat is one of the areas with high enough fishery products, of course, it has enormous potential in developing fishery product processing businesses. In the village of Malang Rapat, there is a fishery product processing business, namely the Atomic Cracker Business. This study aims to analyze operating costs, income. This study aims to analyze operating costs, income, and breakeven points. The research method used is the description. Sampling was carried out by census, namely an Emi atomic cracker business. The types and sources of data used consist of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the total cost of processing fishery products (Emi Atomic Crackers) in the village of Malang Rapat, Bintan Regency, was Rp357,559,100 per year. Was Rp357.559.100 per year. The income earned is Rp1.085.512.900 per year. Overall, the results of the calculation of fishery product processing business income (Emi Atomic Crackers) in the Village of Malang Rapat, Bintan Regency, generated considerable income during 2021 and could cover the costs incurred in the production process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the early reading ability of third-grade elementary school students through the use of serial picture media in Indonesian language learning. The focus of the study includes the ability to recognize picture sequences, read simple sentences, and compose stories based on a series of pictures. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of the third-grade homeroom teacher and third-grade students at SDN 28 Kelakik. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain an in-depth understanding of the learning process and outcomes. The results indicate that serial picture media help students understand picture sequences more systematically, improve accuracy and fluency in reading simple sentences, and support students’ ability to compose simple stories based on pictures. Overall, serial picture media contribute positively to improving the early reading ability of third-grade students.

Abstract

Background: Stunting cases occur worldwide, with many toddlers in various countries experiencing stunting and chronic malnutrition. Data from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in 2020 showed that 22% of all children globally, or approximately 149.2 million children, suffered from stunting. According to the Indonesian Nutritional Status Study (SSGI), the prevalence of stunted toddlers in Indonesia was 24.4% in 2021. In 2021, West Kalimantan ranked seventh nationally with a stunting prevalence rate among toddlers of 29.8%. Sambas Regency is one of the districts with the highest number of stunting cases in West Kalimantan, with as many as 5,500 stunted toddlers. Objective: To explore the experiences of families in caring for stunted toddlers in Sambas Regency. Methods: This research is a qualitative study using a phenomenological approach. Five participants were involved in this study, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. Results: The study identified seven themes: sources of information, feelings, challenges in child care, support for child care, difficulties related to children’s eating, food selection for children, and sources of water for consumption. Conclusion: Eating difficulties among children were found to be one of the main contributing factors to stunting in this study. Parenting style is a crucial factor in children's growth and development. It is essential to implement good parenting practices so that children receive adequate nutrition for optimal growth and to prevent stunting. A limitation of this study is that the researcher led the participants toward the options being asked and did not brief the research assistant before conducting interviews.
