Abstract

One of the University of Indonesia policies in cultivating religious moderation in its students is the implementation of deradicalization curriculum. This research is very important because the results of this research can be used as a reference in efforts to eradicate extremism among students who, as we know, are prospective intellectuals and national leaders in the future. The aim of this research is to finding out to what extent the implementation of deradicalization curriculum in Islamic Religious Education at the University of Indonesia is able in cultivating religious moderation among it'snew Muslim students in 2023. By using descriptive research methods with a quantitative approach, the author found that the data analysis that the author carried out showed that correlation coefficient value (rxy) = 1. This correlation analysis showed that the correlation between deradicalization curriculum and religious moderation of Muslim students who have just entered the University of Indonesia in 2023 have a perfect relationship. Meanwhile, with an error level of 0.05 and a total of N=7.530, the x and y correlation significance test showed that tcalculated is 0.58 whereas ttable is 0.1966. Interpretation of this correlation significant test of these two variables showed that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a significant relationship between deradicalization curriculum in Islamic Religious Education and religious moderation of Muslim students who have just entered the University of Indonesia in 2023. The implication of this research results is that the deradicalization curriculum in Islamic religious education that has been implemented by the University of Indonesia can be a guide for other similar universities in cultivating religious moderation among their students.

Abstract

This service activity focuses on training in preparing financial reports for pesantren in Kudus using the Pesantren  Accounting Guidelines. The absence of financial management (accounting) expertise among administrative staff in pesantren and the shortage of financial administration personnel are issues faced by aided partners. On the other hand, pesantren are still unfamiliar with the requirements and expectations of compiling financial reports due to the government's lack of socialization over the pesantren accounting guidelines. The approach used in this service is community development practice, a community service methodology founded on community and maximizing available resources to establish long-term continuity, is the strategy employed in this service. Accompanied partners include thirteen pesantren and Rabithah Maahid Islamiyah Kudus Regency.  The result of this service is the awakening of awareness of the importance of preparing financial reports for pesantren entities; increasing the competency of Islamic boarding school financial administration staff in the field of accounting, increasing the ability of pesantren in preparing financial reports including net asset change statement, cash flow statement and also financial position statement.

Abstract

This study focuses on the issues: social contextual factors approach which analyzes the participants in the interaction and the communicative situation and politeness which analyzes the respect that an individual has for himself or herself, and maintaining the "self-esteem" in public or in private situations. This is a qualitative study. The data of this study are conversation texts. Units of analysis in this study are texts. The texts were analyzed based on the social contextual factors and politeness. In calculating the data and the final result of data percentage, quantification will be used to support this study. The result shows that there are two politeness strategies that occurred in the conversation texts, positive and negative. The speech functions of the transactional conversation texts are 54.5% matching the standard of content, the speech functions of the interpersonal conversation texts are 2.1% matching the standard of content, the linguistic feature applied in the transactional and interpersonal conversation texts uses the linguistic feature in functional literacy level, the speech functions of conversation texts introduced in EOS English on Sky 2 for junior high school grade VIII are less compatible with the standard of content based on the compatibility levels. This shows that this textbook's choice is less appropriate for users who emphasize interpersonal conversation texts.

Abstract

Cultural components or elements in textbooks are essential in supporting intercultural competence. By providing textbooks with text containing cultural elements and cross-cultural competence, a language learner is not only prepared linguistically but also culturally. Some English textbooks in Indonesia emphasize cultural and intercultural competence to support their content, as proficiency in English requires intercultural competence. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze cultural and intercultural competence in a textbook. A descriptive qualitative method and content analysis technique are used in this research. The theories used to analyze the textbook are Xiao's, Cortazzi and Jin's, and Byram's theories. The textbook analyzed is an English textbook entitled “Bahasa Inggris” 2018 grade XII issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. This research shows that there are cultural contents depicted in several cultural themes, they are Big “C” and little “c” culture, by using Xiao’s theory. Then, by using Cortazzi and Jin’s theory, they represent 3 types of culture, namely source culture/local culture, target culture, and international culture. According to Bryram’s theory, intercultural competence has been found in the form of pictures, texts, and tasks. This competence includes knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The display of cultural themes in the textbook dominates. The results of intercultural competence showed that the skills category dominates, but critical cultural awareness is not found. The cultural contents represented in the textbook mostly adopt Indonesian local culture, and the textbook has met the competence categories required by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, even though it has not met the intercultural competence category conceptualized by Byram because of the absence of critical awareness category on task material in the textbook.

Abstract

Desa Gebang Ilir merupakan desa pesisir yang memiliki potensi wilayah dan produksi garam laut yang cukup besar di Kabupaten Cirebon yaitu sebesar 240 ton/tahun, namun besarnya potensi garam laut yang ada didaerah sekitar belum banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah sebuah Tim Penggerak PKK di wilayah pesisir Desa Gebang Ilir. Pemberdayaan yang telah dilakukan melalui program pokok PKK di Desa Gebang Ilir diantaranya yaitu kesehatan, pendidikan dan keterampilan namun masih dalam lingkup kegiatan masyarakat ekonomi non produktif. Tim pengusul membuat gagasan pelatihan dengan penerapan alat TTG yang bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan, keahlian dan keterampilan mitra dalam mengembangkan inovasi serta meningkatkan ekonomi kreatif melalui produktivitas kelompok usaha Ibu PKK di Desa Gebang Ilir dari pemanfaatan garam laut yang ada di daerah sekitar menjadi produk Tepat Guna. Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan sabun cair NU Klin di Desa Gebang Ilir selain dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam menghasilkan produk kreatif dari garam laut tetapi juga dapat meningkatkan motivasi dalam berwirausaha. Selain itu mitra dapat mengembangkan diri secara aktif dan kreatif dalam memanfaatkan garam laut yang ada di daerah sekitar sebagai penguatan masyarakat pesisir dalam menyongsong era society 5.0.

Abstract

This research is aimed at looking at scientific interpretation method in Indonesia and its application. The literature that is the object of this research is a book entitled Time in the Perspective of the Qur'an and Science which was written by a group of ulama and scientists from Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur'an and the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). This research belongs to the type of library research, where the data source is obtained from books and papers. In analyzing research objects, the author uses the formulation of the scientific interpretation method written by Abdul Jabbar Saqa and the author of the book Time in the Perspective of the Qur'an and Science. From the results of this research, it was found that the book Time in the Perspective of the Qur'an and Science was written by popular scholars in Indonesia: tafsir scholars and scientists. From all the descriptions it is understood that this book pays attention to aspects of linguistic rules, al-Qur'an sciences, and the interpretations of previous scholars. This book of tafsir also separates interpretation and scientific findings, both of which are different. Scientific findings are not interpretations of the Qur'an, but are part of the expansion of the Qur'an's instructions where changes to the findings will not affect the sanctity of the Qur'an.

Abstract

One of the factors in achieving student learning outcomes is scientific reasoning abilities (Scientific Reasoning) which will help students understand the main concepts of science. However, the PISA study categorized Indonesian students' scientific reasoning abilities as low, ranking 70th out of 78 countries in science and mathematics. This research aims to develop LKPD based on Learning Cycle 5E assisted by PhET Simulation that is valid, practical and effective. The type of research developed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The research subjects were students of class IX semester 1 at SMPN 1 Jenggawah. The research data was analyzed based on several criteria. The results of the LKPD development obtained validity test results with a score of 91% (very valid). The practicality test results obtained an average score of 92.5% (practical). The results of the effectiveness test obtained an average N-Gain of 0.67 (medium). Based on the research findings, LKPD based on Learning Cycle 5E assisted by PhET Simulation can provide innovation in learning resources as an alternative to improve the scientific reasoning abilities of junior high school students.

Abstract

Development and Validation of Google Sites Technology-Assisted Student Worksheet to Increase Students’ Collaboration Skills in Science Learning in Junior High School. This research is based on the problem of collaboration skills of students in class VIII F SMP Negeri 6 Jember which is still low in science learning conducted by observation. One way to overcome this is to develop E-LKPD assisted by Google Sites to improve students' collaboration skills. The purpose of the study was to examine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of E-LKPD assisted by Google Sites to enhance student collaboration skills in science learning. The research design uses Research and Development (R&D) with the Plomp development model which includes preliminary research, prototyping stage, and evaluation stage. Products that have been developed, get a validation score of 94% with a very valid category. Practicality is 96.83% with a very practical category. The effectiveness of E-LKPD is 63% with the results of the N-gain test with a moderate category, 77% self-assessment with a high category in collaboration, and 88% student response questionnaire with a very good category. The results of this study can conclude that E-LKPD assisted by Google Sites can be said to be valid, practical, and effective in learning science in junior high school.

Abstract

Pembelajaran mufradat adalah merupakan materi yang paling awal harus diajarkan kepada para pembelajar Bahasa Arab. Karena penutur Bahasa Asing yang baik adalah mereka yang menguasai banyak mufradat atau kosakata dari Bahasa Asing tertentu sehingga ia bisa berkomunikasi dengan penutur bahasa aslinya. Oleh karenanya pengajaran kosakata adalah pengajaran yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Termasuk di TPQ Roudlotul Athfal Wonosari Gunungkidul, semua santrinya sedari dini diajarkan untuk mengenal, menghafal, dan menguasai mufradat Bahasa Arab. Melalui penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif ini akan dipaparkan tentang bagaimana ustadz ustadzah di TPQ Roudlotul Athfal Wonosari Gunungkidul mengajarkan mufradat Bahasa Arab menggunakan metode bernyanyi dengan Kitab Nadzam “Ra’sun Sirah” sebagai buku ajar yang menjadi acuan pengajarannya. Melalui metode bernyanyi dengan menggunakan Kitab Nadzam “Ra’sun Sirah” tersebut, para santri TPQ Roudlotul Athfal Wonosari Gunungkidul dapat dengan mudah menguasai banyak menambah perbendaharaan mufradat Bahasa Arab mereka.
