Abstract

Background. The development of digital technology has changed the paradigm of foreign language education, but existing e-learning platforms are still not fully able to accommodate the diversity of individual needs of students. Purpose. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of adaptive e-learning platforms that are able to dynamically adjust learning content based on students' characteristics, learning styles, and English language skills. Method. The results showed a significant increase in English language competence in the experimental group with an average score increase of 23.2 points. Statistical analysis revealed a positive correlation between content personalization and learning motivation (p<0.01). Adaptive platforms have been proven to be effective in lowering language anxiety and increasing students' confidence. Results. The conclusion of the study confirms the transformative potential of adaptive technology in foreign language education. A platform that integrates artificial intelligence, psychological approaches, and innovative pedagogical is able to create a personalized and meaningful learning experience. Conclusion. The study concludes that mobile-compatible e-learning platforms can effectively support ELLs, providing an engaging and accessible learning environment that enhances language proficiency. Further research is recommended to explore long-term retention rates and the impact of additional personalized features.

Abstract

Education is a community need that is expected to create quality human beings, to realize these expectations formally education is held in schools. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance at SDN Rawakidang. The method in this study used qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the research of the principal as the head of the school conduct training and education and invite sources from outside related to KBM and according to the 2013 curriculum, always provide direction and motivation to teachers to use active methods, always supervise when the teacher is carrying out the teaching and learning process at school. class, provide guidance to teachers and education staff, the principal asks to be present 20 minutes earlier than the students and wait for students in front of the class. conclusion The role of the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance at SDN Rawakidang is to provide a democratic, disciplined attitude, and control each class during the teaching and learning process, democratic attitudes are sought to eliminate distrust in solving problems in the classroom. as well as at school, and a disciplined attitude is sought to provide a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

The research problem is low learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. The reason is that students find it difficult to understand concepts, learning is monotonous, less involved, slow to think and teachers have not used varied models. Efforts to overcome this with the "LEBAH" model (Problem Based Learning, Example Non Example & Make A Match). The purpose of this study is to describe teacher activity, to analyze the increase in student activity, learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. Qualitative and quantitative approaches. CAR is carried out in 4 meetings, class IV B at SDN Manarap Lama 1, 23 students in 2022/2023. Qualitative data analysis techniques observation sheet activities of teachers, students and critical thinking skills, while quantitative data measures learning outcomes. The results show that the teacher's activity gets 100%. Student activity gets 100%. Cognitive learning outcomes get 96%, affective get 96% and psychomotor get 96%. Critical thinking skills gain 96%. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the LEBAH model can improve learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. It is suggested that this model be used as an alternative to improve learning outcomes and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The research aimed to test the blended learning model in Indonesian higher education. To this end, a qualitative approach was adopted, employing a case study method to collect data. This method included in-depth interviews, observations, and a thorough document analysis. This research found that blended learning improves flexibility, engagement, and effectiveness. However, this improvement depends on two key elements. First, a good tech infrastructure. Second, lecturers skilled in using tech tools. We must, however, recognize obstacles that limit this approach's full potential. Impediments include, but are not limited to, disparities in internet access and a lack of training for lecturers to use technology. This study's insights can guide effective blended learning in higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru dalam mendorong kreativitas kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran tematik di kelas V SDI Al-Ashar Kota Tangerang, dengan fokus pada penerapan Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas kognitif siswa, meskipun terdapat hambatan seperti keterbatasan bahan bacaan dan tantangan dalam pengulangan materi. Sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan peningkatan kreativitas, namun sekitar 20% siswa masih memerlukan dukungan tambahan. Peran guru sebagai fasilitator sangat penting dalam menjaga motivasi dan memastikan perkembangan kreativitas siswa.Kata Kunci: kreativitas kognitif, pembelajaran tematik, Project-Based Learning, strategi pembelajaran

Abstract

Swearing is a sociolinguistic phenomenon that is very often found in everyday life. It is not only found in real life, but swearing is very easy to get in cyberspace, especially in the entertainment industry. This study focuses on sociolinguistic analysis which discusses cursing or swearing in one of the entertainment industries, namely Stand-Up Comedy which is used by female comic artists. The subject of this research is a female comic artist of Vietnamese, Chinese and American descent named Ali Wong. Ali Wong was used in this study because she brings up social issues which are quite sensitive such gender role such us motherhood and marriage, she used to swear in front of the audience as an expression of her personal social problems. The purpose of this study is to find out the types of swearing used by Ali Wong, then from these types this study tries to examine how Ali uttered the swearing words. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, especially in observation and note-taking techniques. The data taken is data from Ali Wong's video collection on the Netflix platform, namely Ali Wong: Don Wong (2022) based on Ljung's theory (2011) which explains swearing words specifically and detail about swearing words. The collection process found approximately 33 swear words uttered by Ali Wong from the selected videos. This type of slot filler is the type that appears most often with an emphasis function that occupies the part level that is most widely used, such as fuck, shit.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is considered a critical period in the life cycle due to the transition from childhood to adulthood, which is often filled with emotional turbulence. Adolescents experience very rapid changes both physically and emotionally, making them susceptible to the negative impacts of these maturation changes. One of the three main issues in adolescent reproductive health, namely sexuality issues, is greatly influenced by the lack of knowledge adolescents have about their reproductive health. The aim is to determine the effectiveness of reproductive health counseling for adolescents. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a Pre-test and Post-test design, using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The research was conducted in February with a sample of 35 students from MTs AL-IHSAN, Padang Tikar Village, West Kalimantan. The research results show that the knowledge of adolescents after being given counseling on reproductive health is mostly in the good category with a p-value of 0.001. Which means that counseling on adolescents is effective after it has been conducted. Conclusion Based on the results of this study, there is a significant change in the knowledge of adolescents before and after the counseling was conducted.

Abstract

Islamic religious education plays a very important role in shaping the character of Muslims and preventing the spread of intolerance and extremism in Indonesia. The country of Indonesia, which is known for its diversity, faces big challenges in maintaining harmony between religious communities, especially related to the emergence of radical ideologies which often use the name of religion. This research aims to examine the role of Islamic religious education in fighting intolerance and extremism in Indonesia. It is hoped that the moderation approach (wasathiyah) in Islamic religious education can be a solution to overcome beliefs that lead to violence and injustice. Religious education based on peaceful Islamic teachings and respect for diversity can help the younger generation to avoid exclusive and radical attitudes. Apart from that, it is hoped that the integration of Pancasila values ​​in Islamic religious education can strengthen the sense of nationality and strengthen commitment to tolerance between religious communities. Through good education, religious teachers have a key role in instilling attitudes of tolerance and moderation, as well as guiding students to understand religious teachings correctly. This research concludes that moderate Islamic religious education, based on the Islamic values ​​of rahmatan lil-alamin, is very important to prevent radicalization and promote a peaceful, harmonious and inclusive life in Indonesia. Abstrak Pendidikan agama Islam memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter umat Muslim dan mencegah penyebaran intoleransi serta ekstremisme di Indonesia. Negara Indonesia, yang dikenal dengan keberagamannya, menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menjaga harmoni antarumat beragama, terutama terkait dengan munculnya paham radikal yang sering kali mengatasnamakan agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam memerangi intoleransi dan ekstremisme di Indonesia. Pendekatan moderasi (wasathiyah) dalam pendidikan agama Islam diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi untuk menanggulangi paham-paham yang mengarah pada kekerasan dan ketidakadilan. Pendidikan agama yang berbasis pada ajaran Islam yang damai dan menghargai keberagaman dapat membantu generasi muda untuk menghindari sikap eksklusif dan radikal. Selain itu, integrasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam pendidikan agama Islam diharapkan dapat memperkuat rasa kebangsaan dan memperkuat komitmen terhadap toleransi antarumat beragama. Melalui pendidikan yang baik, guru agama memiliki peran kunci dalam menanamkan sikap toleransi dan moderasi, serta membimbing siswa untuk memahami ajaran agama secara benar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan agama Islam yang moderat, berbasis pada nilai-nilai Islam yang rahmatan lil-alamin, sangat penting untuk mencegah radikalisasi dan mempromosikan kehidupan yang damai, harmonis, dan inklusif di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the two stay two stray (TSTS) learning model on the learning outcomes of grade IV social studies subjects at SDN Kadu Sempur. This research is quantitative research using quasi-experimental research methods with pretest-postest. The population subjects in this study were grade IV students at SD Negeri Kadu Sempur by taking samples of two classes as many as 32 class IV B students as a control class and 32 grade IV A students as an experimental class. So it can be concluded "There is an influence of the two stay two stray learning model on student learning outcomes in grade IV social studies subjects of SDN Kadu Sampur". The results of the hypothesis testing study using paired sample t-test, for testing the posttest hypothesis from the results of the t-test obtained Tcalculate = 5.01. And it can be known the value of ttable 1.66. Based on the hypothesis that has been formulated earlier, it can be known that the calculated value of ttable > then 5.01 > 1.66. Thus H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The advent of the pandemic has prompted changes in the learning motivations of students. This investigation seeks to ascertain how students perceive the relative merits of online and offline modes of learning and their relationship with students' learning motivations. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive methodology. This research design is descriptive with an interview approach, with the objective of eliciting students' perspectives on online and offline learning and their relationship to student learning motivation. The analysis of this study revealed a consensus among the respondents that online learning affords a greater sense of relaxation. Nevertheless, online learning is perceived as a source of boredom and lack of engagement. In contrast, offline learning is associated with a high level of motivation, particularly when students can learn with friends. This negative reaction manifests in students telling stories or engaging in other distracting activities when the teacher presents the learning material. Furthermore, students are easily bored during learning, suggesting that the relaxing experience of online learning has an adverse effect on their attention span in the traditional classroom setting. In light of the students’ perceptions, it is hoped that teachers will be able to create engaging offline learning environments and encourage more student activities with their peers.
