Abstract

Self-development is an important aspect that must be owned by students before entering the career world, because to do self-development, it is not enough if you only get knowledge through formal education. Currently, there are many contents that discuss self-development, one of which is the 'Self Dev by Andreas Bordes' podcast. This makes researchers interested in knowing the influence of podcasts on the level of self-development in Indonesian students. This study uses a quantitative method with an intact group comparison type of research. By distributing questionnaires to both groups of Indonesian students, the results are classified as a control group and an experimental group. The classification results aim to see the difference between the two groups. The researcher conducted hypothesis testing in the form of a Mann-Whitney test for both groups of respondents, with the result that there was a significant difference between the two groups. In addition, the experimental group had a higher total score compared to the control group, so it can be concluded that the 'Self Dev by Andreas Bordes' podcast has an influence on improving the self-development of Indonesian students.

Abstract

In this era, information technology is developing very rapidly, which makes the communication process easier. The internet, which is specifically for social media, has been used massively as a communication tool, the use of which has even reached government institutions as a form of fulfilling the information needs of the public. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of social media Instagram @humas.banjar as providing information for followers. This research applies a quantitative research methodology by distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique in the research used non-probability, namely purposive sampling with a sample of 100 respondents. The results of the correlation coefficient test found that there was a strong, significant and unidirectional relationship with the calculated t value which had a significant influence of 8.178 > t table 1.660. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of the use of social media of 40.6% on fulfilling information needs, the rest is influenced by other factors outside this research. Abstract

Perkembangan media digital yang semakin masiv mempengaruhi peningkatan pengguna, diantaranya media sosial. Penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan akan mengakibatkan terganggunya kesehatan mental seseorang. Beberapa diantaranya adalah munculnya depresi, kecemasan dan tekanan psikologis. Kesehatan mental remaja mendapatkan perhatian serius karena berpengaruh pada Kesehatan fisik dan kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari gambaran penggunaan media sosial dengan kesehatan mental mahasiswa pasca pendemi. Alat ukur yang akan digunakan untuk Skala Kecanduan Media Sosial SMAS-SF, sedangkan untuk mengukur Kesehatan mental menggunakan Skala Kesehatan mental. Penelitian dengan responden mahasiswa tingkat awal ini menghasilkan temuan, sebagian besar mengalami kecanduan media sosial dan bermasalah dengan Kesehatan mental mereka. Kata kunci: media sosial, mental health, kualitas tidur

Abstract

Mathematics is a material that students consider difficult because its concepts are abstract. To overcome this, one approach that can be used is using technology-assisted learning. GeoGebra applet is a technology that is commonly used in mathematics. However, a few studies have discussed the relevance of this study to further research related to GeoGebra applets in mathematics and explore its potential. Therefore, this article discusses the development and integration of GeoGebra Applets in Mathematics Learning. The aim of this research is to investigate the relevance of the study to further research related to GeoGebra applets in mathematics and discuss the potential of these applets in enhancing students’ ability in mathematics learning. The research method used is the Systematic Literature Review method, which analyses articles from 2013 to 2022. The research results show that GeoGebra Applets have been developed in various forms, including applications, ebooks, and assignment applications. The most commonly discussed learning material is geometry, with the potential for further research on other materials. GeoGebra Applets have been proven to help improve students' understanding, representation, problem-solving, and critical and spatial thinking skills in mathematics learning. This application positively contributes to the quality of mathematics learning through various forms of learning, including independent, direct, and innovative learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar siswa SMP mengenai kemampuan koneksi matematis pada materi Statistika, menganalisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal dan mengetahui faktor penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP kelas IX sebanyak 7 orang. Jenis penelitiannya deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari tes tertulis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yaitu siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis tinggi tidak mengalami kesulitan belajar konsep, prinsip dan masalah verbal hanya terdapat kesalahan encoding error dalam mengerjakan soal, siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis sedang sedikit mengalami kesulitan belajar konsep dan prinsip serta melakukan kesalahan transformation error, process skills error, dan encoding error; siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis rendah mengalami kesulitan belajar konsep, prinsip dan masalah verbal serta melakukan kesalahan di semua aspek. Penyebab kesulitan belajar dan kesalahan siswa saat mengerjakan soal yaitu tidak menyukai matematika, malas belajar, guru mengajar terlalu cepat, kelas tidak kondusif, perhatian keluarga, teman pergaulan yang tidak mendukung. This study is to analyze the learning difficulties of junior high school students regarding the mathematical connection ability of the statistics material, to analyze students' errors in solving questions and to find out the factors that cause students to experience learning difficulties. The research subjects were 7 students of grade IX in junior high school. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data obtained from written tests and interviews. The results showed that students with high mathematical connection skills did not have difficulty learning concepts, principles and verbal problems, there were only encoding errors in working on questions, students with moderate mathematical connection skills had a little difficulty learning concepts and principles and made transformation errors, process skills errors. , and encoding errors; students with low mathematical connection skills have difficulty learning concepts, principles and verbal problems and make mistakes in all aspects. The causes of learning difficulties and mistakes of students when working on questions are disliking mathematics, lazy learning, teachers teaching too fast, class is not conducive, family attention, unsupportive friends.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Terdapat aspek penting lain juga yaitu self-confidence (kepercayaan diri), menjadi salah satu sikap yang mendapatkan perhatian. Model pembelajaran yang diduga dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan Self-cofidence pada siswa adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dan Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-confidence antara siswa yang mendapatkan model TPS dan PBL. Metode penelitiannya adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X MAN 2 Garut. Sampel penelitian sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas X MIA-1 sebanyak 29 siswa dan kelas X MIA-3 sebanyak 31 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket self-confidence. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan model TPS dan PBL. Interpretasi self-confidence siswa model TPS dan PBL berada pada kategori cukup. This research is motivated by the low ability to solve mathematical problems. There is also another important aspect, namely self-confidence, which is one of the attitudes that get attention. The learning model that is supposed to be used to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills and self-confidence is the Think Pair Share and Problem Based Learning cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities and self-confidence between students who received the TPS and PBL models. The research method is quasi-experimental with the entire population of class X MAN 2 Garut. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class X MIA-1 as many as 29 students and class X MIA-3 as many as 31 students. The research instrument is a description of the problem-solving ability test and a self-confidence questionnaire. The results of the analysis showed that there was no difference in the achievement and improvement of mathematical problem-solving abilities between students who received the TPS and PBL models. The students' self-confidence interpretation of the TPS and PBL models is in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Kesulitan dalam mempresentasikan ide-ide matematik dalam membuat persamaan matematis atau menggambarkan grafik dari suatu permasalahan yang akan menghambat siswa dalam menentukan penyelesaian dari permasalahan matematika yang diberikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self-confidence pada materi Statistika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Talagasari dengan subjek penelitian 8 siswa kelas VIII SMP/MTs sederajat. Instrumen penelitiannya adalah tes kemampuan representasi matematis, wawancara, dan angket. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa terbagi menjadi 3 kategori, yaitu memiliki kemampuan representasi matematis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa tingkat self-confidence mempengaruhi tingkat kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Difficulty in presenting mathematical ideas in making mathematical equations or drawing graphs of a problem that will hinder students in determining the solution to a given mathematical problem. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical representation abilities in terms of self-confidence in Statistics material. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted in Talagasari Village with 8 students of class VIII SMP/MTs as the research subject. The research instrument is a mathematical representation ability test, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' mathematical representation abilities were divided into 3 categories, namely those with high, medium, and low mathematical representation abilities. This study concludes that the level of self-confidence affects the level of students' mathematical representation abilities.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan kemampuan untuk mengorganisasi pikiran matematika, mengomunikasikan gagasan matematika secara logis dan jelas kepada orang lain, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi pikiran matematika dan strategi yang digunakan orang lain, dan menggunakan bahasa matematika untuk menyatakan ide-ide secara tepat. Pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika kenyataannya harus didukung pula oleh aspek afektif yang turut berperan memberikan kontribusi terhadap keberhasilan belajar seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana kemampuan komunikasi matematis ditinjau dari self-efficacy pada materi Perbandingan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah lima orang siswa kelas VII di Desa Karangpawitan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan, yaitu teknik simple random sampling dengan kriteria pengambilan subjek disesuaikan dengan ketersediaan siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes tertulis, wawancara, dan angket. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa tingkat self-efficacy memengaruhi tingkat kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Mathematical communication skills are the ability to organize mathematical thoughts, communicate mathematical ideas logically and clearly to others, analyze and evaluate mathematical thoughts and strategies used by others, and use mathematical language to express ideas appropriately. The importance of mathematical communication skills in learning mathematics, in fact, must be supported also by affective aspects which also contribute to the success of one's learning. This study aims to analyze how mathematical communication skills in terms of self-efficacy in Comparative material. This research is qualitative research. The research subjects were five seventh grade students in Karangpawitan Village. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique with the criteria for taking the subject according to the availability of students. The instruments used are written test questions, interviews, and questionnaires. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the level of self-efficacy affects the level of students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal verbal/cerita yang berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal materi Fungsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis materi Fungsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pondok pesantren Nurul Huda dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 17 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian berjumlah empat soal dan wawancara. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum memahami bentuk soal secara keseluruhan dan masih mengalami kesulitan dalam proses penyelesaian dan juga penggunaan simbol-simbol matematika. This research is motivated by low mathematical communication skills and students' difficulties in solving verbal/story questions which have an impact on students' low ability to solve Functional problems. This study aims to determine students' difficulties in solving mathematical communication problems in Functions. The research method used in this research is qualitative. The research was carried out at the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School with 9 students as research subjects. The research instrument was a description test with four questions and interviews. The results of the research data analysis showed that students did not understand the form of the problem as a whole and still had difficulties in the completion process and also the use of mathematical symbols.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui alat teknologi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral, peran alat teknologi bagi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral, topik Kalkulus Integral yang sudah dikembangkan dengan alat teknologi, dan visualisasi alat teknologi dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral. Metode yang digunakan adalah SLR menggunakan protokol PRISMA untuk memilih artikel yang memenuhi syarat melalui database Google Scholar periode 2018-2023. Protokol PRISMA berisi empat tahapan yaitu identification, screening, eliglibility, dan include. Dari 93 artikel yang terjaring hanya 5 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria untuk dikaji lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral masih sangat sedikit. The research was conducted to determine the technological tools used in learning Integral Calculus, the role of technological tools for students in learning Integral Calculus, Integral Calculus topics developed using technological tools, and visualization of technological tools in learning Integral Calculus. The method used is SLR using the PRISMA protocol to select eligible articles through the Google Scholar database for 2018-2023. The PRISMA protocol contains four stages, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Of the 93 articles collected, only 5 met the criteria for further study. The research results state that the use of technology in teaching Integral Calculus is still very small.
