Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest needs to grow among university students to increase the number of entrepreneurs in society. Factors such as adversity quotient, learning motivation, and self-confidence can influence entrepreneurial interest. This study aimed to determine the effect of adversity quotient, learning motivation, and self-confidence on entrepreneurial interest. The purposive sampling was used in this study.  Subjects in the study were 240 students in an entrepreneurship course in the Agribusiness Study Programme, Agriculture Faculty, Mulawarman University, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. This study analyzed the validity and reliability of scales, test of normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, formulated the model of multiple linear regression, F test, t test, and calculated adjusted R2. The results of this study indicate that the adversity quotient, learning motivation, and self-confidence significantly influence entrepreneurial interest. Adversity quotient and learning motivation, partially, influence very significantly on entrepreneurial interest. However, self-confidence does not have a significant influence on entrepreneurial interest. Those findings help increase people's motivation to become entrepreneurs, especially young people.

Abstract

Multicultural Indonesia has local wisdom as a marker of national identity, but rapid digitalization—accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic—has changed students' perceptions, rendering cultural values obsolete. This study describes a strategy for cultural preservation by integrating local wisdom into intra- and extracurricular activities in elementary schools. A qualitative design was implemented through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Participants (students, teachers, and principals) were purposively selected in educational units that instill cultural values. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model (reduction, presentation, and verification) and validated through the triangulation of sources and techniques. These local wisdom-based activities foster students' cultural identity while enhancing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The implications of these findings include the need for ongoing policy support, targeted teacher training, and the judicious use of technology to maintain cultural content in digital classrooms. The results indicate that schools function as agents of cultural transmission, as local content is integrated into Javanese Language, Fine Arts, and Civic Education subjects. At the same time, Pencak Silat and Karawitan expand their practices into extracurricular areas. These findings underscore the importance of revitalizing local wisdom as a foundation for character education in today's globalized world.

Abstract

STEAM-PjBL is a learning model that theoretically has the potential to influence elementary school students' self-confidence in learning Mathematics. In addition, low self-confidence is a problem that is often found in schools. This study aims to test the effect of the STEAM-PjBL learning model in mathematics learning on elementary school students' self-confidence.The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental design. The subjects in the study were 35 sixth grade students of SDN Karangrejek I, Kapanewon Wonosari in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. Data collection techniques used observation and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that the hypothesis test of students' self-confidence using the independent sample t-test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) equal variances assumed 0.006 <0.05 so that it can be concluded that there is an influence of the STEAM-PjBL learning model in mathematics learning on the self-confidence of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop elementary student learning agility scale (ESLAS) to measure elementary school students’ perseverance, tenacity, interest, and independence in accomplishing learning process. This study also focused on examining translational validity and internal consistency reliability to construct a valid and reliable scale. There were 90 elementary students chosen using voluntary random sampling as the respondents and five experts invited as the validators. The study developed ESLAS using a five-point Likert’s scaling method with twenty items measured. Data obtained from ESLAS were used to examine internal consistency reliability while data from validation sheet were used to judge content validity index (CVI) and content validity ratio (CVR). Results showed that the developed ESLAS was considered very valid by the validators (CVI = +1.00, CVR = 1.00) and was categorized in a very high reliability (Cronbach’s α = .879). Another result depicted that there was no negative value in inter-item correlation, meaning that all items measured similar construct. The results implied that the developed ESLAS is considered as a valid and reliable scale to measure elementary students’ learning agility.

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of the Flipped Classroom model on student activeness and learning independence in the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was employed. The sample included 30 students in the experimental group who received instruction via the Flipped Classroom model and 29 students in the control group who were taught using the expository method. The research instrument was a questionnaire measuring student activeness and independence, consisting of 18 valid items (r = 0.552–0.957; Sig. < 0.05) and demonstrating high reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.993). The results showed that both experimental and control groups experienced significant improvements in activeness and independence following the intervention, as evidenced by the Paired Samples T-Test (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). However, when comparing the two groups using the Independent Samples T-Test, a significant difference was found in learning independence (Sig. = 0.047 < 0.05), whereas the difference in activeness was not statistically significant (Sig. = 0.574 > 0.05). This suggests that the Flipped Classroom model is more effective in enhancing student independence compared to the expository model, although its effect on activeness did not differ significantly. Consequently, the Flipped Classroom can be regarded as a viable alternative teaching strategy in higher education, particularly for PGSD students, as it promotes greater learning independence while supporting active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

Flexibility and injury prevention are essential aspects of athlete performance and health. This article aims to present a literature review on the effect of stretching techniques on flexibility and sports injuries. The literature review was conducted by analyzing relevant previously published studies. The literature review identified factors influencing flexibility, including age, gender, and type of sports activity. The literature review also highlighted the benefits of stretching in improving flexibility and preventing sports injuries. Various approaches to stretching techniques were discussed, such as static stretching, dynamic stretching, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation), and other methods. However, there is controversy surrounding the effectiveness of stretching in preventing sports injuries. Some studies suggest that pre-exercise stretching can reduce the risk of injury, while others suggest that excessive static stretching can reduce muscle strength and exercise performance. The results from the literature review also highlighted the differences in research results regarding the effect of stretching on flexibility and injury. Some studies found a positive association between stretching and increased flexibility, while the results of other studies showed no significant association. In the discussion, this article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of stretching techniques found in the literature. The implications of these findings can help coaches and athletes design efficacious and safe stretching programs. In conclusion, stretching techniques are essential in improving flexibility and may affect preventing sports injuries. However, more research is needed to understand better the mechanisms of stretching techniques' effects on flexibility and sports injuries. Hopefully, this article can provide valuable insights for sports practitioners and researchers to understand better the role of stretching in sports and athlete health.
