Abstract

Hydroids are marine invertebrates living on sponges, which belong to the phylum Coelenterata. They also contain several chemical compounds, including alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, and histamine, which can be used as medicinal raw materials, such as antimicrobials and anticancer. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the working mechanism of active compounds obtained from the extract and the fraction of Hydroid Aglaophenia cupressina Lamoureoux against Hela ttumor cell line, as a solvent used n-hexane.  The cytotoxic activity was carried out by using MTT method.  The results showed both extract and fraction activities against Hela tumor cells. They were also categorized as moderate cytotoxic activity based on the IC50 values of the extract and fraction, namely 0.31726 µg/mL and 0.32712 µg/mL, respectively.

Abstract

How Elementary School Teachers Integrate Technology in Social Studies Learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic? Objectives: This study aims to find out how elementary school teachers integrate technology in social studies learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study uses a phenomenological approach, then interviews and documentations are used to collect the data. There are 6 elementary school teachers who participate in this study from Yogyakarta, East Java and Bangka Belitung. Data analysis: The data required are analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. Findings: This study finds out that teachers use technology as the main element in distance learning; synchronous learning using zoom; asynchronous learning using WhatsApp, google form, google classroom, Quizizz, YouTube; and the combination of both; obstacles that are often faced include technical constraints, economic capacity problems, and human error. Abstract

Rentang wilayah negara mengharuskan penanganan moda transportasi angkutan darat, laut dan udara secara terpadu untuk mewujudkan sistem angkutan nasional yang andal, efektif dan efisien, kewajiban pengangkut adalah menjamin bahwa penumpang dan/ atau bagasi atau kargo yang diangkutnya sampai di tempat tujuan dengan selamat, UU 1/2009 atau UU Penerbangan dan Permenhub 77 Tahun 2011 telah memberikan perlindungan. Oleh karenanya menarik untuk meneliti bagaimana Pengaturan tanggungjawab maskapai penerbangan terhadap penumpang atas kecelakaan pesawat berdasarkan hukum penerbangan Indonesia dan Pelaksanaan tanggungjawab maskapai Sriwijaya Air terhadap penumpang atas kecelakaan pesawat SJ 182. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, digunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif (yuridis normatif) dengan pendekatan undang-undang, pendekatan kasus, pendekatan konseptual, menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari sumber bahan hukum primer, sekunder dan tertier. Penelitian menemukan Pengaturan tanggungjawab maskapai penerbangan terhadap penumpang atas kecelakaan pesawat berdasarkan hukum penerbangan Indonesia diatur dalam Pasal 141 UU 1/2009, Pasal 2 dan Pasal 3 Permenhub 77 Tahun 2011, Pasal 22 Ayat (1) Konvensi Warsawa dan Pasal 17 Ayat (2) Konvensi Montreal dan Pelaksanaan tanggungjawab maskapai Sriwijaya Air terhadap penumpang atas kecelakaan pesawat SJ 182 merujuk pada 3 (tiga) hal, yaitu Rezim hukum yang berlaku; Peristiwa kecelakaan yang terjadi; Tiket perjalanan. Dapat dikatakan pengaturan terkait tanggungjawab pengangkut dari sisi norma sudah baik, tetapi dalam pelaksanaan masih terjadi inkonsistensi. Besaran ganti kerugian terhadap korban, keluarga korban dan ahli waris menjadi hal yang penting untuk memberikan jaminan perlindungan secara hukum, sehingga memberikan kepastian hukum bagi para pihak dan tidak bertentangan dengan rasa keadilan masyarakat.

Abstract

Black Turmeric (Curcuma caesia Roxb.) is a medicinal plant containing bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids and phenols which have antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of fermentate extract of endophytic fungi isolates derived from black turmeric rhizomes (Curcuma caesia Roxb.) against bacteria that cause oral infections such as Porphyromonas gingivalis and Streptococcus mutans by agar diffusion. Endophytic fungi isolates were obtained through isolation and purification processes using YGCA and PDA media. A total of 16 isolates were obtained, and 3 selected isolates (IFKH-8 and IFKH-9) showed antibacterial activity after screening tests (antagonistic tests). Macroscopic and microscopic morphological characterization tests were also carried out on selected isolates. Fermentation was carried out dynamically on MYB media for 3, 7, 14, and 21 days. The fermentate extract was evaluated for its antibacterial activity through the agar diffusion method against test bacteria. The results of the antibacterial activity test of ethyl acetate extract of endophytic fungi by diffusion to obtain the largest inhibition zone diameter in the IFKH-9 isolate of 7.27 mm at a concentration of 10% against Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria and in the IFKH-9 isolate of 7.29 mm at a concentration of 10% against Streptococcus mutans bacteria

Abstract

Number sense is a skill that contributes significantly to learning mathematics. However, number sense is often positioned as a fundamental skill whose development is more focused on children. The contribution of number sense in mathematics is even more apparent at higher levels of education. Ironically, number sense seems ignored and has become a rarely studied topic in higher education. Thus, the student's number sense ability profile seems buried with various problems. This study aims to reveal the profile of prospective elementary school teachers' number sense abilities and the factors causing their failure in solving math problems during the implementation of blended learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with 37 prospective elementary school teachers as research subjects. The observation of the test and lecture activities is the data collection method. The results showed that the prospective elementary school teachers' number sense ability was still relatively low. Based on the components, the order of number sense abilities is from the highest, namely: (1) knowledge and number facilities with the achievement of 14.41%; (2) knowledge and facilities for number operations with the achievement of 8.12%; and (3) knowledge and facilities of numbers and operations for computing settings with an achievement of 1.8%. The low number sense ability is caused by the habit of solving problems procedurally and the failure to solve problems due to misconceptions, not understanding concepts, inaccuracy, inability to understand questions, and difficulty representing fractions. Various factors causing the failure arose due to the limitations of implementing blended learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Effectiveness of Using Spinning Wheel Media in Improving Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Class IV Science Subject, MI Nurul Yaqin Lompo, Bone Regency. The type of this research is quantitative. The research design used in this study was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population is all students of Class IV of MI Nurul Yaqin Lompo, Bone Regency. Researchers took a sample of class IV totaling 22 students. The sampling used in this research is saturated sampling. Data collection techniques using tests, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis.The results of this study indicate that the spinning wheel media is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen by the results of hypothesis testing with decision making. If the significance value (2-tailed) < 0.05 then H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. If the significance value (2-tailed) > 0.05 then H₀ is accepted and H₁ is rejected. From the data obtained, it shows a sig.2(tailed) value of .000 <0.05, so it can be said that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted.

Abstract

Constructivist learning environments are created by utilizing constructivist theory to raise teaching standards and motivate students to learn more. The low level of student motivation in the learning process is caused by several problems that occur. Thus, learning motivation is very important in the progress of learning, namely to encourage enthusiasm during the learning process. This research aims to measure students' learning motivation. The sample for this research was fourth grade elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative approach designed using measuring instruments in the form of questionnaires. The results of the research show that these four aspects are: the desire and desire to succeed, the appreciation for learning, the desire to be interested in learning, and optimism. There is one indicator that does not meet the criteria, namely the reward aspect of learning. Therefore, the three aspects that have been described are proven to meet the criteria of goodness of fit, validity and construct reliability. Therefore, the scale developed is suitable for use in collecting data to measure student learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh regulasi diri dan kedisiplinan siswa terhadap kemandirian siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis ex-post facto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Kepatihan Purworejo, SD Negeri Sebomenggalan, SD Negeri 2 Baledono, Kecamatan Purworejo, Kabupaten Purworejo. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 56 orang siswa yang dipilih secara random. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan sakala psikologi serta dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial melalui analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi diri secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa; kedisiplinan secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa; serta regulasi diri dan kedisiplinan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

Siswa Indonesia yang tinggal di luar negeri dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan adaptasi sosial dan budaya yang berpotensi memengaruhi kesejahteraan emosional dan identitas diri mereka. Perbedaan lingkungan sosial, sistem pendidikan, serta nilai-nilai budaya di negara tempat tinggal dapat menimbulkan tekanan psikologis yang memerlukan kemampuan daya lenting atau resiliensi untuk mengatasinya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat resiliensi siswa Sekolah Indonesia Bangkok melalui pendekatan workshop berbasis permainan edukatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 64 siswa dan 9 guru sekolah dasar Indonesia di Bangkok melalui sesi interaktif yang terdiri atas diskusi, aktivitas kelompok, dan refleksi diri. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi bukanlah sifat bawaan semata, melainkan keterampilan yang dapat dikembangkan melalui pengalaman langsung dan pembiasaan. Dengan pendekatan yang menyenangkan, siswa lebih mudah memahami makna daya lenting dan mampu mempraktikkannya dalam situasi sederhana, seperti permainan menyusun menara kartu. Hal ini menegaskan pentingnya program pelatihan resiliensi sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan keterampilan sosial-emosional anak Indonesia di luar negeri.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of a digital audio storybook as a learning medium for improving early reading skills in first-grade students. Conducted within the Trimulyo Cluster, Kapanewon Sleman, this Research and Development (R&D) study employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and reading assessments. Validation from experts indicated the media's feasibility, scoring an average of 3.8 from a material expert and 4.0 from a media expert. Practicality was confirmed through high average scores from teacher (94.44%) and student (ranging from 90.83% to 93.89%) feedback. Effectiveness was measured via a quasi-experimental design, showing an N-Gain score of 80.75% and a statistically significant improvement (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the developed digital audio storybook is proven to be feasible, practical, and effective for early reading instruction in primary education. It presents an innovative and impactful learning tool that can significantly support literacy development in young learners.
