Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan peningkatan skill untuk guru bimbingan dan konseling sehingga kemampuan dapat ditingkatkan. Adapun sasaran dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini guru bimbingan dan konseling SMAN 10 Kota Jambi pelatihan ini terdiri dai dua sesi dengan jabaran sebagai berikut: 1) Didalam pengabdian ini dibentuk sesuai rancangan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru bimbingan dan konseling kami mengadakan workshop sederhana diruagan bimbinan dan konseling, 2) Metode FGD yang digunakan dalam pembinaan dalam workshop ini merupakan focus untuk meningkatkan skill yang dimiliki oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling yang berada di SMAN 10 Kota Jambi. Dalam hal ini FGD yang dilakukan untuk memberikan keleluasaan bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling untuk bertanya dan mempraktek. Hasil dari pelatihan ini guru bimbigan dan konseling memperoleh pengetahuan yang baru mengenai perluasan ilmu lam bimbingan kelompok hal ini ditunjukan dengan antusias dalam mengikuti pelaksaana. Hasil dari kegiatan PPM ini juga terlihat dalam praktek dan FGDnya guru sangat tertarik dengan metode ini karena dalam metode ini tidak hanya menekankan pada pembentukan dinamika kelompoknamun juga menekankan pada pemikiran kritis anggota kelompok sehingga dalam pelaksanaanya peserta layanannya memperoleh kemampuan berfikir kritis.

Abstract

The ability to speak in public is a very important skill in various aspects of life, including aspects of education, career and social interaction. For students, the ability to speak in public can help in effective communication, express ideas or thoughts clearly, and of course strengthen their sense of self-confidence. Students who are able to overcome anxiety and maintain public speaking skills can be said to have high self-confidence. The aim of this research was to measure the influence of self-confidence on public speaking abilities in students at SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi with a sample size of 118 students. The research method is quantitative, expost-facto approach, sampling using purposive sampling through questionnaires or questionnaires as a data collection tool. The research results show that self-confidence (X) has an influence on public speaking ability (Y), with a determination value of 0.437 or 43.7%, which is quite strong.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews with guidance and counseling teachers at SMA ADHYAKSA 1 Jambi, researchers found that the problem at this school was the low speaking skills of students, where students did not have the confidence and courage to speak when making presentations in front of the class they did not master the material. during the learning process. The research aimed to improve students' speaking skills in front of the class using problem-solving techniques through group tutoring services at SMA ADHYAKSA 1 Jambi. The research method used is that the researcher uses service action research. This research is planned to be carried out in three cycles, and in one cycle there are two meetings. When carrying out service actions, researchers prepare cameras, questionnaires, observation sheets, and service implementation plans. When providing action services using problem-solving techniques through group guidance services, students go through four stages, namely planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. At the action stage the researcher explains the material and then conducts questions and answers where the questions are about solving a problem then students allowed to speak to answer the questions given so that problem solving techniques are applied in group guidance.

Abstract

Through self-disclosure, students can express their feelings, opinions and problems to other people. At school, guidance and counseling teachers have a role in helping and alleviating problems experienced by students. This research aims to see students' self-disclosure towards guidance and counseling teachers at SMP N 7 Jambi City. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. In this research, it was found that 60 students were open to their guidance and counseling teachers who were also respondents in the research. The results of the research show that students' self-openness towards guidance and counseling teachers at SMP N 7 Jambi City as a whole is at a percentage of 61.84% which is included in the majority proportion category.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa puas siswa terhadap layanan informasi karir yang disediakan oleh SMA Negeri 4 di Kota Jambi. Layanan informasi karir sangat penting untuk memenuhi harapan siswa dan memenuhi kebutuhan mereka. Rasa senang atau kecewa yang muncul dari perbandingan antara kinerja yang diperoleh dengan hasil yang diantisipasi dikenal sebagai kepuasan. Penelitian ini menggabungkan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk memilih 179 siswa kelas XII yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Empat aspek dari layanan karir-pemberian informasi karir, evaluasi karir, konseling karir, dan pengembangan keterampilan profesional-dicakup dalam kuesioner yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Menurut temuan tersebut, mayoritas siswa memberikan penilaian “Sedang” terhadap layanan yang mereka dapatkan. Secara khusus, 55% responden menyatakan puas dengan informasi karir yang diberikan, 53% dengan evaluasi karir, 54% dengan konseling karir, dan 53% dengan pengembangan keterampilan kerja. Terlepas dari kenyataan bahwa penawaran sekolah sudah cukup memadai, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penawaran tersebut dapat ditingkatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to measure the quality of attention of parents of students in class VIII of SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi, to measure the quality of student learning discipline in class VIII of SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi, and to reveal the influence of parental attention on student learning discipline. in class VIII at SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi. This research population was conducted at SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi in class VIII. The subjects of this research were 109 students of SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi, using random sampling techniques. This research data uses descriptive quantitative data. The technique used in this research is by distributing questionnaires to respondents, then analyzing them using the normality test, reliability test, regression test and percentage (%). The results of this research obtained a percentage of 80.58%, this shows the high category, which means that parental attention has a high role for students at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. Student learning discipline obtained a percentage result of 87.86%, this shows the high category, which means that student learning discipline has a high role for students at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is known that there is a quite strong and significant influence between parental attention on student learning discipline at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

This research is aims to look at the emotional symptoms of academic stress in students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo using descriptive quantitative methods with persentase analysis Formula C. This research took 80 respondents from students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo. The results of this research show that the emotional symptoms of academic stress in SMA Negeri 17 Tebo as a whole are at a percentage level of 54.06% and are in the medium category.It can be concluded that the academic stress experienced by students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo requires special intervention from teachers and the school so that it does not become a high level.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what academic self-concept, self-efficacy is and the relationship between academic self-concept and student self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo using quantitative methods through a correlational approach with Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. This research took  84 respondents from SMA Negeri 17 Tebo students. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between academic self-concept and student self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo. The research results show a correlation of 0.610, which means the relationship can be categorized as a moderate correlation or a sufficient relationship. Based on this research, it is hoped that future researchers will study and deepen their insight into academic self-efficacy and self-concept so that they will be able to get better or maximum results. Apart from that, it is hoped that guidance and counseling teachers can provide encouragement in the form of trust and self-confidence in students to help improve good learning outcomes.
