Abstract

The research entitled The Effect of Parental Attention on Self-Adjustment of New Students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2023 at Jambi University. In the process of self-adjustment, students can face problems of acceptance and rejection in adjustment or association. Self-adjustment is a process that includes mental and behavioral responses, which are individual efforts to successfully overcome needs, stress, conflicts. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of parental attention and the level of self-adjustment of new students and to reveal the effect of parental attention on the self-adjustment of new students of the guidance and counseling study program class of 2023 at Jambi University. Researchers who have previously conducted pre-research on new students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2023 at Jambi University found that many new students have difficulty adapting to a new environment and have problems in self-adjustment, especially when socializing. This type of research is expost facto research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all new students of Guidance and Counseling class 2023 at Jambi University as many as 111 people. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a confidence level of α.0.05 with the Slovin formula, the sample obtained was 87 respondents divided into 3 classes. Data collection tools used in research. The calculation results obtained in this study indicate that the level of parental attention is at a "high" level with an overall percentage of 72.5% and for self-adjustment is at a "high" level with a percentage value of 77.2%. The results showed that the parental attention variable (X) had an influence on the variable (Y) of 21.5% which is interpreted as having a "strong enough" influence.

Abstract

This mobile legends game is usually played by anyone from children to the elderly. This phenomenon can be seen from the large number of children who play Mobile Legends in every game center, both in cities and villages. This research aims to find out how much self-control students have when they are addicted to mobile legends, to find out the level of mobile legends addiction in students and to find out whether there is a significant influence between self-control and addiction to mobile legends. for students in class VII and VIII of SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. Data collected from 69 respondents was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The data was processed using percentage techniques and simple regression analysis. Research conducted by researchers using ex post facto methods is classified as quantitative research. This research uses instruments, processing data with numbers. The results of the research show that the level of self-control of students at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City is in the high category with a percentage of 66.92%. The level of mobile legends addiction among students at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City is in the high category with a percentage of 62.55%. The research results of the R square table show that the value obtained is 0.051, which means that the Self Control variable (X) contributes to Mobile Legends Addiction (Y) in students by 5.1% with the interpretation "Low but certain". with a calculation of (0.051 x 100%) apart from that being influenced by other variables not studied. The regression model obtained shows that if self-control (X) increases by 1 unit it will reduce mobile legends addiction (Y) in students by 0.331. This means that the greater the student's self-control, the less addictive the student will be to Mobile Legends.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether information services with short film media can improve understanding of the impact of bullying in SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi. This research is a type of quantitative research using experimental research methods and pre- experimental variations one group pretest-posttest. The population in this study is the entire student XI SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi. As for sampling in this study using purposive samplings based on specific characteristics, samples of 36 people were obtained. (satu kelompok eksperimen). The data collection tool in this study uses a questionnaire or an understanding test with a total of 35 items. The data analysis techniques used are percentage tests and t-tests. The results of this study show that information services with short film media can improve understanding of the impact of bullying in SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi with the result of pretest before given treatment or treatment of 652 and after given treatment (posttest) of 1811.Based on the results of T-test calculations using SPSS 23.0 using the calculation of degree of freedom 40 of 2.03011 which means there is a signative influence between the information service with improved understanding of Bullying before and after giving treatment/treatment.

Abstract

The phenomenon at SMP Negeri 19 Jambi City is that there are students who lack discipline which can hinder their learning process. The aim of this research is to reveal the influence of short films in information services to improve student disciplinary behavior.This research uses a Quasi Experimental Design type or quasi-experimental research using Pretest Posttest one Group Design. The population in this study was 245 class VIII students. The sample in this study was 31 students taken using purposive sampling technique. The instruments or data collection tools used were interviews, observations and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using percentage calculations with formula C, normality test, and t- test.The results of this research show that the disciplined learning behavior for the pretest was 3997 and for the posttest it was 4664. Based on the results of the t-test calculations, the T count was 9.416. The value of Ttable is 2.045 with a Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 ie. It can be seen that Tcount > Ttable so that the hypothesis is stated that there is a difference between pretest and posttest (before and after treatment is given). Based on the results of the treatment, it was stated that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of short films in information services to improve student disciplinary behavior.

Abstract

This research was motivated by a field phenomenon related to the decline in student achievement motivation in school caused by insufficient parental social support and some students' lower achievement motivation. This study aims to reveal the level of parental social support and student achievement motivation and the influence of parental social support on achievement motivation in students of SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City. Achievement motivation is the drive that exists in individuals to continue to do everything successfully to achieve the standards of excellence set. This research is a type of quantitative research using ex post facto methods. , Validity and reliability tests were carried out to determine the instrument's accuracy using questionnaire data collection techniques. Theme time, the data analysis technique uses formula C formula, normality test, linearity test, and simple regression at-tests and t-tests with the help of the SPSS 25 program. The sampling technique uses Stratified random sampling with a sample of 124 students. The results showed that, in general, the influence of social support of parents of students was at a high level, with a percentage of 61.33%, and achievement motivation was at a moderate level, with a rate of 58.9%. The results also showed that based on the results of the hypothesis, a significant value of 0.000<0.05 and a calculated value of > ttable or 10.962> 0.1472 were known, which means that the research hypothesis was proven to be accurate, namely that there was an influence of parental social support on the achievement motivation of SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City students.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan ruang aman bagi siswa melalui pelatihan anti-bullying dan pengelolaan konflik. Tujuan kegiatan ini meliputi: (1) meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman siswa tentang bullying, (2) membangun keterampilan dalam mencegah serta melakukan intervensi terhadap kasus bullying, (3) mengembangkan keterampilan pengelolaan konflik di antara siswa untuk membantu mereka menyelesaikan perselisihan secara konstruktif dan tanpa kekerasan, serta (4) menciptakan ruang belajar yang mendukung, di mana setiap siswa merasa dihargai dan dihormati. Metode yang digunakan bersifat interaktif, dengan tahapan-tahapan yang meliputi survei pendahuluan, pemaparan konsep, pelatihan pengelolaan konflik, simulasi role-playing, diskusi kelompok, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut, serta pengembangan berkelanjutan. subjek kegiatan ini adalah siswa SMPN 53 kerinci. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang bullying dan keterampilan mereka dalam menangani konflik, sehingga diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih harmonis dan bebas dari kekerasan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what academic self-concept, self-efficacy is and the relationship between academic self-concept and student self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo using quantitative methods through a correlational approach with Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. This research took  84 respondents from SMA Negeri 17 Tebo students. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between academic self-concept and student self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo. The research results show a correlation of 0.610, which means the relationship can be categorized as a moderate correlation or a sufficient relationship. Based on this research, it is hoped that future researchers will study and deepen their insight into academic self-efficacy and self-concept so that they will be able to get better or maximum results. Apart from that, it is hoped that guidance and counseling teachers can provide encouragement in the form of trust and self-confidence in students to help improve good learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is aims to look at the emotional symptoms of academic stress in students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo using descriptive quantitative methods with persentase analysis Formula C. This research took 80 respondents from students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo. The results of this research show that the emotional symptoms of academic stress in SMA Negeri 17 Tebo as a whole are at a percentage level of 54.06% and are in the medium category.It can be concluded that the academic stress experienced by students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo requires special intervention from teachers and the school so that it does not become a high level.

Abstract

The study is entitled Effectiveness of Information Services in Preventing Verbal Aggression of Students in the Junior High School of Jambi. The focus of this research is verbal aggression that hurts someone with words. The aim of this research is to reveal whether information services prevent verbal aggression in the students of the Junior High School of Jambi. This study uses the type of quantitative research with the experimental research method of a one group pretest-posttest. The population in this study is the whole of the students of the 7th grade at the Junior High School of Jambi. Sampling techniques using cluster random sampling and lottery techniques obtained from samples of class VII I consisting of 33 students. The instruments used in this research are the lifting. The techniques used are the presentation test and the T-test. The results of this study show that: (1) the presence of students' pretest results is at a moderate level, (2) there are students' posttest results after information services have changed, (3) there is the effectiveness of information services in preventing verbal aggression of students.

Abstract

Prosocial behavior is an important aspect in character development and social interaction at school. If prosocial behavior is not increased, gaps can occur in relationships between students. Therefore, to encourage increased prosocial behavior, counseling services are used, namely group guidance services using symbolic modeling techniques. This research aims to determine the level of prosociality before and after providing services, and the influence of group guidance services. Symbolic modeling techniques on increasing students' prosocial behavior. This research uses quantitative research, experimental methods and variations of pre-experiment, one group Pretest Posttest. The population of this study were students in classes XI.F2, XI.F5 and XI.F6. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique based on the criteria recommended by the guidance and counseling teacher, so that 10 students were obtained as a sample. The collection instrument used a questionnaire consisting of 38 items. The analysis techniques used include the KIN (Internal Normative Continuum) approach, normality test, and T-test. The average pretest result of students before being given treatment was 139.7 which was categorized as MEDIUM and after being given treatment the average treatment average was 158.3 which was categorized as HIGH. The T-Test shows that the T-count value is -8.278, which is greater than the T-table, which is 2.228. Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000, indicating a significant difference between Pretest and Posttest. So it can be concluded that providing group guidance services with symbolic modeling techniques has an effect on increasing students' prosocial behavior.
