Abstract

This study examines the effect of an eco-efficiency and quality management system on firm performance moderated by earnings per share (EPS) and leverage. The results of panel data regression found that the eco-efficiency and quality management systems did not directly affect firm performance. The results of the interaction effect test indicated that profitability strengthened the effect of the quality management system on firm performance, yet weakened the effect of the eco-efficiency on firm performance. However, the leverage did not reveal any interaction effect. This research only examined the eco-efficiency by identifying whether the firms had a green-finance certification or not. It also strengthens the results of the previous studies by building an integrated model facilitating the effect of eco-efficiency and quality management systems on firm performance by involving two moderators that had not been found in the previous studies. This study implies –for the revolution of industry 4.0 issues— the stakeholders should be encouraged to strengthen the green economy as an essential business aspect in Indonesia. This study also recommends the importance of sustainable firm managerial studies on green-finance issues and environmental aspects.

Abstract

This research investigates the moderating effect of celebrity CEOs on the relationship between corporate sustainability and firm value. A quantitative approach was utilized, analyzing data from 51 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2021 using regression analysis. While prior studies have explored the individual effects of either celebrity CEOs or corporate sustainability on firm value, this study addresses a gap by examining the interaction between these factors and its impact on firm value. The results reveal that although both the presence of a celebrity CEO and the implementation of corporate sustainability initiatives can enhance firm value, they do not necessarily create a beneficial synergy. In fact, the presence of a celebrity CEO may diminish the positive effects of corporate sustainability on firm value. These findings provide empirical evidence suggesting that companies should carefully assess the alignment between a CEO’s characteristics and the firm’s sustainability strategies to optimize value creation. The study underscores the importance of selecting a CEO whose attributes align with the company’s long-term sustainability objectives. These insights have practical implications for corporate management in making strategic decisions regarding CEO appointments and the execution of sustainability initiatives.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, and solvency risk, while also investigating the moderating effect of credit growth on bank performance. The Error Correction Model-Eagle Granger (ECM-EG) methodology was applied to data from 2014 to 2023. Findings indicate that, in the short term, market and operational risks significantly impact bank performance. In the long term, only solvency risk does not significantly affect bank performance. Additionally, credit growth moderates the relationship between market and liquidity risks and bank performance in the short term, while in the long term, it only moderates the relationship between market risk and bank performance. Our empirical findings demonstrate that effective risk management enhances bank performance. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and academics in fostering a conducive environment for corporate activities.

Additionally, the creation of informative tour packages, visual booklets, and brochures seeks to broaden public understanding of various available tourism offerings. Methodological approaches include developing engaging content, strategically planning educational tour packages, and producing unique merchandise that reflects the village’s positive image.
