Abstract

Study This aims : 1) to find out results comparison rate corrosion between aluminum with powder coating and aluminum without powder coating to solution Sour Chloride , 2) knowing form Aluminum Alloy 7075 surface with powder coating and aluminum without powder coating to solution Sour Chloride , 3) produces impact test results to Aluminum Alloy 7075 with powder coating and aluminum without powder coating . Method research used is method type study descriptive quantitative . The data sources used is secondary data obtained direct from results study rate corrosion SEM testing and testing impact . Results from study This state that Aluminum Alloy 7075 with powder coating has rate more corrosion slow compared to without powder coating at the moment tested with HCl solution

Abstract

The oxygen mask system on an aircraft is one of the important elements in maintaining the safety of passengers and crew in emergency situations, especially when there is a loss of cabin pressure. This study aims to examine the effectiveness and working mechanism of the oxygen mask system on classic Boeing aircraft, namely the Boeing 737-300, 737-400, and 737-500, during an emergency. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of this oxygen mask system study involved various units on the aircraft, including the Passenger Service Unit (PSU), Restroom Service Unit (LSU), and Attendant Service Unit (ASU). Oxygen in the aircraft is supplied from a cylinder through a pressure regulator, and the oxygen mask is automatically released when the cabin pressure drops below a certain threshold. In addition, the oxygen system can also be activated manually by the flight crew. One of the challenges is passenger confusion regarding the correct use of oxygen masks. This study also examines applicable safety regulations as set by the FAA and ICAO, to ensure that the oxygen system functions optimally in an emergency. The study also provides recommendations to improve routine training for cabin crew in handling oxygen mask systems and other safety procedures.

Abstract

This article discusses the performance analysis of the CFM56-3-B1 turbofan engine used on the Boeing 737-300 aircraft under various operational conditions. This study was conducted to understand the engine performance under different flight conditions, such as minimum idle, approach idle, maximum continuous, and take off. This study was conducted using a qualitative method using a descriptive approach and literature study. The results of the analysis prove that the performance of the fan, booster, and high-pressure compressor (HPC) is higher than its ideal value due to compressor imbalance and leakage that causes an increase in compression temperature. Furthermore, it was found that during the take-off process the thermal efficiency became high with an actual efficiency of 37%, but still lower than the ideal efficiency of 47%, which was caused by material friction and environmental factors. While the maximum thrust was achieved thanks to the combination of hot and cold nozzle designs. The conclusion shows that engine efficiency is affected by material friction and environmental conditions, which have an impact on reducing thermal efficiency by 9.59%. Suggestions are given to improve thermal efficiency and thrust by optimizing airflow and engine cooling.

Abstract

Light fire extinguishers are important for maintaining the safety of passengers and crew during flights, especially on commercial aircraft such as the Boeing 737-400.  This research aims to analyze the types and important roles of Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE) available on the Boeing 737-400 aircraft in fire emergency situations.  This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach on the Boeing 737-400 aircraft.  Data were obtained through literature study and field observation.  The research results show that on the Boeing 737-400 aircraft, lightweight fire extinguishers are used with dry chemicals or gases suitable for the conditions on the aircraft.  Both types of equipment are effective in extinguishing fires without endangering passengers, cabin crew, and surrounding electronic equipment.  Various types of extinguishing agents and spray systems can enhance the efficiency of lightweight fire extinguishers in the air.  This research is expected to make flights safer by protecting passengers, crew members, and aircraft from fire risks, and also for airlines to enhance routine training for cabin crew on the use of portable fire extinguishers in various fire scenarios.

Abstract

Hydroplaning is one of the causes of aircraft accidents during takeoff or landing. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of hydroplaning on the performance of the Boeing 737 aircraft, especially during takeoff and landing. Hydroplaning occurs when the air layer on the runway reduces friction between the aircraft wheels and the runway surface, which can disrupt stability and increase the aircraft's stopping distance. The research approach in this study uses a qualitative approach and the analysis used is a literature study from indexed scientific journals, textbooks, research reports, and other reliable sources. The results of this study, this study states that hydroplaning has a high effect on the performance of the Boeing 737 aircraft, especially when landing on a wet runway. Hydroplaning can reduce the effectiveness of aircraft braking and increase stopping distance substantially. Therefore, it is important to consider the air thickness factor and ensure speed control procedure to reduce the risk of hydroplaning. As well as the shape of the tire threads which can also reduce the height when landing or taking off

Abstract

Students may experience digital fatigue as a result of substantial increases in academic workload and heavy reliance on digital technologies for learning. This study aims to analyze the effects of academic workload and digital fatigue on students’ academic achievement. A quantitative approach using survey techniques was used for this study, involving 200 students from the secondary school level. A questionnaire was used to collect data, which was then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed a negative relationship between students’ academic achievement and workload, indicating that students’ academic achievement decreased in relation to the number of tasks they were asked to complete; this means that the more academic tasks students had to complete, the lower their academic achievement. The main factor that plays a role in this relationship is digital fatigue, which arises from the excessive use of digital devices in the learning process. Digital fatigue results in mental and physical fatigue, thus exacerbating the impact of academic pressure on students’ achievement. Digital fatigue occurs when students are exposed to digital device screens for too long without sufficient breaks. Common symptoms include eye fatigue, difficulty concentrating, sleep disturbances, and increased levels of stress and anxiety. In the long term, this condition can lead to decreased motivation to learn and negatively impact students’ emotional and psychological well-being. Effective strategies to reduce digital fatigue, such as better time management, variety in learning methods, and adequate breaks in academic activities, are needed, and it is important to provide students with balanced academic tasks so that they are not overburdened. Implementing these steps will help students focus on their studies without negatively impacting their emotional or psychological well-being.

Abstract

Industri penerbangan sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor cuaca. Kondisi cuaca buruk seperti badai, kabut tebal, angin kencang, dan salju dapat mengganggu perencanaan penerbangan dan menyebabkan keterlambatan. Artikel ini membahas secara komprehensif pengaruh faktor cuaca terhadap perencanaan penerbangan, mekanisme dampaknya pada keterlambatan penerbangan, serta strategi mitigasi yang dapat diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dari berbagai sumber seperti jurnal ilmiah, artikel, maupun sumber daring terpercaya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor cuaca memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perencanaan penerbangan, terutama dalam hal rute, jadwal, dan kapasitas pesawat. Keterlambatan penerbangan akibat cuaca berdampak pada kerugian ekonomi, ketidaknyamanan penumpang, dan gangguan operasional bandara. Artikel ini juga mengulas strategi mitigasi seperti pemanfaatan teknologi prakiraan cuaca, sistem manajemen lalu lintas udara yang adaptif, dan koordinasi antar stakeholder untuk meminimalkan dampak negatif cuaca terhadap operasional penerbangan.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya escape slide dalam prosedur keselamatan penerbangan modern, khususnya sebagai alat utama untuk evakuasi cepat dalam keadaan darurat seperti kebakaran, pendaratan darurat, atau insiden di runway. Meskipun jarang digunakan, escape slide merupakan alat kritis yang dirancang untuk memfasilitasi evakuasi cepat dan efektif dalam situasi darurat.. Escape slide memastikan bahwa penumpang dapat meninggalkan pesawat dengan aman jika terjadi keadaan darurat. Escape slide telah mengalami perkembangan teknologi yang signifikan, termasuk penggunaan material ringan, sistem inflasi otomatis, dan teknologi self-test untuk meminimalkan potensi kegagalan. Standar keselamatan yang ketat dari Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) dan International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) memastikan bahwa escape slide dirancang untuk berfungsi dalam berbagai kondisi darurat. Selain itu, pelatihan kru yang melibatkan simulasi berbasis Virtual Reality (VR) memberikan peningkatan dalam kesiapan evakuasi. Artikel ini menekankan bahwa escape slide merupakan komponen vital dalam keselamatan penerbangan yang terus berkembang seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi dan pelatihan kru yang lebih intensif.

Abstract

Penerbangan komersial merupakan sektor transportasi yang kompleks yang mengedepankan keselamatan dan efisiensi bahan bakar. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana weight and balance (berat dan keseimbangan) mempengaruhi efisiensi bahan bakar dalam penerbangan komersial. Penghitungan weight and balance mencakup berat penumpang, bagasi, kargo, dan bahan bakar, serta posisi pusat gravitasi (CG) pesawat. Ketidakseimbangan berat dapat meningkatkan konsumsi bahan bakar dan membahayakan keselamatan penerbangan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengoptimalan weight and balance bisa mengurangi drag aerodinamis dan memperbaiki efisiensi operasional. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pustaka untuk mengumpulkan informasi dari sumber terbaru (2019-2024) tentang topik ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa prosedur weight and balance yang baik, termasuk sistem komputer dan pemantauan selama penerbangan, sangat penting untuk keselamatan dan efisiensi bahan bakar. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana manajemen weight and balance yang tepat dapat berkontribusi terhadap keberlanjutan dalam industri penerbangan.

Abstract

Keselamatan penerbangan ialah topik yang krusial yang ada di industri penerbangan. Flight plan adalah dokumen yang berisi rencana penerbangan, mulai dari departure sampai destination, yang disusun oleh pilot atau perencana penerbangan. Memahami pengaruh human factors terhadap penyusunan flight plan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan keselamatan penerbangan. Penyusunan flight plan memberikan tugas yang penting untuk memastikan keselamatan penerbangan. Peningkatan keterampilan juga menjadi aspek penting dalam mengatasi pengaruh human factors terhadap penyusunan flight plan. Kesalahan dalam penyusunan flight plan dapat berakibat fatal. Penyusunan flight plan memberikan tugas yang penting untuk memastikan keselamatan penerbangan karena memberikan pedoman yang jelas mengenai rute yang akan dilalui pesawat, perhitungan bahan bakar, dan antisipasi terhadap kondisi cuaca. Penyusunan flight plan yang tepat sangat penting untuk keselamatan penerbangan dan berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi vital antara pilot dan ATC. Human factors, seperti kondisi mental dan fisik pilot serta keterampilan perencanaan, turut mempengaruhi ketepatan flight plan tersebut.
