Abstract

Inappropriate provision of early complementary feeding not only disrupts the nutritional intake that babies should receive, but also disrupts the baby's digestion because the digestive system is not yet able to digest or break down the food. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months in the Working Area of the Findingsari Village Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency is still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors for providing early complementary feeding in infants aged 0-6 months in the Working Area of the Findingsari Village Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency.The design of this study is descriptive analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study was all mothers who had babies aged (0-6) months who were in the working area of the Findingsari Village Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency, totaling 63 people. This study used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the univariate analysis of this study showed that from 63 respondents, almost all (49.2%) had a supportive attitude, more than half (54.0%) were working, almost all (44.4%) whose husbands supported and more than half (61.9%) who provided Early MP ASI. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained attitudes with a value of p = 0.001 ≤ α = 0.05, mother's job with a value of p = 0.005 ≤ α = 0.05 and husband's support with a value of p = 0.007 ≤ α = 0.05. Results research This show variable attitude most big relate with provision of early complementary feeding for babies aged 0-6 months at the Findingsari Village Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency. It is hoped that the health center will increase the dissemination of information through counseling to society through role cadres to increase knowledge about the importance of providing exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Background Nutritional status according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is used as a benchmark in assessing children's development and nutritional needs. Nutritional status itself can be defined as a health condition that arises from a balance between nutritional needs and the nutritional intake received by children. Based on Riskesdas (2020), the prevalence of BMI/U nutritional status at primary school age in Bengkulu Province was recorded at 2.2% of children in the very thin category, 5.2% of children were thin, 71.3% of children had normal nutritional status, 10.9% of children were obese and, 10.4% of children are obese. The aim of the research was to determine the factors related to the nutritional status of elementary school age children at SD Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. This research method is descriptive quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this research was 80 people, taken using non-probability sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the chi-square test with a significance level of 95%. The results of the research, statistical test results show that there is a significant relationship between snack habits and nutritional status (p=0.000), show there is a significant relationship between breakfast habits and nutritional status (p=0.021), show there is no significant relationship between physical activity and nutritional status. nutrition (p=0.0990). It is hoped that schools can provide information about good nutrition to students at SDN 2 Bengkulu City .

The aim of this research is to determine the factors of giving early MP ASI to babies 0-6 months in the Polindes Teman Sari Work Area, Musi Rawas Regency. The design of this research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach. The sample for this research was all mothers who had babies aged (0-6) months who were in the working area of ​​Polindes Teman Sari, Musi Rawas Regency, totaling 63 people. This research uses univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the univariate analysis of this research show that of the 63 respondents, almost half (49.2%) have a supportive attitude, more than half (54.0%) work, almost half (44.4%) have supportive husbands and more than half ( 61.9%) who provide Early MP ASI. Abstract

Backgound: Health education is the provision of health knowledge and habituation of healthy behaviour of students. The adequacy of health education provision will affect the attitudes and behaviour of school children which will determine their health status whether they will remain healthy or at risk of health problems in the present and adulthood. Purpose: To analyze the availability of health education materials to improve children's healthy behaviours in the school environment. Method: This descriptive qualitative research analyses by examining and revealing the meaning or reality of Health Education conducted in Primary Schools. This research was conducted in five primary schools in the Bengkulu city area, with data analysis techniques including data reduction steps, presenting data, drawing conclusions for verification. Data validity checks with source triangulation through activities to test the credibility of data triangulation techniques for data credibility by checking data to the same source with different techniques. Interview results are checked with documentation or observation. Results: The results of the research on the school health center program have not been able to run optimally as seen from the policies and guidelines that do not yet exist and are well socialised to all school members. The school health center supervisor teacher, teacher of physical education sports and health and guardian teacher have not fully implemented the Trias school health center and understood the indicators in school health center activities. The school health center is still the responsibility of the community health centre. Students have never received health education intensively. Health education in schools has a significant influence on students' health behaviour. Conclusion: Through purposeful health education, students can increase their knowledge about health. Health education also plays an important role in changing behaviour, resulting in the adoption of healthy behaviours in students. Students who receive effective health education tend to adopt healthy behaviours.

Abstract

The elderly are an aging population and require a process of adaptation to various changes in function and environmental stress caused by a decrease in the body's ability (Listyarini & Alvita, 2018). In the world, the number of elderly people ranges from ≥629 million people (Susanti, Mila, 2017). According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the number of pre-elderly and elderly people in Kaur Regency in 2021 will be 130,266 people (BPS, 2021). According to the health profile of Kaur Regency in 2021, only 11,7204 elderly people receive health services out of a target number of 130,266 people in the working area of the Muara Saung Health Center and is the lowest in Kaur District. The aim of this research is to find out the factors related to the utilization of the elderly posyandu in the working area of the Muara Saung Health Center, Kaur Regency in 2022. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design. The population in this study were all elderly people at the Muara Saung Health Center in Kaur Regency in 2021, with a total of 288. The sample was taken in this study using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The number of samples used in this study were 74 respondents. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the utilization of the elderly posyandu in the working area of the Muara Saung Health Center, Kaur Regency, in 2022 with a value of p = 0.017. there is a relationship between family support and the use of the elderly Posyandu in the working area of the Muara Saung Health Center, Kaur Regency in 2022 with a value of p = 0.008. There is a relationship between the role of cadres and the utilization of the elderly posyandu in the working area of the Muara Saung Health Center, Kaur Regency in 2022 with a value of p=0.023. Suggestions can add insight in the health sector, especially regarding the elderly posyandu at the Muara Saung Health Center, Kaur Regency

Abstract

WHO says that 1,769,425 people (90%) of women experience dysmenorrhoea, 10-15% of whom experience severe dysmenorrhoea. Indonesia the incidence of dysmenorrhoea consists of 72.89% primary dysmenorrhoea and among women of productive age consists of 54.89% primary dysmenorrhoea. Data from Puskesmas Bintuhan Kaur Regency shows that primary dysmenorrhoea cases increase every year. The results of the initial survey at SMP PKLK Kaur Regency were conducted on 10 students, obtained 70% of students experiencing primary dysmenorrhoea. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the menstrual cycle and nutritional status with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescent girls at SMP PKLK Kaur Regency. This research is a quantitative research using cross sectional study design. The number of samples in the study were 64 respondents. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents experienced primary dysmenorrhoea by 53.1%, almost half of the respondents experienced an abnormal menstrual cycle by 43.8%, almost half of the respondents experienced abnormal nutritional status by 37.5%. There is a significant relationship between the menstrual cycle and the incidence of primary dysmenorrhoea (p=0.020) and there is no significant relationship between the menstrual cycle and the incidence of primary dysmenorrhoea (P=0.093) in adolescent girls at SMP PKLK Kaur Regency. It is hoped that further research can look at other risk factors using multivariate analysis.

Abstract

The number of dengue cases in South Sumatra Province is increasing from year to year. Based on data from all health centers in the Empat Lawang Regency area, a total of 152 residents in Empat Lawang Regency were affected by DHF from January to November 2024, there were 194 cases of DHF in Empat Lawang Regency. The number of cases is also increasing, surpassing the 2023 cases of 18 cases. Dengue fever is a serious health threat in Jaya Loka I Village, which is often triggered by low public awareness of the importance of prevention. The Community Service Program aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of the Kelurahan community about dengue prevention using the 4M Plus strategy (Monitoring mosquito breeding sites, Draining, Covering, Recycling, and additional measures such as the use of larvicides). The methods used include socialization and counseling to Kelurahan residents through digital platforms such as Youtube, interactive presentations, practical demonstrations, and post-evaluation. The results showed an increase in residents' understanding of the 4M Plus strategy. The program succeeded in having a positive impact in reducing the risk of DHF through the implementation of healthy and preventive habits.

Abstract

Introduction : The eco print activity organized by students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu, in Sumber Sari Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency, aims to empower local mothers through training in handmade crafts using organic plants. This activity is part of the Community Service Program (KKN) and is expected to increase knowledge of environmental health and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Objective : The objective of this activity is to train the village's mothers in creating eco print crafts, enhance their creativity, and introduce the utilization of natural resources and the management of SMEs with a focus on digital marketing. Method : The training was held on January 27, 2025, at Posko 1 Dusun 3, Sumber Sari Village, using a demonstration method. Participants were provided with canvas bags and plant materials to create eco print designs, which were then soaked in alum water to enhance the results. Results and Discussion : The results of the activity showed an increase in local mothers' knowledge in several key areas. First, they gained a better understanding of managing SMEs with digital marketing as a means of promoting eco print products. Second, the mothers appreciated eco print as a form of therapeutic activity and relaxation, helping to reduce stress. Third, they gained a deeper understanding of utilizing natural resources as raw materials for eco print crafts. Finally, their skills and creativity in making eco print crafts improved, opening opportunities for the development of locally-based creative SMEs in Sumber Sari Village.

Abstract

Kidney disease is one of the significant health problems in Indonesia. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the prevalence of acute kidney disease (PGA) in Indonesia reaches 15% of the adult population, with numbers increasing every year (Kemenkes RI, 2020). Umber Sari Village Objective : At the end of the counseling process, after participating in counseling activities, it is hoped that children can understand and understand the concept of acute renal failure. Methods : The methods used in counseling about Kidney Disease Free in the Next 15 Years are lectures, educational videos and questions and answers and distributing leaflets. Results and Discussion: showed an increase in the knowledge of students and parents regarding the prevention of kidney failure. Before counseling, only about 30% of participants had good knowledge about kidney function and risk factors that can cause kidney failure. However, after counseling, the percentage increased to 80%. This shows that the counseling method used is effective in improving participants' understanding.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that can cause serious complications if not treated properly. Giving tomato juice as an alternative to non-pharmacological treatment can help lower blood pressure. With the aim of determining the effect of hypertension counseling by administering tomato juice on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Hypertension counseling through the lecture method to the productive age community in Sumber Sari village. Hypertension counseling with tomato juice can help lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Therefore, giving tomato juice can be one of the alternative non-pharmacological treatments to help manage hypertension.
