Abstract

Abstract

Intoduction: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the One Gate Policy drug management system at the Pharmaceutical Installation of the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office in 2025. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research informants consisted of 11 individuals selected purposively, including structural officials, installation heads, and pharmacy staff directly involved in drug management. This research focuses on five main aspects of drug management: planning, procurement, storage, distribution, and usage. The results show that the One Gate Policy has brought positive changes in terms of system integration and process simplification. However, several obstacles were still found in its implementation in the field. The main challenges in implementing this policy include a lack of inter- program coordination, suboptimal utilization of digital information systems, limited human resources and infrastructure, and budget constraints, particularly for drug distribution and disposal of expired drugs. Moreover, drug usage reporting and monitoring have not been fully optimized due to the lack of awareness and understanding among staff. In conclusion, the One Gate Policy has great potential to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of drug management at the regional level. However, its success requires strengthened inter-agency coordination, continuous technical training for human resources, enhancement of logistics information systems, and adequate and sustainable budget support.

Abstract

The Free Health Check-up (CKG) is a health screening program conducted by health workers directly at the target location, so students do not need to go to a community health center except for follow-up care, with a target of 52–53 million students (Ministry of Health, 2025). Data from the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office (September 2025) shows that CKG coverage for school-aged children is only 2.6%. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing CKG participation among students at SMA N 5 in Bengkulu City. The study employs a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 84 tenth-grade students was selected using systematic random sampling. Data analysis utilized the chi-square test (SPSS 22) followed by a binary logistic regression analysis. The results of the univariate analysis showed that of the 84 respondents, 48 (57.1%) had a good level of knowledge, 48 (57.1%) had a supportive attitude, 65 (77.4%) were female, 51 (60.7%) rated the role of teachers as good, 50 respondents (59.5%) rated the role of health workers as good, 52 respondents (61.9%) rated the implementation of the Free Health Check. The results of the bivariate analysis indicate a significant association between knowledge (p = 0.000), attitude (p = 0.009), gender (p = 0.022), the teacher’s role (p = 0.023), and the teacher’s role (p = 0.000) regarding the Free Health Check-up (CKG) among 10th-grade students at SMA N 5 in Bengkulu City. Multivariate Results: The role of health workers was the dominant factor associated with the implementation of the free health check-up program for 10th-grade students at SMA N 5 Kota Bengkulu, with the highest Exp(B) value of 16.337. It is hoped that SMA N 5 Kota Bengkulu can continue to increase support for the implementation of the Free Health Check-up (CKG) program by strengthening the role of teachers in health promotion and education activities for students.

Abstract

Dental and oral health problems among elementary school-aged children remain high and are influenced by a lack of knowledge about how to maintain dental and oral hygiene. Health education is a preventive measure aimed at improving children’s knowledge, with lectures and singing serving as educational approaches that are easy to implement. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of lectures and singing in improving oral health knowledge among students at SDIT Lantabur in Pagar Alam City in 2025. This study employed a mixed-methods design with a quasi-experimental two-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 82 first-grade students divided into two groups, each comprising 41 students who received health education using the lecture method and the singing method, respectively. Data were collected using questionnaires administered before and after the intervention and were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses. The results of the study show that before the lecture-based instruction, most students had insufficient knowledge (82.9%), and after the instruction, this increased to adequate knowledge (51.2%). Before the singing-based instruction, most students had insufficient knowledge (61%), and after the instruction, this increased to good knowledge (73.2%). Statistical tests showed that the lecture method was effective in improving students’ knowledge (p-value = 0.000) and the singing method was also effective (p-value = 0.000). The singing method proved to be more effective than the lecture method. The conclusion of this study is that the singing method is more effective in improving elementary school students’ knowledge of oral health.

Abstract

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) remain a health problem that mostly occurs among teenagers, partly due to a lack of reproductive health literacy. The school environment has a strategic role in increasing understanding and shaping behavior to prevent STIs among teenagers. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between reproductive health literacy and STI prevention in the school environment. This study used a quantitative approach with an analytic descriptive design and a cross-sectional method. The population of this study consisted of all students at the selected school, with a total sample of 202 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-square test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that almost half of the respondents had a low level of reproductive health literacy, while their STI prevention behavior was at an adequate level. The statistical test results showed a significant correlation between reproductive health literacy and STI prevention (p = 0.002). Students with better reproductive health literacy tended to have better STI prevention behavior compared to students with adequate and lower literacy levels. In conclusion, reproductive health literacy is significantly related to the prevention of sexually transmitted infections in the school environment. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen comprehensive and continuous reproductive health education in schools as an effort to prevent STIs among teenagers.

Abstract

Based on 2020 WHO data, approximately 10% to 20% of children worldwide experience sleep problems, as well as health problems caused by sleep deprivation in adolescents, such as obesity and mental disorders. A 2020 study by the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) in the United States found that children under 16, including those aged 6-10, frequently experience sleep deprivation. 60% complained of daytime fatigue, and 15% reported feeling sleepy at school. The results of a systematic review and meta-analysis indicate that 76% of pediatric patients undergoing hospitalization experience poor sleep quality and insufficient sleep duration. Objective: To determine the effect of foot reflexology massage on sleep quality in children aged 6-10 years at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Siti Aisyah Lubuklinggau in 2025.The study design was pre-experimental, using a one-group pre-test post-test design, involving one group of subjects. Data were obtained by administering the Children's Sleep Habit Questionnaire (CSHQ) to 32 children who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The questionnaires were completed before and after the foot reflexology massage intervention. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents (50%) did not have good sleep quality before the massage. The majority of respondents (50%) had good sleep quality after the massage. There is an effect of foot reflexology massage on sleep quality in children in the pediatric ward of RSUD Siti Aisyah Lubuklinggau, with a ρ-value of 0.000 (< α = 0.05). Therefore, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.Foot reflexology massage therapy can be used as an alternative therapy to improve sleep quality in children aged 6-10 years old after hospitalization and to provide knowledge that foot reflexology massage is necessary to support the healing process.
