Abstract

Student independence is one of the important indicators in character development and learning ability. However, many students still rely on conventional teaching and are less able to manage the learning process independently. The main problem that needs to be studied is how the application of experiential learning principles can help students develop an independent attitude in learning. This study aims to examine the implementation of experimental learning in improving student independence. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study to analyze the concept of experiential learning and student independence based on previous research findings in the context of education. The results of the study show that this approach encourages students to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to make decisions independently. In addition, experimental learning also plays a role in increasing students' self-confidence and responsibility for their learning process. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for educators in designing more effective learning to improve student independence.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the nature school concept at Jogja Green School in supporting character development and soft skills in children with special needs. This study uses a qualitative approach with observation and interview methods, observing the interactions of students, teachers, and nature-based activities such as gardening and farming. The subjects of this research number 25 individuals, and the data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman analysis technique, with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results of the study showed that the activity was effective in teaching responsibility, discipline, empathy, and other social skills. In addition, nature-based learning has been shown to improve students' understanding of the subject matter in a more concrete and interactive way. Despite the challenges in adapting materials for students with diverse needs, the flexibility of learning methods at Jogja Green School provides opportunities for ABK to develop according to their abilities. This study concludes that the concept of nature schools can be an effective model in inclusive education, with a focus on character development and soft skills that are important for ABK in facing life's challenges.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the Nature School curriculum is used to build student character. This research method is a literature study method. The literature study method is a research method used in this study. Data collection techniques are carried out by studying literature from written sources, such as books, journals, and articles to strengthen arguments. The data sources used are scientific journals with quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study are that the nature school curriculum does not only focus on cognitive aspects, but also on students' social, emotional, and spiritual development. In facing climate change and other environmental issues, nature-based character education is very relevant to prepare future generations. Examples of nature school activities that can shape students' character are planting trees, cleaning rivers, watering plants, gardening, raising livestock, disposing of garbage in its place, and market day activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of outing class learning in stimulating students' learning motivation, which is expected to be a reference for contextual learning innovation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through direct observation and interviews with teachers, school administrators, and students at Jogja Green School. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the main themes related to the impact of outing class learning on students' learning motivation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the outing class method significantly increased students' learning motivation. Learning that involves direct experience in nature as a learning medium creates higher involvement, provides freedom to choose activities that suit students' interests, and improves character development and environmental awareness. This learning not only improves students' academic knowledge, but also life skills that can be applied in everyday life. These findings indicate that a more personal and contextual learning approach can be effective in increasing students' learning motivation.

Abstract

Pembelajaran tematik suatu pendekatan yang sangat potensial dalam kalangan sekolah dasar karena mengintegrasikan berbagai mata pelajaran sekaligus menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui strategi yang efektif dalam pembelajaran tematik untuk pendidikan karakter dan keterampilan siswa SD; 2) mengetahui implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran tematik; 3) mengetahui tantangan yang muncul saat menerapkan pembelajaran tematik untuk mendukung penguatan karakter dan keterampilan siswa SD. Penelitian ini melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Dari hasil strategi pencarian ditemukan sebanyak 14.800 artikel dari tahun sebelum 2015-2025 kemudian diseleksi dengan kriteria tahun publikasi 2015-2025 menjadi 6.370 artikel jurnal. Kemudian diseleksi secara bertahap dan sistematis menjadi 65 artikel yang relevan dengan topik strategi, implementasi, dan tantangan pembelajaran tematik untuk penguatan karakter dan keterampilan siswa SD. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat 20 artikel jurnal yang mampu menjawab pertanyaan penelitian dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan secara sistematis dengan mendokumentasikan semua artikel yang relevan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran tematik efektif dalam membentuk karakter siswa jika diterapkan secara terpadu. Strategi yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan kolaboratif, pembelajaran berbasis proyek, dan integrasi nilai karakter dalam tema. Adapun implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran tematik seperti integrasi nilai karakter ke dalam RPP tematik, menyusun kegiatan pembelajaran yang mendidik dan bermakna, pembiasaan dan keteladanan dalam kegiatan belajar. Tantangan yang biasanya terjadi seperti keterbatasan waktu dan media pembelajaran, kesulitan menyatukan berbagai kompetensi dasar (KD) dari mata pelajaran berbeda ke dalam satu tema, hingga kurangnya dukungan dari lingkungan seperti orang tua atau sekolah.

Abstract

This paper investigates 1) the level of parents’ habits and guidance on students' language politeness, 2) the level of students’ language politeness, and 3) the influence of habits and parental guidance on students' language politeness. The research is quantitative research using a survey method. The research was conducted on 207 fifth-grade elementary students of Sultan Thaha Group Pelepat Ilir District. The sample used the Probabilistic Sampling technique with simple random sampling and was obtained from 136 students. The data collection techniques used questionnaires and documents, the research instrument testing consisted of validity and reliability testing, and the data analysis technique was descriptive analysis, and prerequisite tests consisted of normality and linearity testing and hypothesis testing using simple linear regression testing. The research results indicate that 1) the level of the parents’ habits and guidance was language politeness in the medium category, 2) the level of students’ language politeness was in the medium category, and 3) there was a significant influence between parents’ habits and guidance on students' language politeness. It isshown from the Anova table simple linear regression test table, which means that the calculated F value was 31,967 and the significance value was 0.00 < 0.05. Therefore, there is a significant influence of the variables of parents’ habits and parental guidance on students' language politeness.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter kepada anak, khususnya jenjang sekolah dasar sangat penting. Namun realitanya, karakter dan moral siswa semakin merosot dalam dunia pendidikan. SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu sekolah swasta unggulan yang berfokus pada pembentukan karakrer dan moral siswanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) strategi pembentukan karakter siswa melalui program ‘shalih’; (2) strategi pembentukan karakter siswa melalui program ‘pembelajar’; (3) strategi pembentukan karakter siswa melalui program ‘pemimpin’; (4) strategi pembentukan karakter siswa melalui program ‘bisnis’ di SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. Teknik analisis data didasarkan pada teori Miles dan Huberman, yaitu (i) penggumpulan data, (ii) redukai data, (iii) penyajian data, dan (iv) penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Kemudian, triangulasi teknik melalui wawancara dengan narasumber secara langsung. Kemudian, tianggulasi sumber melalui kegiatan observasi dan dokumentasi di lapangan. SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta membentuk karakter siswa melalui pendekatan empat pilar sekolah alam, yaitu ‘shalih’, ‘pembelajar’, ‘pemimpin’, dan ‘bisnis’. Program ‘shalih’ dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan keteladanan dan pembiasaan. Program ‘pembelajar’ dilaksanakan kegiatan belajar bersama alam (BBA) dan riset. Program ‘pemimpin’ melalui kegiatan pramuka dan outbound. Terakhir, program ‘bisnis’ dilakukan melalui kegiatan berkebun, beternak, dan berjualan. Kata Kunci: sekolah alam, karakter, pilar pendidikan

Abstract

This issue is important to investigate because the integration of Islamic values, scientific values, and joyful learning in primary education is still rarely examined comprehensively, even though these three components are needed to address learning practices that remain overly focused on cognitive aspects. This study aims to identify: (1) the integration of Islamic values in learning activities, (2) the integration of scientific values in learning activities, and (3) the school’s efforts in creating joyful learning experiences at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data analysis based on the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity is ensured through methodological triangulation by comparing the results of observations, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted on October 28, 2025, at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. The findings show that Islamic values are integrated through linking subject matter to the concept of tawhid, daily worship routines, and character development. Scientific values are integrated through observation, simple research activities, and nature exploration. Joyful learning is supported through flexible learning spaces, varied learning models, and a safe and humanistic environment. The integration of these three values forms a holistic educational model that supports students’ spiritual, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis : 1) Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Experiental Learning berbasis Pendidikan Inklusi di Jogja Green School 2) Pengaruh Penerapan model pembelajaran Experiental Learning terhadap pembentukan sikap siswa 3) Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Experiental Learning terhadap pembentukan Keterampilan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di Jogja Green School, Yogyakarta, pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi literatur, kemudian dianalisis secara interaktif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan serta diperkuat dengan teknik triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan siswa dalam pengalaman belajar langsung, seperti kegiatan berkebun dan merawat hewan, dapat meningkatkan motivasi, pemahaman konseptual, dan partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, model pembelajaran berbasis alam di Jogja Green School terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan, yang tercermin dalam perilaku rutin seperti menjaga kebersihan area sekolah dan mengelola sampah organik. Kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut juga memperkuat keterampilan ekologis, kemandirian, dan tanggung jawab sosial, termasuk bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus yang dapat berpartisipasi sesuai kapasitasnya. Secara keseluruhan, pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman inklusif memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan sikap dan keterampilan lingkungan siswa serta mendukung terciptanya budaya sekolah yang ramah, adaptif, dan berorientasi pada keberlanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence of the learning environment on learning motivation, mathematical resilience, and mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. This research method uses a literature study method by reviewing 43 relevant journal articles published between 2020-2025. Data collection techniques are carried out through the Google Scholar database using specific keywords. The article selection process is carried out through the process stages, include, exclude. Includes: (1) researchers enter the keyword "Learning Environment" then there are 2,530,000 articles. (2) researchers filter articles by adding the keyword "Elementary School" there are 1,790,000 articles. (3) researchers add the keywords "Learning Motivation, Mathematical Resilience, and Learning Outcomes" there are 2,260. (4) researchers adjust journals that are relevant to the research title and get 1,010. (5) then researchers filter based on the abstract to get 125 articles. (6) researchers download articles that can be opened and the suitability of the title and research subject, namely 43 articles. Data analysis was conducted through four stages, namely: (1) source collection, namely the identification and downloading of 43 relevant articles through the systematic procedures that have been explained; (2) source criticism, namely the assessment of the authenticity and accuracy of the article content through internal criticism that includes a review of the author's credibility, journal reputation, and the suitability of the content to the research focus; (3) interpretation, namely the interpretation of facts obtained from the literature within the framework of reconstructing findings to form factual and logical values ​​and meanings; (4) historiography, namely the systematic preparation of research reports in accordance with applicable scientific provisions. Data validity is guaranteed through source triangulation, member checking by fellow researchers, and reference source validation sheets that have been validated by expert lecturers.The results of the study indicate that the learning environment has a significant relationship and influence on these variables. A conducive learning environment provides stimulation that can increase student engagement, while emotional support can help strengthen student resilience in facing math difficulties. The results of this study indicate that the school environment, such as classroom climate and supportive social interactions (non-physical environment), has a more significant influence than the family and community environment in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study concludes that structuring the learning environment is a key factor in optimizing the mathematical achievement of the remainder of elementary school.
