Abstract

Abstract

This study examines digital ethics violations through the sexual objectification of young female celebrities like Billie Eilish, whose culturally significant self-expression in works such as Lunch (2024) and Guess makes her a prime case study for analyzing online misconduct toward public figures. Employing Nussbaum's (1995) objectification framework and qualitative content analysis, the research reveals platform-specific patterns of harassment, with Instagram's visual interface fostering bodily fetishization while X/Twitter facilitates lyric-based vitriol, alongside the weaponization of artistic content for objectification purposes. These findings underscore the failure of current digital etiquette training and highlight the urgent need for character and culturally based education approaches that address online misconduct at its roots. By developing intersectional pedagogical strategies that examine platform architectures, deconstruct cultural narratives enabling public figure objectification, and cultivate critical awareness of digital power dynamics, this study proposes a paradigm shift from reactive moderation to proactive prevention. The research advocates for implementing culturally responsive character education programs incorporating real-world case studies of celebrity harassment, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 16 while offering practical solutions to transform online spaces through education that tackles both individual behavior and the structural factors perpetuating gendered cyberviolence.

Abstract

This study was conducted because self-harm behavior in adolescents has become a serious problem that requires in-depth attention, especially in Indonesia, where this phenomenon continues to increase. Factors such as gender, ethnicity, and age are believed to play an important role in influencing self-harm behavior, but comprehensive empirical studies on the interaction of these three factors are still limited. The objectives of this study were to identify differences in self-harm behavior based on gender, ethnicity, age, and investigate the interaction between these three factors. The research method used a quantitative design with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 812 adolescents who were randomly selected from various regions in Indonesia, and data were collected through questionnaires measuring the level of self-harm behavior and demographic factors. Data were analyzed using ANOVA in the Rasch model. The results showed that females have higher rates of self-harm than males. Bugis (B) and Flores (F) cultures show higher self-harm scores compared to other age groups. In addition, the 15-17 age group shows higher self-harm scores compared to other age groups. The conclusion of this study is that there are significant differences in self-harm behavior in adolescents based on gender, ethnicity, and age

Abstract

This study aims to describe the linguistic forms and types of feminism constructed in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu and the meaning of signs that represent feminism in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu. The data were analysed descriptively according to Roland Barthes' semiotic theory, which includes three layers of meaning: denotative, connotative, and myth. The results show that the linguistic forms in the novel Rumah Untuk Alie are dominated by declarative and imperative sentences used by the main character to voice disappointment, anger, and resistance to gender injustice. The types of feminism represented include radical feminism, especially cultural radical and existentialist, and liberal feminism. Meanwhile, the signs in Lenn Liu's Rumah Untuk Alie, both verbal and symbolic, reveal social myths that place women as subordinate parties.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explore how female investors' cognitive activity, particularly as it relates to neurotransmitter function, contributes to the emergence of investment bias and influences their financial decision-making behavior. The background to this study is the growing participation of women in the investment world in Indonesia, demonstrating high enthusiasm despite the field being synonymous with numbers, risk, and rational thinking. Methodology: This study focuses on analyzing the role of neurotransmitters as moderating variables in the relationship between cognitive activity and the tendency for investment bias in female investors. While the abstract does not explicitly mention the technical methods used, an interdisciplinary approach combining psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral finance forms the primary foundation of the analysis. Main Findings: The main findings of this study indicate that cognitive activity influenced by neurotransmitter function plays a role in shaping investment bias in female investors. This bias then impacts decision-making patterns, which can differ from those of other investor groups, particularly in the context of risk management and perception of investment opportunities. Novelty/Originality of this study: The uniqueness of this study lies in its approach, which integrates biological and psychological aspects into the study of investment behavior, particularly in women. By focusing on the role of neurotransmitters, this research makes an original contribution to a deeper understanding of the psychobiological basis of financial behavior, which has previously been rarely discussed specifically in a gender context.
