Abstract

Quality management in Islamic education has become an important issue in the administration of madrasahs in the digital era. Madrasahs are not only required to maintain their Islamic identity but also to improve the quality of educational services, teacher professionalism, governance effectiveness, and institutional competitiveness. This article aims to analyze quality management strategies in Islamic education to enhance the competitiveness of madrasahs in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from books, journal articles, and scientific documents relevant to Islamic education management, quality management, educational leadership, and digital transformation in education. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that quality management strategies in Islamic education can be implemented through strengthening Islamic vision-based planning, improving human resource competence, digitizing management services, strengthening quality culture, and conducting continuous evaluation. Systematic quality management can help madrasahs improve learning quality, public trust, and institutional competitiveness without neglecting the fundamental values of Islamic education.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia currently has not fully met the expectations of the community, marked by the low quality of graduates and the resolution of educational problems that have not been fully resolved. Various efforts continue to be made, by making improvements through extracurricular activities, one of which is Scouting. The study aims to determine the management of Scouting Extracurricular in increasing the interests and talents of students at MTs At-Taqwa Samarinda, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method and George R. Terry's management theory which includes the functions: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The results of the study indicate that the management of Scouting Extracurricular is carried out well, starting from planning through the syllabus and policies in Document 1 of the madrasah, organizing with a formal structure, implementing activities according to the syllabus by focusing on developing student abilities both in the field of scouting and in other fields, to monthly evaluations carried out in the last week of each month and annual evaluations in the form of camps and competitions and exams at the end of each semester. Supporting factors: support from the head of the madrasah, written policies, and annual activities. Inhibiting factors: fluctuating student interest, parental permission, minimal budget, and inadequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study examines Human Resource Management based on the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta/KBC) in improving teachers’ work culture in madrasahs. The study is motivated by the need to strengthen teachers’ professionalism, work ethics, collaboration, and character amid the challenges of contemporary education. The implementation of KBC emphasizes values of compassion, empathy, respect, and responsibility, which are expected to influence the management of human resources and create a positive work culture within educational institutions. The objective of this research is to analyze how KBC-based human resource management contributes to the development of teachers’ work culture in madrasahs. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review method. Data were collected from books, scientific journals, government regulations, and relevant academic publications discussing human resource management, educational leadership, work culture, and the Love-Based Curriculum. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify patterns, concepts, and relationships among variables. The findings indicate that KBC-based human resource management positively contributes to improving teachers’ work culture through value-based recruitment, continuous professional development, participatory leadership, and performance evaluation grounded in humanistic principles. Furthermore, the integration of love, mutual respect, and collaboration fosters a supportive educational environment, strengthens teachers’ commitment, and enhances the overall quality of learning in madrasahs. Therefore, KBC serves as a strategic framework for developing sustainable and value-oriented human resource management in Islamic educational institutions.
