Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pemahaman bahwa profesi keguruan memiliki peran sentral dalam membentuk generasi masa depan, namun dihadapkan dengan berbagai tantangan yang terus berkembang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sejarah perkembangan profesi guru serta mengidentifikasi tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan profesi ini di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, mengumpulkan data dari berbagai literatur yang relevan dengan sejarah profesi keguruan dan tantangan yang muncul dalam praktiknya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profesi guru telah melalui berbagai perubahan signifikan, baik dalam standar kompetensi maupun peran sosial. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh para guru saat ini mencakup perkembangan teknologi, tuntutan profesionalisme, dan penyesuaian terhadap kurikulum yang terus berubah. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa peran guru sebagai agen perubahan sosial memerlukan peningkatan kompetensi yang berkelanjutan untuk memenuhi ekspektasi masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai dinamika profesi keguruan, serta menjadi dasar dalam merumuskan kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung pengembangan profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how social conditions serve as a primary factor in the formation of early theories of educational sociology. The background of this research lies in the significant social changes during the Industrial Revolution and the development of capitalism, which created a need to understand the role of education within social structures. Early sociological thinkers, such as Émile Durkheim and Karl Marx, argued that education is not merely a process of knowledge transfer but also a tool for maintaining social stability or fostering change. They saw education as a means to shape values and norms aligned with the economic and political needs of society. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach. The data collected are derived from classical sociological literature and various modern studies that examine social conditions influencing the development of educational sociology theories. Data analysis is conducted with a historical approach to link educational theories with the social contexts that underpin them. The findings indicate that social conditions, such as class differences, economic changes, and labor demands, influence the educational goals discussed in sociology. Education is viewed as a tool for regulating social structure through the inculcation of values that benefit the dominant class. This study reveals that early educational sociology thought was closely tied to the social context that shaped it and often functioned either to maintain social stability or to drive change according to societal needs.

Abstract

This study discusses the methods and ethics of seeking knowledge in Islam based on the perspective of hadith. Seeking knowledge holds a crucial position in Islamic teachings, where the Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of knowledge and the manners associated with it. The hadiths related to seeking knowledge provide guidance on the proper way to acquire knowledge, including the ethics that must be observed by a student. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods of hadiths related to the pursuit of knowledge. Primary data sources are derived from authentic hadith collections such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, as well as interpretations from scholars, then the data that has been collected is analyzed by thematic analysis method. The results show that the method of seeking knowledge in Islam should be based on sincere intentions, humility, and patience. Additionally, students must respect their teachers, maintain proper ethics during the learning process, and practice the knowledge they gain. This study also highlights that the ethics taught by Prophet Muhammad in seeking knowledge are relevant in the context of modern education. In conclusion, the hadiths provide comprehensive guidance for building character and manners in the pursuit of knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the establishment process and factors driving the rise of the Abbasid Dynasty, as well as its impact on Islamic civilization. The Abbasid Dynasty, which was founded in 750 M after overthrowing the Umayyad Dynasty, became one of the largest caliphates in Islamic history. This research employs a qualitative method with a historical approach. The analysis is conducted using both primary and secondary sources to provide an in-depth understanding of the subject matter. Primary sources include original documents, records, and firsthand accounts related to the topic, while secondary sources consist of scholarly articles, books, and previous research that provide contextual and analytical insights. The combination of these sources ensures a comprehensive exploration of the historical and cultural dimensions relevant to the research. The focus of this study is on the political, social, and economic factors that contributed to the formation of the Abbasid Dynasty, including the role of non-Arab groups and rebellions supported by the mawali. The findings indicate that the Abbasid Dynasty succeeded in creating major changes in the Islamic governance structure and expanded Islamic influence in various fields, including science, culture, and trade. The significant impact on Islamic civilization is evident from the scientific and cultural advancements during the Abbasid reign, known as the "Golden Age of Islam." Additionally, this study reveals that improved political and economic stability under the Abbasids compared to the Umayyads further promoted the advancement of Islamic civilization as a whole.

Abstract

This research addresses the crucial theme of the role of Islam and the concept of cosmopolitanism in maintaining unity and stability of power during the Abbasid Dynasty. With a clear objective, this study aims to define cosmopolitanism within the context of that period, analyze its impact on cultural diversity and social relations, and explore the synergy between Islamic teachings and cosmopolitanism in facing various social challenges. The methodology employed is library research, where the researcher conducts an in-depth analysis of literature from primary and secondary sources related to the history, culture, and politics of the Abbasid Dynasty. This approach enables the researcher to gather comprehensive data relevant for understanding the social dynamics of that time.The results indicate that cosmopolitanism in the Abbasid Dynasty is characterized by an openness to cultural diversity, enriching social interactions within society. This concept successfully created an atmosphere of tolerance that supports cohesion among various ethnic and religious groups. The synergy between Islamic teachings, which emphasize justice, and cosmopolitan values has proven effective in alleviating social tensions and strengthening the legitimacy of Abbasid power.The study also analyzes the role of Islam and cosmopolitanism in the stability and unity of the Abbasid Dynasty. Data is categorized based on relevance to compare different perspectives and identify key themes. A sociological approach is used to examine the social, cultural, and economic influences on the development of Abbasid governance. The findings are expected to enrich historical studies as well as understanding of multiculturalism and social integration.Finally, this research concludes that the collaboration between religion and cosmopolitanism significantly contributes to the creation of a stable and united society. These findings are relevant not only in the historical context of the Abbasid Dynasty but also offer a useful model for modern societies facing contemporary challenges related to diversity. Thus, this research provides valuable insights into how values of tolerance and openness can serve as a foundation for unity in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi beragama pada anak usia dini untuk membentuk generasi yang toleran, harmonis, dan cinta damai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektifitas lagu kebangsaan dan lagu nasional dalam mengajarkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama kepada anak-anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research), di mana data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber literatur terkait moderasi beragama, pendidikan anak usia dini, dan musik dalam pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musik, khususnya lagu kebangsaan dan lagu nasional, memiliki peran signifikan dalam perkembangan kognitif, emosional, dan sosial anak. Lagu-lagu dengan lirik yang bermakna seperti "Indonesia Raya", "Bagimu Negeri", dan "Garuda Pancasila" membantu anak-anak memahami konsep abstrak seperti persatuan, toleransi, dan cinta tanah air. Teori pembelajaran sosial Bandura mendukung penggunaan lagu-lagu ini sebagai alat pembelajaran, karena anak-anak belajar melalui pengamatan dan imitasi. Selain itu, teori Kecerdasan Ganda Gardner menunjukkan bahwa lagu-lagu ini dapat membantu mengembangkan kecerdasan musikal dan interpersonal anak, serta memperkuat nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Dengan demikian, pengajaran moderasi beragama melalui lagu kebangsaan dan lagu nasional dapat membantu anak-anak menginternalisasi nilai-nilai penting yang membentuk sikap moderat dalam beragama. Pendekatan ini melibatkan peran aktif orang tua dan lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung, menciptakan generasi yang siap menghargai perbedaan dan bekerja sama untuk kebaikan bersama.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the moral values embedded in the play Petruk Dadi Ratu in Javanese wayang art. The research method applied is a literature review (library research), focusing on the analysis of wayang texts and the Javanese cultural context. The research findings indicate that the play encompasses moral values such as wisdom, honesty, and fair leadership. The study also reveals how the character Petruk, through his journey to become a queen, represents noble values within Javanese society. The implications of these findings provide profound insights into how wayang art serves as a medium for conveying moral values in Javanese culture.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of seeking knowledge and its virtues in Islam based on the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The background of this research lies in the significance of knowledge in Islam, not only as a means of understanding religion but also as a foundation for addressing the challenges of contemporary developments. In this context, seeking knowledge is seen as an act of worship that provides great benefits to individuals and society. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, collecting data from literature reviews of relevant hadiths and thematic analysis related to the virtues of knowledge in Islam. The findings indicate that seeking knowledge has various virtues, both in this world and the hereafter. The hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explain that knowledge is a light that illuminates darkness, a path to paradise, and elevates one's status in the eyes of Allah SWT and society. Furthermore, seeking knowledge can bring prosperity, advance civilization, and serve as a continuous charity (sadaqah jariyah) whose rewards continue to flow. In the modern era, the relevance of the teachings on seeking knowledge is increasingly vital in encouraging Muslims to keep learning, innovating, and contributing positively in various fields of knowledge. Therefore, this study emphasizes that the hadiths on seeking knowledge provide a strong foundation for Muslims to continuously pursue and apply knowledge as a form of worship and social contribution. Seeking knowledge is not only an obligation but also a source of honor that provides lasting benefits for individuals and society.

Abstract

The Abbasid Caliphate was one of the largest dynasties in Islamic history, experiencing various political dynamics. The power centers of the Barmaki, Buwaihi, and Saljuqi families played a crucial role in maintaining the political stability of the Abbasid Caliphate. This study aims to analyze the influence and roles of these families on the political policies and governance of the Abbasids. The method used in this research is quantitative, analyzing secondary data from historical sources and related documents. The results indicate that the Barmaki family contributed to the Abbasid golden age through efficient administration, the Buwaihi family took control through military strength and significant political influence, while the Saljuqi family played a role in political stabilization and broader territorial control. These findings reveal that the roles of these three families were significant in shaping the political landscape of the Abbasid during various periods of its rule.

Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi, penguatan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal dan nilai-nilai universal menjadi krusial. Tokoh Punakawan dalam wayang Jawa menyimpan filosofi mendalam yang berpotensi untuk diintegrasikan dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mensintesiskan nilai-nilai filosofis tokoh Punakawan dalam budaya Jawa dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam, serta merumuskan model pengembangan pendidikan karakter yang integratif dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur komprehensif meliputi naskah-naskah kuno Jawa, kitab-kitab Islam, buku-buku sejarah, jurnal ilmiah, dan sumber-sumber kredibel lainnya yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Temuan utama penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya keselarasan antara filosofi Punakawan dengan nilai-nilai Islam, terutama dalam aspek kebijaksanaan, kesederhanaan, dan pelayanan. Analisis mengungkapkan bahwa tokoh Semar merepresentasikan kebijaksanaan dan ketauhidan, Gareng melambangkan kehati-hatian dan taubat, Petruk mencerminkan kejujuran dan amanah, serta Bagong mewakili kritik sosial dan amar ma'ruf nahi munkar. Sintesis ini menghasilkan model pendidikan karakter yang holistik, menggabungkan kearifan lokal Jawa dengan universalitas Islam, yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal maupun informal. Abstract In the era of globalization, strengthening character based on local wisdom and universal values becomes crucial. The Punakawan figures in Javanese wayang (shadow puppetry) hold profound philosophies that have the potential to be integrated with Islamic principles in developing character education. This study aims to explore and synthesize the philosophical values of Punakawan figures in Javanese culture with Islamic principles, and to formulate an integrative and contextual model of character education development. This research employs a qualitative approach with library research method. Data was collected through a comprehensive literature study, including ancient Javanese manuscripts, Islamic texts, history books, scientific journals, and other credible sources relevant to the research topic. The main findings of this study indicate a harmony between Punakawan philosophy and Islamic values, particularly in aspects of wisdom, simplicity, and service. The analysis reveals that the character of Semar represents wisdom and monotheism, Gareng symbolizes caution and repentance, Petruk reflects honesty and trustworthiness, while Bagong represents social criticism and the principle of enjoining good and forbidding wrong. This synthesis results in a holistic model of character education, combining Javanese local wisdom with Islamic universality, which can be implemented in both formal and informal educational curricula
