Abstract

Abstract.  The effectiveness of a learning innovation cannot ignore the important aspects of student characteristics. The purpose of this study was to describe the response of high school teachers and students to blended learning (BL) using quipper school. Respondents of this study were 21 teachers and 81 students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Pangkajene Sidrap, Sidrap Regency. The response of teachers and students to the use of quipper school in blended learning in biology learning, measured by the teacher and student response questionnaire. The results showed that teachers and students gave a positive response to the use of quipper shool in BL. This proves that the use of quipper school in BL is effectively used in high school learning by considering various aspects such as student characteristics, availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the ability of teachers to use technology. Keywords: blended learning, online learning, quipper school, teachers' response, students’ response.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the learning difficulties experienced by students in online learning and the efforts made in overcoming students' learning difficulties in biology during the online learning period. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 06 Makassar which consisted of 6 classes, namely XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, XI MIPA 3, XI MIPA 4, XI MIPA 5, and XI MIPA 6. The instrument used was a Likert scale closed questionnaire. The research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires regarding internal factors of student learning difficulties and conducting interviews with biology teachers in class XI of SMAN 06 Makassar. Based on the research results, there are two aspects that have an influence on learning difficulties on students 'internal factors, namely aspects of learning motivation and aspects of students' physical health conditions. In general, efforts to overcome student learning difficulties are based on the diata aspect, namely, by providing excessive motivation to students, both from teachers and from families. Because, the amount of learning motivation received by students will affect the learning outcomes received. In addition, efforts to prevent learning difficulties caused by physical health factors are by taking a moment to rest after using electronic devices for a long time. As well as the need for self-awareness of the importance of maintaining physical health. Keywords: online learning, student learning difficulties, learning motivation, physical health condition

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the indicators of the basic competencies developed by teachers have reached the curriculum standard and to determine the psychomotor competence (KD.4) in biology learning in class XI SMA developed by teachers during the pandemic. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research instrument used in this study used a questionnaire instrument that was distributed to 11th grade high school students and XI high school biology teachers. This instrument uses the Guttman scale which has been through expert validation by 2 expert lecturers. The research subjects were 5 teachers and 319 students from 3 different schools, namely SMAN 9 Makassar, SMAN11 Makassar and SMAS Bosowa School Makassar. Techniques Data collection was carried out with students and teachers each filling out a questionnaire that had been made in the form of online forms, documentation and interviews, the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that there were only 3 biology teachers who developed indicators for achieving curriculum standards and 2 other teachers did not achieve curriculum standards, namely SMAN 9 Makassar and SMAS Bosowa School Makassar. Not all indicators developed by teachers are implemented, the average percentage of implementation is in the range of 40% ≤X ≤60% which can be categorized as quite implemented. Keywords: psychomotor, pandemic, curriculum, high school.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the comparison of learning outcomes between students who are taught by applying the Question Student Have (QSH) learning method with the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) learning method on the movement system material for class XI SMA Negeri 3 Bone. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Bone in the 2020/2021 academic year, which consisted of seven study groups (rombel). The sample of this study was class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 3 Bone which were selected according to the purpose of this study (purposive sampling). The design of this study was a pretest-posttest comparison group design. Measuring learning outcomes by providing learning outcomes tests. The average learning outcome of students taught by the QSH method is 23.11, while the average learning outcome of students taught by the LSQ method is 31.89. The results of statistical tests using the Mann Whitney Test analysis method were obtained by Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) = 0.04 < 0.05, so it is said that there are differences in biology learning outcomes between students using the Problem Learning method and the Learning Beginning with Problem method on the motion system material, where LSQ is better applied than QSH.Keywords: student have question, learning starts with a question, learning outcome

Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-module assisted by the Flip PDF Professional application on the topic of viruses, assess its validity, and assess its practicality. Adopting the development model by Borg & Gall, the study goes through seven stages: potential and problems, data collection, product planning, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. Data were collected through questionnaires given to subject matter experts and media experts to test validity, as well as assessment responses from teachers and students to test the practicality of the e-module. The research findings indicate that the e-module has been developed for use as teaching materials and learning media in high schools. The product's validity from the assessment by subject matter experts is 95.67% and by media experts is 96.06% both categorized as "very valid". Assessment of the product's practicality also yields very positive results, with a percentage of teacher responses at 92.00% and student responses at 89.07%, both categorized as "very practical". This product is highly suitable for use as teaching materials and learning media for biology.Key words: e-module, flip pdf professional, teaching material, viruses

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of super item learning model on biology learning outcomes of high school students. This type of research is a pseudo experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The research population included all students of class XI SMAN 1 Gowa, the research sample consisted of class XI MIPA 4 as an experimental class with 36 students and class XI MIPA 5 as a control class with 36 students, selected using random sampling technique. The instrument used was multiple choice test. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with ANCOVA test. The results showed that the value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class experienced a significant increase with very good, good, and sufficient categories, but generally in the good category. This shows the effect of the super item learning model on the biology learning outcomes of high school students.Key words: learning outcomes, super items

Abstract

Abstract. The study aims to determine the effect of the active strategy type Questions Student Have on critical thinking skills. The type of research consists of a quasi-experiment. The research design consists of a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of all students in grade X of SMA Negeri 22 Makassar consists of 5 classes with a total of 180 students. The sample selection was carried out randomly so that class X.2 (experimental) and class X.5 (control) were selected. Data analysis techniques consist of descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the critical thinking test score of 49.61 are in the less category while the learning outcomes score of 79.31 are in the very high category. The results of the normality test of the sig. data value> 0.05, so that the data on students' critical thinking skills are normally distributed. The results of the homogeneity test of the sig value Based On Mean> 0.05 so that it is declared homogeneous. The results of the hypothesis test of the Sig value 0.001 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted so that there is an effect of the Questions Student Have type strategy on critical thinking skills. The conclusion is that the active strategy type Questions Student Have can encourage students to be more active in participating in the learning process.Key words: Type of Questions Students have, critical thinking, quantitative research, descriptive analysis, inferential analysis.
