This study reports on the implementing a four-tier test diagnostic instrument on magnetism concept, which has not been defined in the literature. It is an improved understanding of the two-tier test matters. The four-tier diagnostic test was focused on electricity concept. It was measured to 20 elementary school students. They were correctly trained on the preceding topics. The substantial corporate of the respondents was established to have an unfortunate kind and misconceptions of the subjects tested. We have already described that the test was able to investigate and categorize students into student conception of electricity concepts. Research result with four tier tests showed scientific conception 9 %, which was likely to have misconceptions 64 %, and the students were lack of knowledge the concept of 25 %, and had an error amounted to 2 %. The elementary school studentsâ inclined to be unwell aware among what they diagnosed and what they do not diagnosed. It might be determined that a Four-Tier Diagnostic Test which has previously been established be able to assess elementary school studentsâ conception on electricity concept.

Implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Type of Jigsaw to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Fifth Grade Students of Elementary School, Pasir Penyu. This study aims to improve learning outcomes math class V students of State Elementary School 012 Candirejo Pasir Penyu through the implementation of cooperative learning model type of Jigsaw. Subject of this research are students in 5th grade 012 Candirejo public elementary school academic year 2011/2012, the number of students 30 people, consisting of 19 male students and 11 female students. The research instrument used is the test sheet of result of learning mathematics , Observation Sheet Activities Teacher and Student. Technique of collection and analysis of data obtained from the descriptive analysis of the activities of teachers, student activities, and the results of students' mathematics learning. From the research that has been conducted in two cycles of the first cycle of the activities of teachers percentage of 87.5% to93.75% in the second cycle with excellent category, student activities first cycle of 82.5% to 90% in the second cycle with very good categories , and student learning outcomes on the second cycle increased by 11.7 points (17.26%) from the first cycle to 79.5. It can be concluded that the cooperative learning model type of Jigsaw Can Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes.Â Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika pada Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Pasir Penyu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri 012 Candirejo Kecamatan Pasir Penyu melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 012 Candirejo Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012, dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang, yang terdiri dari 19 orang siswa lakilaki dan 11 orang siswa perempuan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar tes hasil belajar matematika, Lembar Pengamatan Aktivitas Guru dan Lembar Pengamatan Aktivitas Siswa. Teknik pengumpulan dan analisis data diperoleh dari analisis deskripstif aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dalam 2 siklus aktivitas guru siklus I persentase sebesar 87,5% menjadi 93,75% di siklus II dengan kategori sangat baik, aktivitas siswa siklus I sebesar 82,5% menjadi 90% di siklus II dengan kategori sangat baik, dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 11,7 poin (17,26%) dari siklus I menjadi 79,5. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam siswa menggunakan model inkuiri. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Kuasi Eksperimen Nonequivalent Grup Pretest-Postest Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN 003 Bangkinang Kota pada 54 orang siswa yang tiap kelas berjumlah 27 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam siswa belajar dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri lebih baik dan lebih tinggi peningkatannya daripada yang belajar dengan model konvensional.Terlihat dari nilai indeks gain pada kelas inkuiri sebesar 0,52 yang merupakan kategori sedang, sedangkan nilai indeks gain pada kelas konvesional sebesar 0,19 yang merupakan kategori rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam siswa Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci: Model Inkuiri, Hasil Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam.This study aims to investigate primary students’ science learning outcome with implementing inquiry learning model. This method of research was quasy experiment Nonequivalent Grup Pretest-Postest Design. Participant of this study was 27 third grade students in elementary school. Based on the results of the study it was obtained that implementing the students' science learning outcomes with the inquiry learning model were better and higher than the learning in the conventional model. It was seen from the value of the gain index in the class of 0.52 which was the categorical value, while the index gain value at the conventional level was 0.19 which was the lowest score. In conclusion, the learning model can enhance the elementary school students’ learning outcomes.Key Word: Inquiry Model, science learning outcome.

This study aimed to determine the difference of students’ learning motivation on CTL learning model and expository learning model. The implementation of CTL and expository learning model was proved to give different effect on the students’ motivation in learning social science subject. This study was quasi-experimental research which did not use a control group. The design of this study was nonequivalent groups pre-test-post-test design. This study was conducted at grade IV SDN 191 Pekanbaru with a total of 45 students. Different learning models significantly influenced the students’ motivation in learning social science. This difference was seen from the average value of the students’ learning motivation in which the average value for expository learning model was 52.72 and the value for CTL model was 79.69. This study also found that the difference value of expository learning model and CTL model towards the students’ motivation was 24.53% while the remaining 74.57% was influenced by other variables.

The purpose of this study was to explain project-based learning activities on instructional media courses for the design of learning media at elementary schools. This study also aimed to determine the students’ perceptions towards project-based learning in instructional media courses. This study was a quantitative descriptive study using literature study and surveys. One of learning activities in media course which used project-based learning model was designing visual, audio-visual, and multimedia learning media. The stages in designing the learning media were started from analyzing basic competencies in one subject, making a learning media framework, creating the design results, and finally presenting how to use the learning media as well as publishing to Google Classroom. The results revealed that students' perceptions towards project-based learning in learning media courses based on each indicator were as follow. The percentage for the indicator of student and lecturer interactions was 82.53% (good); for the indicator of students’ learning interests was 80.66% (good); for the indicator of competency in understanding teaching materials was 88.53% (good); for the indicator of competency to think critically, effectively, and efficiently was 88.66% (good); for the indicator of time management competence was 80.26 (good); for the indicator of students’ learning outcomes was 88.40% (good), and for the appropriateness of project-based learning application with subject characteristics was 91.20 % (very good).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis IPS melalui model discovery siswa di SDN 111 Pekanbaru. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 111 Pekanbaru, pada semester ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021, dengan jumlah siswa 27 orang. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan melalui empat tahap yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus yaitu siklus pertama dan siklus kedua. Setiap satu siklus terdiri dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan/observasi dan refleksi untuk dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan data-data tentang aktifitas guru dan siswa yang akan diamati. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah bahwa dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas V SDN 111 Pekanbaru, terlihat jelas bahwa proses pembelajaran IPS sebelum dilaksanakannya model Discovery Learning yaitu memiliki tingkat persentase yang rendah yaitu 3.70% Sementara itu, sesudah diterapkannya model Discovery Learning di kelas V SDN 111 Pekanbaru ini mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan. Pada siklus I, hasil sebanyak 37.04% sedangkan pada siklus II, hasil belajar 92.59% dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 25 siswa dari 27 siswa di kelas V SDN 111 Pekanbaru.

Efforts to developing the quality of education is empowering educators. Positive activities that accommodate teachers to improve the quality of education are the activities of the Community of Practice (CoP). Community of Practice (CoP) or KKG in Indonesia Context is a forum for professional development for primary school teachers, and one of which is improving teacher performance. The effectiveness of the CoP really needs to be studied in depth. Therefore, a study was conducted on the role of CoP in improving the performance of primary school teachers in Riau Province. The method is a quantitative descriptive study, which describes the role of CoP activities in improving teacher performance in Riau through quantitative data. The research was carried out in May-August 2020. The participant was elementary schools’ teachers in Riau Province. The data source is the primary school teachers totalling 60 people. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that there are several roles of CoP activities in improving teacher performance, among others: through CoP teachers can discuss in construct learning tools, teachers were able to arrange lesson plans for active learning based on analysis of student needs, learning materials are arranged based on various learning sources, using media active learning, analysing evaluation test and conducting assessments according to active learning and student abilities.

Abstract: The use of learning media in the teaching and learning process can generate new desires and interests, generate motivation and stimulate student learning activities. The use of learning media in the form of a pop-up book of science is one of the efforts so that students know semi-concrete shapes or images, especially on the material appearance of the earth's surface. With learning media in the form of 3 dimensions will help students' understanding and abilities. The average percentage gain from media expert validators is 94.58% and material expert validators are 95.83% with very decent criteria. For the teacher response test, the average percentage was 98.33% and the student response test was 97.40% with very decent criteria.Key Words: Science Pop Up Book Media, Earth’s Surface Appearance

The Meranti Archipelago is the largest producer and exporter of sago in Indonesia. However, in some areas, sago processing sites have not developed optimally, especially in Bagan Melibur Village. Based on this, the research team from the University of Riau carried out community service activities in Bagan Melibur Village, Merbau District, Meranti Islands, Riau on June 25 – July 1, 2021. In this activity, the research team collaborated with MSMEs BAS (Bagan Melibur Amanah Sejahtera) ) and the local community to build a drying house with UV plastic coating that can be used to dry sago cendol food products so that they can be processed into dry food which is expected to optimize the production and marketing of processed sago. Solar radiation that is absorbed directly by UV plastic functions as a conductor and retainer of heat so that the temperature in a place or room is maintained. The achievement of the results obtained in the form of a drying house with solar power that can be used at any time and in cloudy or rainy weather conditions. With this, of course, the production of dry sago cendol can last longer and can be marketed outside the Bagan Melibur area.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam Novel Secret Kingdom Pulau Awan karya Rosie Banks. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif adalah penelitian yang ingin mendeskripsikan wujud nilai karakter. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini dijabarkan kedalam langkah-langkah sesuai dengan tahapan pelaksanaannya, yaitu (1) tahap penyediaan data, (2) tahap analisis data, (3) tahap penyajian analisis data. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam Pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan teknik baca dan catat. Teknik membaca dilakukan dengan membaca novel secret kingdom karya Rosie Banks. Pada mulanya di lakukan pembacaan keseluruhan terhadap novel tersebut dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui identifikasi secara umum. Setelah itu dilakukan pembacaan secara cermat dan menginterpretasikan unsur pendidikan karakter dalam novel tersebut. Setelah membaca cermat di lakukan pencatatan langkah berikutnya adalah pencatatan yang dilakukan dengan mencatat kutipan secara langsung atau biasa disebut verbatim dari novel yang di teliti.
