Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Picture and Picture method on the narrative text writing ability of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 106 Pekanbaru. This study was motivated by the low ability of students in writing narrative texts, especially in constructing a coherent storyline, developing characterization and setting, and using language in accordance with linguistic rules. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 106 Pekanbaru involving 20 students as research subjects. The research method used was a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design of the One Group Pretest–Posttest Design type. The research instruments used included observation sheets, writing tests in the form of pretests and posttests, and documentation of students’ writing results. Assessment of narrative text writing ability focused on aspects of text structure and language use. The learning process was carried out by applying the Picture and Picture method, namely students observed, sorted, and arranged images based on certain themes as a basis for developing story ideas. The data obtained were analyzed using a t-test to determine differences in students’ narrative text writing ability before and after being given treatment. The results of the study showed an increase in the average score of students’ narrative writing skills, from 48.50 in the pretest to 60.63 in the posttest. The analysis showed that the Picture and Picture method was effective in improving the narrative writing skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 106 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the tendency to assess linguistic intelligence with a greater emphasis on verbal activity, so that the potential of students with introverted tendencies cannot be fully seen and is likely to be misunderstood. This study aims to obtain an overview of the writing skills of students with introverted tendencies in grade V of SDN 191 Pekanbaru using a linguistic intelligence test. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 7 students who have introverted tendencies at SDN 191 Pekanbaru. Data collection was conducted through a personality questionnaire using the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) scale and a writing skills test measured through five indicators, namely content relevance to the title, use of standard Indonesian spelling and grammar, choice of vocabulary, sentence structure, and neatness of writing. The results showed that the linguistic intelligence of students in terms of writing skills was in the fairly high category with an average score of 75.71. These findings prove that students with introverted tendencies have good linguistic intelligence, especially in terms of writing skills. This confirms that linguistic intelligence cannot be assessed solely based on speaking activity. Therefore, it can be said that the linguistic intelligence of students with introverted tendencies has developed quite well through writing activities as a form of language expression.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at Gugus 3 Public Elementary School, Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, with the aim of empowering elementary school teachers in designing sustainable environmental education projects based on local potential. Teachers in this area still face limitations in learning resources, understanding of environmental issues, and teaching media that are contextual to students' lives. This program is designed to increase teachers' capacity in developing and implementing environmental education pocketbooks as relevant thematic learning media and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The implementation of this community service activity is carried out through four main stages: planning, implementation, training, and evaluation. Each stage is interconnected and makes a significant contribution to program achievements. The training combines theory, discussion, and direct practice so that teachers are able to integrate environmental issues into learning. Evaluation results show that the program received a very positive response from participants with an average satisfaction score of 91.08%. Teachers reported an increase in understanding of sustainability principles, skills in designing teaching media, confidence in developing pocketbooks, and motivation to involve students in environmental projects. Although there are still challenges in the form of limited resources, this activity has proven effective in strengthening the role of teachers as agents of change in forming an environmentally aware generation and encouraging the realization of sustainable development in the region.

Abstract

Penulian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon dan interaksi siswa slow learner dalam lingkungan belajar di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 42 pekanbaru, apakah sikap siswa slow learner di dalam lingkungan belajarnya baik dan apakah respon dan interaksi sosial yang berupa komunikasi siswa slow learner baik dengan teman dan guru di dalam kelas.. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa slow learner. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan langkah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini memiliki instrumen berupa pedoman wawancara, dan pedoman observasi. Analisis data meliputi langkah reduksi data, penyajian, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa siswa slow learner AB siswa laki-laki dan MA siswi perempuan yang mengalami keterlambatan membaca dan kesulitan dalam memahami pembelajaran dengan cepat, akan tetapi siswa slow learner mampu merespon dan berinteraksi sosial dengan cukup baik bersama guru dan temannya. Dapat disimpulkan siswa slow learner dalam pembelajaran memiliki keterlambatan/ kesulitan, siswa slow learner melakukan segala aktivitas sendiri, tidak adanya rasa ingin bersaing dengan temannya saat pembelajaran. Dalam berinteraksi sosial di lingkungan belajar, siswa slow learner dapat dukungan adanya penerimaan dari temannya dan upaya guru dalam menyampaikan pesan dengan bahasa yang sederhana yang mudah dipahami. Sehingga dapat menghasilkan interaksi yang baik dan positif dalam adanya tanya jawab atau respon siswa slow learner. Dari penelitian ini, dalam pembelajaran guru menggunakan teknik pembelajaran diferensiatif dan peneliti dapat merekomendasikan untuk guru dalam menangani siswa slow learner, guru juga dapat melakukan pengajaran dengan strategi berbasis proyek dan berbasis masalah, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman, memberikan motivasi kepada siswa slow learner dan secara konsisten memberikan pengulangan materi belajar agar dapat menjadi dorongan kepadanya dan dorongan positif agar siswa tumbuh menjadi siswa aktif yang dapat merespon dan berinterkasi sosial dengan baik dan penuh percaya diri lagi dalam proses belajar maupun dilingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada Fase B di SD Negeri 005 Gunung Malelo Kabupaten Kampar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas III dan IV. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keenam dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila, yaitu beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlak mulia; berkebhinekaan global; gotong royong; mandiri; bernalar kritis; dan kreatif telah terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kelas III menunjukkan tingkat keterlaksanaan yang lebih konsisten dibandingkan kelas IV, khususnya pada aspek disiplin, kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, dan kemandirian belajar. Implementasi dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila tidak hanya tampak dalam aktivitas pembelajaran, tetapi juga dalam interaksi sosial siswa, penggunaan bahasa, kerja kelompok, serta sikap terhadap perbedaan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berperan strategis sebagai wahana pembentukan karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Namun, masih diperlukan penguatan strategi pedagogis, keteladanan guru, dan pembiasaan yang berkelanjutan agar seluruh dimensi berkembang secara optimal dan merata.

Abstract

Teachers’ creativity in developing contextual and low-cost learning media can be enhanced through the use of readily available recycled materials such as fabric scraps (patchwork). This community service program aimed to strengthen elementary school teachers’ creativity in Singingi District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, by training them to design and produce patchwork-based learning media aligned with the Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBdP) curriculum. The program was implemented in four stages: needs assessment, planning and instrument development, training implementation, and outcome analysis. Twenty teachers from two elementary schools participated in a short lecture, guided discussion on classroom integration, demonstrations, and hands-on group practice. Knowledge gains were measured through a pre-test and post-test, while creativity was assessed using an observation rubric and product documentation. Descriptive analysis showed improved mastery of the material (from 4.00% to 86.00%) and increased variation in the learning media produced, indicating stronger skills in selecting materials, processing patchwork, and designing safe, functional, and attractive media with clearer plans for classroom implementation.

Abstract

Having computational thinking skills and numeracy literacy is a must in the era of technological development as it is today. However, there are still few studies that discuss the relationship between these two variables. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of relationship between Computational thinking skills and numeracy literacy of fifth grade students of SDIT Raudhaturrahmah. This study is a quantitative correlation study with a survey method by taking 49 respondents from all fifth grade students at SDIT Raudhaturrahmah the type of research used in this study, namely the test of computational thinking skills and numeracy literacy. in this study SDIT Raudhaturrahman Pekanbaru of 49 students who were sample objects had high computational thinking skills with an average percentage of 63.78% while literacy was in the medium category with a percentage of 57.55%. In this study From the results above, it shows that there is a significant relationship between the variables of Computational Thinking and Numeracy Literacy seen from the sign value which is <0.05. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ science process skills in science education at the elementary school level, which is still dominated by teacher-centered instruction. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the science process skills of fifth-grade students at an elementary school in Pekanbaru. This study employs a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were 54 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 105 Pekanbaru, comprising Class VA as the experimental group and Class VE as the control group. Data collection techniques included KPS test questions, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including tests of normality, tests of homogeneity, paired-sample t-tests, N-Gain tests, and independent-sample t-tests. The results of the study showed that the mean pretest score for the experimental class was 41.30, increasing to 78.15 on the posttest, while the control class’s score increased from 35.37 to 44.26. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the Discovery Learning model on students’ science process skills. Furthermore, the N-Gain test results for the experimental class were 0.64, categorized as moderate, while those for the control class were 0.12, categorized as low. Thus, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model has a significant effect on improving the science process skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 105 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low understanding of fifth grade elementary school students regarding the use of capital letters and the lack of interactive learning media used in Indonesian language learning. This study aimed to develop an interactive learning media using the Prezi website on capital letter material for fifth grade elementary school students that is valid and practical. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students and teachers at elementary school. Data collection techniques used validation sheets and practicality questionnaires. The results showed that the interactive learning media developed obtained a validity percentage from media experts of 91.6% with a very valid category, material experts of 98% with a very valid category, and language experts of 92.5% with a very valid category. The practicality test results obtained a percentage of 90.6% from students and 89% from teachers with a very practical category. Therefore, the interactive learning media using the Prezi website on capital letter material is feasible and practical to be used in the learning process for fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effect of the Project Based Learning model on the knowledge of Riau Malay culture among fourth-grade students at SDN 183 Pekanbaru. This research employed an experimental method with a pre-experimental design using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 30 students from Class IV C. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments as well as student activity observation sheets. The results showed an improvement in students’ knowledge of Riau Malay culture after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model. The average pretest score increased from 61.50 to 74.00 on the posttest. Furthermore, the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, demonstrating a significant effect of the Project Based Learning model on students’ knowledge of Riau Malay culture. Student learning activities were also categorized as very good, with an average percentage of 89.81%. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model can be considered an effective learning alternative for improving students’ knowledge of local culture and enhancing their active participation in the learning process. The implementation of Project Based Learning provided meaningful learning experiences by involving students directly in observing, collecting information, discussing, developing projects, and presenting the results. Through project activities related to Zapin dance, traditional Malay games, and traditional Malay houses, students were encouraged to think critically, collaborate effectively, and develop creativity and responsibility. These learning experiences not only strengthened students’ understanding of cultural concepts but also fostered appreciation and awareness of preserving local cultural heritage
